5 Chapter 3: A hungry dragon

A golden glare shines upon in the middle of the cursed dark forest, then an earthquake occurred and rapidly shook the ground. and this strange natural phenomenon greatly alarmed the nearest human fortress.

But they were too afraid to take a single step inside the territory of the fallen demon king, even though hundreds of years have passed already.

Because dangerous monsters were still lurking around in every corner of the forest, waiting to prey on anything and anyone at any moment's notice.

So they ignored the earthquakes.

Meanwhile, in the middle of the forest.

'Why have things become like this?' The red dragon asked himself, afraid of speaking words that might shake the ground again.

instead, he swings his long and sharp tail, destroying the wall behind him but he didn't care since it feels nice to swing it for no reason in particular.

'That lady told me that I died and I can live again but why did I become a huge dragon?'

He notices the change in his body when he tried to picture himself with such characteristics. He had a tail a dragon's beak, horn, claws, and multiple sharp fangs. He thought he became a huge lizard but there was no lizard other than a dragon that has wings as huge as his.

then later, his huge stomach made a grumbling sound.

'What am I supposed to do? I'm hungry'

It has been over half an hour ever since he was reborn in another creature's body, an unexpected predicament.

As he slowly stood up, he talks by himself inside his head, 'Where am I going to get some food?'

his golden gaze passes by every wrecked debris and walls. but he sure won't find some food to eat, or not.

There was a basket on the ground, full of fresh fruits inside. 'W-Woah'

He stared in awe, asking himself if it was alright to eat it. But he had no other choice he was hungry.

'Thanks for the food'

Who would put neatly picked food in such a place, it's dangerous here no matter how you look at it.

He nitpicked one of the fruits which were foreign in his eyes, with one of his claws, slowly and carefully. so that he wouldn't destroy the cute basket with red bloody ribbons on the holder.

He threw the green fruit into his huge mouth, but for him who has such a big mouth now, that small amount of fruit wasn't enough to satisfy his hunger.

so he ate more of the fruit but his hunger meter didn't even go down a single percent.

Now, what should he do?

The red dragon then decided to crawl out from the seemingly destroyed castle, it was huge. but for him who was also big, it didn't take him long to get out there.

he chose the easiest ways to get out and that is, walking through the walls. His current body was now strong enough to pass (destroy) by walls and the castle is in shambles as it already is, so why should he be careful now?

He yawned, but it didn't cause an earthquake this time but a slight disturbance in the air. his other eye teared up from the yawning, I mean, he just woke up, you know.

And as soon as he stepped out from the destroyed castle, he stood in awe as he stared at the magnificent flawless sky.

He has never seen a sky as clear as this before. the sky of the world he lived in before was polluted and there was so much chemical gas mixed in the air but the smell he smells right now.

was fresh,

he took a deep breath and slowly formed a smile on his face.

his gaze soon turn down towards the horizon it was vast and trees of different kinds were gathered everywhere. Huge mountains from afar and different kinds of birds were flying around.

'I never thought that after death, I would find a world as amazing as this place.

just like how to be imagined a fantasy world.

But that thought soon disappears as soon as his eyes laid on some huge monster bones on the sides of the castle, below the destroyed gates.

'N-nani?'

'There really was a battle that happened here before. But I think it happened many years ago considering the state of the bones, there was no flesh or anything, just bones'

He peeks once more but was, disturbed by the view.

'I guess this world also had a bad side in it too, huh?' his eyes narrowed by the disturbing scene.

The red dragon soon arrived in the nearest river. The gaps between the trees were wide so he had no trouble fitting his huge body into and easily sweep inside the forest towards the smell of River

His eyes are full of doubts as he intensely stared with calm eyes on the river.

It was clean and wasn't polluted as he thought, considering the dark state of the forest that screams 'curses' no matter where you look at it.

'Ahem, anyways'

'Let's catch some fish'

He skilfully catches some fishes in one swing. But little did the red dragon knew that the fishes he thought he could finally eat, aren't as big as he expected. It was smaller than his claw but was the same size as his former body's arms.

However, since he catches dozens at once it would be a waste to not eat them, though their appearance was quite peculiar in the eyes.

'Why are they purple?'

It was as if the fishes were full of poisons as he once read in a book. Since purple somehow indicates that a certain something is a poison or poisoned.

he shook his head, convincing himself that the fishes weren't poisoned but it was just the natural color of the fishes in this world.

he's even red in color so what's the harm?

'There's a red dragon and that's me, so a purple fish is not abnormal right?'

contemplating over it, the red dragon decided to just eat it at once.

and thankfully, he didn't have indigestion nor felt anything wrong in his body.

He drank the fresh water in the river and had a satisfying look. His golden orbs were shining as well, but that's not all, his next dinner was running towards him.

It has been a while since he ate some meat anyway.

-If it slowly decreases his hunger will slowly calm down until he's not hungry anymore but when it rises it means that he's hungry.
