Inside a car driving away from the city and into the countryside. Claude was happily playing around with his grandparents at the back of the car, whilst Alex and Levin sat at the front. Since school has ended Alex decide to take Claude away from the city and from his family. After what happened during his birthday, his family has constantly contacted him and visit them in order to win Claude favor.

"Claude, drink some water." The elderly woman said

Claude drunk the water as he handed it back to her, "Father, are we almost there?"

"Be patient," he replied

Not long they arrived at a traditional Japanese inn, they were greeted by women dressed in kimono and the guest inside was also dressed in one. They were then brought to their room, Claude stays in one room with Alex and Levin while the elders in one.

Claude was overly excited with the unfamiliar place, "Father look, they're a pond outside." He said as he runs to check it out, "Father, there are fish too..."

Alex smiled seeing the young boy so free, "Claude let's get change first."

Claude quickly runs back and got changed to some fresh cloth.

Since both elders were exhausted from the journey they rested instead giving Alex and Levin time with Claude. The three of them decide to go and visit the town. For a small town, it was vast and lively, there were loads of shops and people roaming around.

"Sir, here you go..." A lady said while giving them a flyer.

Alex and Levin check the flyer out leaving Claude to wonder what it is, "Father, Professor what is it?"

"There will be a fireworks display tonight at the shrine, do you want to see it?" he said

"Can we?" he asked

Alex picked Claude up from the ground and carried him, "Of course, here keep this, show it to your grandparents if they wish to come."

As they roamed around the different shops and vendors around the town, Alex and Levin were in high alert when they felt an unwanted presence.

"Claude go buy yourself some ice cream," Alex said while handing him some money and pointing at the ice cream stall. As they watched Claude walked away from them, Alex's face became serious, "Handle it properly..."

"Gosh, why must I do the cleaning..." Levin sighed, " No worries, I'll catch up."

Levin did as Alex order and walked away from them, he then went to the people who were following them since they arrived at the inn. He cast a spell making the men following them unable to move at the same time preventing people from seeing or hearing them. He then appeared in front of them walking seriously and unhappy.

"Better tell me who sent you, I'm not in the mood already?" he said

It surprised the men at Levin sudden appearance at the same time they wondered why they all couldn't move.

"What's going on?" he yelled

"Boss what should we do?"

Levin pinched his middle brow, "Please, don't make this hard on yourself."

The boss of the group cast a strong spell causing all of them to break free from Levin's spell, Levin was not surprise but more of disappointed. The group of 5 men was all smiling as they saw Levin expression changed.

"Boy you should have stayed with them..." he said

Levin released a deep sighed, "So troublesome..."

Before the men could act, they looked at each other feeling a sudden pain in their body, they watch each other as they notice part of there body was chopped off into a different piece. The boss looked around as he saw his men all chopped into pieces and as there body fell on the ground. He was trembling in fears as to what just happened, then he looked at the calm man standing in front of them.

"You..." he said, he then noticed invisible strings on the man which were covered in blood drops. It didn't take him long to realize how his comrade died. "What do you want?"

"Didn't I asked you that earlier already?" Levin said

"I can give you anything just spare my life..." he said

Levin was getting annoyed at the scene as the man pleads on his knees to beg for his life.

"Please, don't kill me..."

Unlike Alex who is patient towards things, Levin watches patiently as the man continued to plead for his life despite he was at his limit already since it was summer and hot. "Just tell me what I want?"

"If I tell you will you spare my life?" he asked

"Sure," he said

"It was Mr. Cromwell who asked us, there I told you so please spare my life," he said

Levin did as he said and left the man alone, for him his life was not for him to take since he knows the man would die anyway since the Cromwell will surely have cursed them if every they revealed who ordered them.

Levin came back to where Alex and Claude was, Claude was still patiently lining up to buy his ice cream when Alex saw him. "Done?"

"Hmmm," he replied

"My family?" he asked

Levin just nodded

Alex already expected all of this since he has rejected all his family offers in taking Claude as there own child. Since the elder announced that Claude is a possible heir, he has anticipated things would end up like and that they'll be playing with dirt.

"Father, Professor..." Claude said bringing them a cup of ice cream.

They each took the ice cream as they cooled off by the nearby benches.

Afterward, they continued to tour the town then headed back to the inn before dark.

