14 Phantom Hunter

After school, Claude quickly headed home when he suddenly received a call.

"Young Master welcome home," Walden said

"Walden, I'll be leaving. Tell father that I might be gone for a few days," he said as he quickly headed to his room.

"Was that the Young Master?" Martha said popping out from the corner.

Walden sighed in disappointment, "He just returned yet he needs to go again."

After Claude pack his thing, a car outside his home was already waiting for him. He got inside the car as Martha and Walden watch him left once again.

"Lesley, you b*tch you better do your job well," Franco yelled as Cordell tries to heal his wounds.

Lesley was busy striking down the enemies at front, her Caster Weapon was a bow which was constructed with fine adamantium. The outer side has been decorated with high-tech gadgets attached to it. She could fire her arrows up to 160 meters while still keeping lethal power.

"Shut up, I'm trying my best here..." She yelled

They did not expect that the rescue mission they were tasked turned into an ambushed, who would have thought that one of the small city of M City has been the territory of demons.

Cordell finally finished healing Franco, "Lesley can you still handle them?"

"Not for long, I can keep this up for another hour or two then..." she said

Cordell ponders on what to do, Franco was wounded and could not fight. He too was already exhausted after using all his remaining energy to heal Franco. Not only that, they have other people with them this time which makes thing difficult. He beat his thumb as he thought of a way to save everyone.

As time passed by, Lesley finally collapses as she reached her limit.

She coughed blood as she tries to get up, but Cordell stops her from picking up her bow, "Enough..."

He's Caster Weapon then emerge in the shape of two rifles, he patted Lesley on the head, "Take a break, let me clear them for a while." He then steps out of their hiding spot and came out to the open clearing the demons around them one at a time.

Few hours have passed by and Cordell to has reached his limit, he collapses on his knees as he watched the demons in front of him, "F*ck you all."

The demons roared as they Demonoids smiled seeing him so weak on his knees. As one of the Demonoids slowly gets close to the wounded Cordell, he was suddenly shot turning him into ashes. It caused the Demons and Demonoid to panic as they wonder where the gunshot came from.

Everyone hiding behind the building witness what happened, they all released who it was. Only one person could turn things into ashes.

"Everyone we're saved, up there..." one of the hunter cried

"Little Brother..." Franco murmured

The person on top of the building was wearing a black coat making him look mysterious especially with the silver-masked he was wearing. He was known for being one of the top Hunter. He and his team were one of the Elite and respected team because of him. Since apart from his team knows his true identity, everyone else gave him the title Phantom Hunter.

Within a blink of an eye, he was suddenly standing by Cordell, "Captain are you alright?"

"Shouldn't you be at school?" Cordell said since it was already daybreak, the Commander must have expected things to end up like this or else he wouldn't be here.

"Captain, allow me..." Phantom Hunter said as he started healing him using the AMSD he was wearing.

Everyone behind them was surprised he was using an AMSD, they never thought the rumors were true indeed. He was the only Hunter who relies on the device instead of his own caster ability. However, the device he was using wasn't ordinary since it was specially modified for him and have special further unlike normal devices.

After he healed Cordell, "Captain let me handle this..."

Cordell just smiled as he then vanished from beside him striking down the demons and Demonoids in front of them.

It caused the demons and Demonoid to panic as they were being taken down at such speed, they weren't able to catch up to him. Despite Demons and Demonoid are known to be at least 2 to 3 times stronger than Caster Hunter, he was almost on pare with them being able to take them down in one go.

The sight of there comrade turning to ashes made the other Demons and Demonoid to tremble as they started disappearing in front of them running away for there lives.

The Phantom Hunter did not chase after them and instead went back to where everyone else. Cordell was already there busy helping everyone.

"Little Brother, I missed you..." Lesley said as he hugged the man tightly.

It surprises the other hunter to find out he was younger then Lesley, since she was already 23 they could not believe it. It means he started at a very young age and whats even amazing it that he already possess such ability.

"Captain, we better leave at once before they'll come back with more reinforcement." Phantom Hunter said

"Everyone, get ready we're leaving." He yelled.

Back in one of the Hunter Association nearby headquarters. Everyone finally was able to breathe properly when they have left the borders of the city. The medical team then quickly went into action as they checked on them.

Cordell and Phantom Hunter then head to the commander office of the headquarters.

"Commander."

The Commander went over and greeted them, "Thank you for coming and helping us out."

"No worries Commander," Cordell said

After they've reported everything to the Commander, they headed back to there room. Inside Lesley and Franco were already arguing with each other.

"It's all your fault if you weren't stupid enough to get caught." She yelled

"Aren't you supposed to have good eyes, how could you not see the traps laying around," he yelled

Cordell then blasted a strong force causing both of them to crash to the wall, such force can kill ordinary people. The two of them just dust off the dust from the crash, such force even causes the walls to crack.

Lesley then grab hold of Phantom Hunter, "When will you be leaving?"

"I'll be leaving now to check the border and make sure none of them followed us, afterward I'll be heading home," he replied

Lesley face drastically change as she let go of the man's arm, she felt upset the fact he had to live all of the sudden. "I've missed you little bother."

Phantom Hunter then greeted them farewell as he steps out of the door. The three of them watched as the man left without a word, for everyone he is a cold-hearted man but for them he is their little brother who they worry for all the time.
