Chapter 1: Planning amidst trouble in the space-time continuum

Earth - 2025

3 days after the summoning incident.

Rei POV:

Being left out in a class summoning is a pain in the ass. Police and detectives will come to you almost daily to ask you some questions. Reporters, and journalists will also come to my place and my school where I am temporarily transferred to another class. All in all, what a pain.

It is not like I can say that all my classmates and my physics teacher are summoned to another world. All I can say is the truth. What I mean by the truth is just explaining what happens in a systematic manner as what a normal person who doesn't know isekai would do.

In the end, they somehow think that my physics teacher (Matsumura Sadao) kidnaps the whole class and the light that I see is just a flashbang being detonated. There is still no lead in the investigation and thus this case is temporarily suspended.

You might think why your project is suspicious you ask? Well, it started when the COVID-19 pandemic happened and the government issued a lockdown on some areas affected by the pandemic where I am not able to go out and need to stay inside my house.

With being locked in my room because of the so-called lockdown from the COVID-19 pandemic which happened 5 years ago, I began to find my passion in the world of magic. It is not just magic, I also find supernatural phenomena, Extra Sensory PERception, Cultivation, and surprisingly science fiction involving space and mecha to be intriguing.

Then began my project that I called Project Iniziation which focuses on creating a portal to another world. Of course, the immense difficulty of this project is hard bordering impossible. To begin with, I don't even know where is the exact space coordinate of a magical civilization planet or world, let alone teleportation technology.

But, this almost impossible feat is finally done by this great me. It was a hard and arduous project to create space teleportation which was able to teleport any object and even living organism to another location. It was hard to find the right method of teleportation as I can't really use the relativity path or the blackhole mechanism which involves the use of a bend in space-time to create a portal that sucks the space from space contraction due to limitation in tools and my laboratory.

What I used in my teleportation device mechanism is the quantum mechanics path. To explain simply, I created something which I eventually called an SES device or in full-term, space entangled switching devices. This device works by using a material I invent which behaves similarly to a particle with the principle of quantum entanglement and quantum superposition called Quantanite(I named it myself, not really original but whatever). After researching its molecular behavior, I found out that somehow this material elementary particle is not really connected with each other. What I mean is that in all the atoms, specifically its proton and neutron of this material, the up quark and down quark are not really connected and just held together loosely.

This somehow creates a material that is composed of a loosely bonded elementary particle as there is not really an atom nor proton or neutron (electron is an elementary particle). It is intriguing that this material in fact is a solid as although its elementary particle is not connected, somehow it stays in its place. The material is quite elastic if I have to say and kind of like metallic rubber or shape memory alloy, but its special properties are what make this material the best material to create a teleportation technology.

I found this material by accident from mixing a somewhat radioactive technetium I created in my lab with a mixture of nickel and titanium. How do I have a lab you say? Well, I created one from the money that I gained from the stock market and some bitcoin mining when it was in its peak to collect funds and create a secret underground lab under my house. My parents died when I was 6 years old so it was of no concern to me to build a lab under my house.

Back to the material, I found out that when 2 of this material is subjected to electromagnetic radiation of the same frequency while being in contact, a connection or should I say entanglement is produced between the 2. After the 2 material is entangled, just by providing some electromagnetic radiation of the correct frequency, the space around the material switches its spatial location and somehow creates pseudo teleportation. I also found out that anything that is encased in the material while being switched will also switch, providing the base of my teleportation technology.

What I do is simply build a capsule for me and a beacon which can be used to switch places with the capsule. While I still didn't develop multi beacon teleportation, this is enough to make me a genius of the century if I published my findings. As for the weebs and otaku out there, I am simply recreating the legendary hiraishin no Jutsu (downgrade version) from the Orange Ramen Ninja.

But well, the reason for my project being stuck with no lead is because as I explained before, it is just switching between locations. I need to have my beacon in the other world to really have me switch places with the beacon and transfer to another world. However, with the recent incident of class summoning, I can finally do this.

How do you ask? It is because not only living organisms are the one that is summoned to the other side, but also the physical non-living organisms.

(Rei) "It is lucky for me that the summoning magic or anything that summons them also teleports all the non-living things including my stuff to the other side."

(Rei) "Furthermore It is also extremely lucky for me to have my beacon in my backpack causing it to also get transferred"

Yes, the reason why I am happy is that they also summon my stuff and thus my SES beacon is finally in the other world!

(Rei) "I was always wondering why in many light novels, web novels, manga, or anime never once the table and their belongings such as bags didn't get transferred to another world? But I finally got my answer with the whole classroom including the desk and all my belongings also summoned to another world."

Of course, I don't immediately go on my adventure to another world but prepare all the things that I need to have and get such as a power bank with a solar-powered charger, laptop, phone(new one as the old one is already summoned), some supplies and most importantly external storage devices.

Although I have an eidetic memory and a bit of photographic memory which I trained, I can't just read the whole knowledge in the world to memorize them right? Despite being able to store and organise my memory like a storage in my head, I still need to input them manually or should I say reading them which will take a long time. That is why I bring lots of external storage that I used to store as much knowledge of the world such as science, economy, and so on in my external storage as my laptop and phone storage are not enough to store all of them.

While I can buy some questionable lab materials and devices through some sources, buying a weapon is still not possible for me and so I can't really bring a gun or modern weaponry to the other world. Although firearms and the like are impossible, Cold weapons are still possible as I have a real katana that I used for my usual practice in my bag for my preparation to transfer.

It takes me 4 days to prepare all my preparations and it's been a week since the summoning. If there is no time dilation, then I think I am gonna get there when they are still training in basic combat and training their skills.

While it might be weird for me to suddenly disappear, the police might just think that I am also being kidnaped by my physics teacher for being a witness. I offer my condolences to my physics teacher when we get back.

Before starting my isekai, I need to hide the place for my transfer as I don't want any detective to find my beacon and take it away from the initial location. I also need to create a scheme (with a glove of course) to make it seem as if I struggled before being hit in the head and kidnapped from my home (I hope this doesn't make my physics teacher get arrested if we somehow get back). With that out of the way, I can finally transfer to another world.

I am currently in my secret basement beside my bag, SES capsule and SES transmitter. This transmitter is used to send the correct frequency of electromagnetic radiation that will cause the switching effect of my SES device.

You might think that these teleportation devices of mine cost a lot of energy, then you are wrong. These devices actually cost little energy as I just need to use around the same amount of energy which is used to light a lamp for 1 day or around 10 kWh

Oh and I dunno if I explained this before, but I just need to radiate the electromagnetic radiation to only one of the devices to cause the switching phenomenon so I don't really need to make the other half to be in a place where I also need to give it EM radiation.

I enter the capsule with my bag and start to type in my transmitter as there are actually no electrical devices in the capsule.

(Rei) "Yosh! with this, I can finally experience the adventure of Isekai myself and also further my research in magic and supernatural phenomena."

(Rei) "EM radiation stabilizes in 3...2...1… now! ~zhoop~"

And with that, what was left behind is a square pyramid silverish object on the ground of a dark basement.
