Prologue

  "Are you okay?" I heard a voice say as I tried to get up. I could not really see well,my ear kept ringing and my head banging. My vision was blur as I tried to get a clear image of my house.

   " Are you okay?" I heard again, as I turned my head. I saw a lady disinfecting my arm with methylated spirit.

   I looked around to see my house in ashes,I wondered what happened. As firefighters try to take out the fire, people from the neighborhood had already gathered round my house.

Then it hit me. Grandma,house,explosion. It was clear now. Where is grandma? I can't find her.

  "Where is my grandmother?" I looked around to see if she was  in another ambulance but I could not find her anywhere. 

  "The fire fighters are trying to see if there is still anyone in the house, okay?" She said as I slightly nod my head.

    Then a man approached us, he was tall and dark, probably around his mid 40's. He is definitely a police. I thought, as he came near the woman taking care of me.

   "Hey Cassie, how is she?"

" She is okay, but she still need medical attention" She scribbled something in her note and left.

" Hello Chloe, my name is George Phillips. I'm from the California Bureau of Investigation. " He stretched his hand forward for a shake but I ignored him.

" Where is my grandmother?" I asked with a stern face.

" Okay listen Chloe, she's dead. We could not find her in one piece, she was very close to the source of the explosion. She was burnt beyond recognition." He said looking at me with pity in his eyes.

  I went completely pale. The words kept repeating in my head

She's dead.

" No! No! No! " I screamed and cried as I tried to pull off the needle, they all came and pushed me down back on the stretcher.

  It can't be, I can't lose the one person that loves me. The one person that cares for me is gone.

My world shatter into a million pieces before me. I felt something sting as I noticed my eyes were heavy. I tried to look around but I drifted into a deep sleep.

    I don't know who did it or why but I am sure as hell going to make them pay.
