2 Confusing Start

A big head ache jolted the lady awake, she fluttered her eyes open slowly as she's having a difficulty opening her eyes because of the light and because of the head ache she's experiencing. A white ceiling greeted her, she traveled her eyes around and realised she was in a hospital room.

'Ah! Was I rescued from that heavy rain? Thank goodness!' she thought as she remembered her scary slip on the pavement.

'that was really scary, I thought I'll die' she mused but then she was confused, why was she in a private room? Her thoughts were cut short by the entrance of a doctor, he was a gentle looking middle-aged man followed by a nurse.

"Oh, You're finally awake!" the doctor said as he approached her and made a thorough check up as the nurse checked her IV drip.

"Looking good, let me call your parents, they are worried sick about you" he continued as he dialed his phone.

She was waiting for the doctor when a thought suddenly bombarded her, 'how did they know my parents? Was that normal? Oh--probably they... Wait shouldn't they ask me who to contact?... Nevermind'

The doctor stuffed his phone on the pocket of his gown and asked her, "Are you alright? How do you feel? Is there any pain somewhere?"

"uhm, I feel okay--" she was cut off by her thought, she asked herself where did that bloody small voice came from, it was like a voice of a child!

"does your head hurt?" asked the doctor

"mmm, a little"

"alright, that's normal." he said,

"Do you know me?" he asked

Her brows furrowed with that question, how could she possibly know this doctor, she thought and replied by saying "No"

"Do you remember your name?" he asked

"Yes" she replied "It's --- Sam, Samantha"

A confused look appeared on the face of the doctor as he checked her chart. However, she suddenly felt nervous, as if she did something wrong.

"Do you know how old are you?" the doctor asked

'26' she wanted to reply but the word "No" came out of her mouth

The doctor then re-checked her chart before looking at her again, "Okay, I'll see you in a bit, I'll do some rounds for a while, just wait for your parents, yes?"

"mmm" she said and the doctor went out of her room.

She then observed her body, she got small hands, fingers, arms, feet, legs and body --- in a nutshell, she became small!

'Bloody hell! What is happening here?!!!' she screamed internally and her mind started to run a thousand miles per hour.

She then gasped, "O my god! Did I became like detective Conan where my body suddenly shrinked? O my god! O my god! O my god! Did they administered some type of new drug to save my life?" she mumbled "well that's far fetched off but -- what could be the reason?... ARGH! THIS IS BLOODY ILLOGICAL!"

She continued thinking of the possible reason why she suddenly became a child. Logically speaking there wasn't really an answer to her dilemma. What she was experiencing doesn't makes sense, no one would believe that her body would suddenly shrink and she would become a child AGAIN. She was deep in thought, she was in that state for almost 20 minutes when she heard her door open. She turned her head into the door's direction and what she saw was a beautiful man and a woman probably in their mid-twenties.

The woman was crying, " My dear, You're finally awake" she said as she approached her. This made her confused, she honestly don't know who these two people are. As she observe these people, she saw concern and love in their eyes, the man has even a light gentle smile on his face.

Her eyes were in panic, she doesn't know how to handle the situation but she wanted to clarify it so she started to talk, "uhm, showwy but---who wai you?" asked she

The two froze, shocked were written on their face and after a second, the woman broke in tears. "No, this can't be, Ari, it's me your mum. Don't you remember? Me--" she said pointing her hand to herself "your mummy and he's your daddy" she continued moving her hand towards the man. I only stared at the two people trying to digest the circumstance.

The scene calmed down when the doctor came and explained the situation. He explained to them that the girl have an amnesia but overall her health seems to be stable. He stated that she needed to undergo some set of test to just be sure that there is nothing wrong with her body and then she could be discharged. The doctor then went out of the room and left the three of them inside.

The woman smiled at me gently, her eyes were red because she cried but her face showed gentleness and love. "Hello darling" she greeted her

The girl looked at her with reserve, "Hi" she greeted had back

The three had a conversation, the woman introduced herself as 'Evelina Gray's and she introduced the man as 'Arthur Gray'. They then went on about the topic of 'Samantha' the name she had given to the doctor. The physician informed them about their conversation and he think that Samantha might be the last person she was thinking of or is closes to her heart.

"Art, do you know someone named Samantha?" The woman asked her husband

The man pondered, "No, not in the present"

The woman thought for a while " Oh, do you mean our junior in Westwood Hill University?" she asked which her husband responded by nodding, "Yeah, but it's impossible for her to know that 'Sam' we haven't even saw her for ages less introducing them go each other"

"My love, who's Samantha?" the woman asked

Sam reluctantly answered, "Isn't that---Me?"

"No, Sam's not your name" The man replied

The girl cocked her head to the side and asked, "Then, what ish my name?"

"Your name is Evianna Gray and your middle name of Aristelle" the woman replied

Silence covered the room after that, the girl just stared at them in silence while the two gazed upon her. The moment of silence was broken by the man.

"That's enough, let's not rush and let our baby rest"

The woman nodded, "I think you're right" she started then she looked at her daughter and smiled, "Rest well baby, I'll be here with you" she continued as she pecked her on her cheek.

"I'll be back baby, daddy just have some work to finish" he said as he also gave a peck in her forehead and then bid goodbye go his wife, giving her a kiss before going out of the room.

The woman tucked her in and then sat beside the bed of the girl. As soon as her eyes closed, her brain started to run harder, she just got a lot of information from her 'parent'.

She started a monologue on her head.

'alright, let's calm down. Think about it Sam, your body suddenly shrunk and you got a new identity and a new parent. Considering the accident that I had, a frightening accident, there is a big chance that I will die, or I died.'

'I died.'

'No Way... '

'I died? '

'impossible--i mean it's possible that I died because I'm a human, considering the trauma that my head had, that's very possible but what's IMPOSSIBLE is THIS! THIS SITUATION' she cried internally but a gasp came after.

'no way! Is what I'm thinking true? O my god, no way'

'I died but then I'm alive, wasn't this --- reincarnation? No way!'

The girl, now called Ari had fallen asleep while still processing what had happened to her.