That evening, they all dress in kimono as they visit the Japanese shrine on top of the mountain. There they saw loads of food stalls and game stalls for them to try. Claude was enjoying all the activities in the area whilst the elderly couple, Alex and Levin watch him from a distance.

"Claude, stay with your grandparent, me and Levin need to handle something," he said

"I will father..." he replied

After Alex and Levin left, Claude and his grandparents search for a peaceful area for them to sit and rest as well as a great view of the fireworks.

While Claude went to get some refreshment for his grandparents, he notices a strange presence in the area, it was strong at the same time scary. Claude continued to ponder what the presence could be, he went and investigate that strange presence. As he went deep into the shrine woodland, he saw something he wishes he didn't see.

"Help!"

"Ah..."

Claude was trembling in fear and collapse on the ground from what he was seeing, he saw demons were killing the people at the same time Demonoid casting portal letting the demon monster to enter the area. Demon monsters are a creature with demonic dark energy, while Demonoid is demon-human.

As he continued to witness what was happening, he finally snaps back to his sense when he suddenly heard more people were screaming. He then remembers his grandparents as he drops the drinks he brought. He quickly runs back to them as the crowd of people runs in fears as they were being attacked by demons.

Those who were able to fight back tried to help and defend themselves. However, demons are three times and more strong than humans. Since they were out in the country the people there were weaker than those in the city.

"Someone help!"

"Please save my child."

Alex and Levin were away from the shrine when they just finished cleaning off the men Alex's family has sent. As they were headed back, they saw people running down the staircase some covered in blood and fear printed on there face.

"Claude..." Alex said as his face went pale.

While the rest continued to run for there life, Claude was busy trying to get through the crowd as he searches for his grandparent. He was in a panic as he worries that something has happened to them.

At that moment, Claude finally saw his grandparent who was unharmed hiding behind one of the stalls. As he tries to get closer to them, a demon was approaching them. His eyes widen as he pulled out the gun Levin gave him and shot at the demon causing it to turn into ashes.

"Grandpa, Granny are you alright?" he asked

"Claude you alright?" the elder man said in surprised of what Claude just did.

"Claude, let's get out of here..." she said

Claude helps the elder to get up on their feet as they try to escape from the battle. Claude defended themselves as he continued to turn demons into ashes. Both elders were surprised in seeing Claude do so well, they did not expect he would be that strong to kill them in one go.

"Help!" A woman yelled as she held onto her baby.

Claude saw the woman but was contemplating if whether to go and help, since he didn't want to live his grandparents alone.

Both elder notice Claude feeling anxious about the situation, the elder woman kneeled down and kiss his forehead, "Go..."

Claude did not hesitate and rescued the woman and baby. He killed all the monster surrounding them. But as he turned around to check on his grandparents, they were already down on the ground covered in blood as a demon monster already killed them.

His eyes widen and tears suddenly started dropping from his face, he did not know what to do, he was furious at the same time upset of what just happened. What he feared suddenly appeared in front of him. Claude screamed causing a strong wave of power to emerge from him, then suddenly two small silver blade sword appeared in both his hand.

Within a blink of an eye, he started killing all the monsters right in front of him. Those who were around witness as the monster all suddenly turning into ashes. It didn't take long for the area to be cleared whilst Claude kneed beside his grandparents covered with demon monster blood and his grandparents. He cried as he felt the guilt of what just happened, he should have not left there side.

The woman who was saved by Claude earlier went beside him, "Thank you, I'm sorry..."

Claude did not say anything and continued to cry his heart out, in just a blink of an eye his grandparents died.

At the same time, Alex and Levin just finished killing off all the demon monster and Demonoid. After they finished clearing the area, they quickly looked for Claude. When Alex saw Claude being embarrassed by a woman whilst his grandparents were dead cold on the ground. He quickly runs to him and grabs him away from the woman, he held him tightly, "Claude, I'm sorry, this is all my fault."

Claude continued to cry, as he grabs Alex shirt smugging blood all over it. "Grandpa, Granny..."

"Claude, I'm sorry..." he said

Levin watched from a distance wonder what happened, he was sure that Claude could protect them and easily defeat the monster. He then notified the woman beside them holding onto her baby, he sighed as he figured out what happened.
