4 “I also want friends..”

*Flashback Chapter: First Day of School*

"I also want friends.." Jimin whispered to his penguin plushie on top of his desk.

The 6-year-old boy is almost with his drawing, he picked up the yellow crayon and draw a sun with a smiley face. "Finished!" He said. His teacher approaches him with a warm smile.

"Sweetie why are you alone in your drawing?" She asked, she told the kids to draw a picture of them with their best friends. But Jimin, he just draw himself. The little boy pouts, "I.. I don't have any friends.."

"I'm sure everyone here wants to be friends with you. Don't be shy okay? Try to approach them with a smile." She pinched Jimin's cheeks, the boy flashes a soft smile and a nod.

The bell rang and all of the children went out of the classroom including Jimin who is still holding his plushie. "Hey! Want to play at the park?" Jimin turns his head hoping someone is trying to talk to him. He sighed when he realized that the kid is not talking to him but to the boy near him.

He remembered what his teacher had told him, "I'm going to make a friend today. Even only one." He said. Jimin followed the kids to the park. But as the boy tried to approach them, he accidentally stepped on his untied shoelace causing him to have a wound on his right knee and started crying. No one even bothered to help him until-

"Hey are you okay?" A boy asked, Jimin raised his head up shaking it side by side. The boy guided Jimin to sit at a bench near them. "Wait a sec." he put down his backpack trying to find something. Jimin stopped crying, "Okay.." he used his small hands to wipe his tears.

"Found it!" The boy said. In his hand, was a cute black kumamon band aid. He quickly place it on top of jimin's wound.

"Why are you crying?" He asked, sitting beside Jimin. "I'm going to make friends but I accidentally stepped on my shoelaces."

"Where are your other friends?" He asked again. "My only friend is Pengsoo, and no one wants to talk to me!" Jimin pouted. "But i'm already talking to you! We can be friends! who is Pengsoo? Isn't that the giant penguin mascot?"

"Why do you ask so many questions? That's Pengsoo!" Jimin points at his little plushie laying on the spot where he stumbled earlier. The boy quickly ran to get the penguin and handed it to Jimin,"Here you go! I saved you and your penguin friend!" He giggles.

"Uhm.. Thank you for helping us! My name is Jimin! From now on we're friends!"

"Cool! My name is Yoongi."

Both of them chatted with each other like they've been friends for a long time. After a few minutes of debating whether which one is better, Kumamon or Pengsoo, Jimin was called by his mom.

Both of the boys waved each other a goodbye with smiles on their faces.
