1 The Start

In the early 1920s, a boy named James was born into a poor family in the rural South. His father, a sharecropper, struggled to provide for his wife and five children, often resorting to drinking moonshine to numb the pain of their poverty. As James grew older, he dreamt of escaping the cycle of poverty and finding a better life for himself. He was drawn to the glamour and adventure of the US military, and at the age of 18, he enlisted in the Army.

James quickly rose through the ranks, proving to be a skilled and dedicated soldier. He was stationed in various parts of the world, learning new languages and customs. His intelligence and charm made him popular among his fellow soldiers and officers alike. However, beneath this charming exterior lay a dark secret: James had been recruited by a radical political organization that sought to overthrow the US government.

Years passed, and James's rise through the ranks of the military continued. He was eventually promoted to the rank of major and given a top-secret assignment: to infiltrate the highest levels of the US government and assassinate the president. As James prepared for the mission of a lifetime, he couldn't help but reflect on the irony of his situation: he was about to kill the one man who represented everything he had ever aspired to be.

The day finally arrived. James, now disguised as a high-ranking official, gained access to the president's private quarters. He drew his weapon, took a deep breath, and knocked on the door. The president, taken aback by the sudden intrusion, opened the door a crack. In a single swift motion, James pushed the door open fully and fired several shots, striking the president multiple times.

As James stood over the dying president, he felt a mixture of elation and despair. He had accomplished his mission, but at what cost? The weight of his actions hung heavily on his shoulders as he waited for the inevitable consequences. The news of the president's assassination spread like wildfire, plunging the nation into chaos and leaving James as the most wanted man in America.

He fled the scene, changing his appearance and identity several times to evade capture. For months, he lived on the run, always looking over his shoulder, always wondering when the net would finally close in. During this time, he often thought of his family, wondering if they would ever know the truth about what he had done. Eventually, he decided that the only way to protect them was to disappear completely, to live the rest of his life as a fugitive, forever haunted by the ghosts of his past.
