Roe II The Summoner

The foods from the stalls along the city streets were amazingly tasteful. Roe II was also enjoying my treat of every tasty food we encounter as we are heading to a place to stay for the day and talk about this game that I am in. Roe II gave me a brief notes about this place and she identified it as a game that turned to be real for the people of the land or NPC's. None player characters or commonly known as NPC's who are supposed to be delivering monologues and supposed to be immortal in the game became "alive" in the sense that when they die, they cannot resurrect anymore. Unlike players or "Adventurers" as they are being called by the people of the land resurrect when they are killed and they respawn in a place called "cathedral". In addition, there were anomalies in the game like the transport gates in every city are not working which is supposed to be used to travel city to another city. Players can't even log-out from the game hence they called this phenomenon "the catastrophe". It was already more than a year since the "catastrophe" began as Roe II stated and what I am seeing is the product of that.

We reached our destination and rented a place near the market. It was an unrented place leashed by the game system and it costs 10 gold for every 24 hours. We set the foods we bought along the way on the table and began eating with whatever we like to eat. Roe II started the conversation.

"So Spade, what is your character class and your current level?"

"I'm a Brekenspear according here in my character page. A spear handler as main class and mage as sub-class." I replied.

Roe II paused for a second and then talked. "This is my first time hearing that class. It's kind of unique if you ask me. And how about your level?"

"I'm still at level 15."

Roe II blurted a laugh. "I can't believe you are level 15 and yet you were able to kill someone easily. You are rather interesting one."

No offence taken on my part because I think that was complimentary laugh on the fight I displayed earlier, considering I was able to take down one of the eight assailants. She also seemed to be the happy-honest type whom I can go with easily.

"How about you sister Roe, what is your class and level?" I asked.

"I am a level 90 summoner with a sub-class of vampire" she replied in a proud manner. "But sometimes, this vampire class is really pain in the ass. I easily get weak during the day" she added.

"It is still pretty awesome to hear someone being a vampire. Is there anything I should know more about this game?" I asked.

"Let's see." Roe II paused for a second. "This food we are eating is prepared by a player who has high cooking skills. If you try cooking without any cooking skills, it would actually turn out bad."

"That's why when I tried making sandwich earlier, it doesn't really taste that great." I blurted out.

"There are also new monsters that appear on a certain events and attacks not just adventurers but the entire town and cities for their emphations and it is my duty to investigate about this phenomenon."

"What is this emphations exactly?" I asked.

"It is still not clear in my case but it seems like it is something every adventurer has."

Our discussion continued till evening talking mainly about our experiences in this world. I told her about how I started the game and my fights along the way before I met her. She on the other hand talked about her experience with people of a certain guild called "Log Horizon" and she seemed to have a good time with them. Even I who was just listening to her tales made me had interest with those people and suddenly I felt like meeting them. She mentioned about her helping them about a certain quest and monster raids. I got curious about what she said and asked about a certain item she mentioned, the "magic bag".

"Sister Roe, what's this magic bag and what's it used for?" I curiously asked.

"According from those little kids, it is an item that can store more items than the inventory page. Do you want one?" Roe II asked.

"It sounds handy. Where can I get this exactly?"

Suddenly she turned quiet and looked into my eyes, a glitter sparkled from her eyes, and without other questions she asked me if I want to go on that magic storage quest. After some thought, I accepted her generous offer. It will benefit me anyway and she'll even help me level up so I can manage myself against strong foes in the future. Being with somebody who has knowledge about the game would even be nice on my part. I can learn faster about how this game works.

I can't thank Roe II enough for her generous offer despite she has a mission to think of. She said that her mission is to investigate different places so it would still be a win-win situation for both of us. She also said that there is a place near the quest area that she wants to investigate anyway so it was no problem for her. Before hitting the sack, we went on the details of the quest she's helping me and told me to visit the market for stocks like potions and rations for the travel. It was already 8:30 in the evening so we decided to take our rest for tomorrow's challenges.
