23 Be Careful

It was already pasted lunch when Claude headed back to the infirmary to check on Leo. When he got there, Leo was already awake and seated on his bed.

"Claude," Leo said as he got out from his bed

"I see you fine now." He said, he then handed him the plastic bag filled with food.

Leo felt embarrassed seeing Claude was concerned for him, "Thanks."

Both of them then walked out of the infirmary after confirming he was fine since Leo didn't felt enjoy staying in the infirmary longer for there were too many wounded students lying around. Also, they needed to go to the East side of the academy for his next match.

"So how did you match went?" Leo asked

"Fine..." Claude replied

Leo was used to Claude short respond, despite they've only been friends for a couple of days, he felt like they were best friends. While others see Claude as strange and weird. For Leo, he's someone who does not like to show off when it comes to his true self.

"That good, you still have one more match later don't you?" he asked

"Hmm..."

"If you don't mind, how about hanging out later?" he asked

"Sorry, I'm busy..." he replied

"Oh-" Leo was a bit disappointed hearing Claude respond, but he knew Claude must have something important to do. The fact his been away for a while as well.

"Let's go," Claude said seeing Leo depress expression.

When they arrived at the east side of the academy, there was quite a crowd watching the current match.

"I wonder who's battling," Leo asked

Claude and Leo headed to the second floor, there many people have gathered to watch the game.

"Excuse me, who's fight?" Leo asked

"It's the Academy President."

Claude and Leo pushed through the crowded to see the battle, currently, the Academy President is Claude's cousin. Since the Academy President is mainly done by votes and popularity, since she was from the Clan Leader family, of course, she won all the votes.

"Wow, the Academy President is sure stronger than last year."

"She sure is much powerful than she was before. I wonder what training she did."

"This year Academy President is even from the main clan."

Claude watch carefully how Aria battled his opponent, he has not seen her for a long time so he does not know how strong she is now. Unlike the rest of his family, Aria was the only one who seems neutral for power and fame. She either does not care about it nor used it for any necessary enjoyment, unlike their other cousins.

As she cast stronger magic on her opponent, Aria continued to control her magic at the same time focus all her energy on her last attack. In the end, she won the battle without even using her Caster Weapon.

Leo and Claude headed to the entrance of the battleground, at that moment, Aria was coming out of the door.

As she and Claude passed by each other, she softly whispered to him, "Be careful..."

Claude turned around as he watched Aria walked away, he wonders what could she probably mean by that, could she be giving him a warning for some treat or something?

"Claude is something wrong?" Leo asked

"Nothing, good luck," he replied

"Thanks" Leo smiled

Since Leo match just started, Claude informed him he'll be taking a stroll around the battleground. As he was checking for the schedule of battle, a group of student suddenly surrounded him.

"So Claude tell us how did you actually win all your battle?" Seid asked

Claude ignored them as he headed back to the training room. It didn't please Seid that he was ignored again, but he needed to stay calm and avoid any trouble since he needs to participate in the Academy Ranking.

"Seid, don't do anything stupid..." Logan said who was standing by the corner

"I know..." he yelled

Logan sighed seeing Seid hatred towards Claude, he does not understand why he suddenly showed an interest towards him. Since his brother told him to be careful towards Claude since then he became pissed off and annoyed towards him. He watched as Claude walked away, since the first time they meet, he did sense something strange about him but he didn't ponder on it.

" I need to go, I still have a match," Logan said

"Fine..." Seid replied as they all followed him out of the battleground.

As Claude sense they were all away, he turned around and took a quick glimpse at them. Afterward, he headed back to the door entrance to check on Leo. It was the perfect timing people might say but for Claude, he already notices that Leo has won the battle.

"Wow, Claude how did you know that my matched ended already?" he said seeing him walking towards his direction.

"Let's go," he said

Leo did not further question how Claude figured out his battle ended, instead he followed him to the next area for his battle.
