1 Chapter 1

As Scarlet regained consciousness, she suffered from a splitting headache as memories came flooding in her brain. She pried open her eyes and found herself lying in a courtyard that looked abandoned, she knew this was where the original owner of this body lived before she took her own life. She also remembered her own death, she was a 24 year old doctor who literally spent all her life studying just to be killed by a patient's relative. As she was reminiscing her past life she heard footsteps coming her way, she saw a young and an older woman with her servants, who she recognized right away, one was the second sister of this body and the other one was her father's wife.

"I thought you said that my daughter's punching bag killed herself, she seems quite alive to me." my stepmother said as she questioned the servant

"I..I..I don't know what happened, I am sure she was dead when I came early. Please forgive me madam!" the servant exclaimed as she kneeled

"Isn't it obvious mother, this slut can't even kill herself right, maybe there really is nothing she can do. But even so, that is no excuse. You, little sister, will have to be punished for daring to harm yourself without permission while knowing full well you are my property. Servants! Strip her and lock her up on the storeroom of her backyard after whipping her, remember to not kill her and no food." ordered my stepsister while laughing after pointing my way

As Scar was seeing this absurd scene, it almost seemed to be from a drama. If she didn't see it herself she would never believe a daughter of one of the kingdoms ministers was treated this way. But seeing the servants coming her way to carry out the order, she would be a fool to stay there, unfortunately as she tried to stand up she couldn't. Fuck!! It looks like the poison this idiot girl took is still in her body, she cursed as she was dragged to the storeroom...

After a few hours Scarlet woke up, she laid on the floor as she felt the cold and the pain in her back. Ok Scar, first let's conserve energy and reorganize this body's memories of this world, there has to be something useful in them.

This body belonged to a 17 year old girl called Veronica, her mother was an orphan that died at childbirth and her father was a minister of the Fallmoon kingdom, unfortunately for her she was only one of his many daughters. In this world where the strong are respected, they can have as many wifes or husbands as they are able to, at least there is no gender discrimination here, as they only see a person's ability. Veronica for some unknown reason cannot cultivate, so the only way for her to rise would be through acquiring knowledge so she could try to master something worth respect, but of course her father's wifes wouldn't let that happen, and he could care less for a daughter that couldn't cultivate and maybe not master anything, after all he was one of the top personnel of the kingdom. So she grew up to be someone whose sole purpose was to be the punching bag of her siblings and stepmothers, she was the way for them to vent their anger and amuse themselves.

After going through what she had I can't blame her for killing herself, hell, I would have done it much sooner. At least I hope she found peace now and that her next life won't be so tragic. Anyway, I certainly won't continue living my life here, since she is already dead revenge won't even matter as she won't be here to enjoy it, but karma will get them sooner or later. It will also be to tiring and annoying to live with nobles and their customs, especially since they all know this body and I can't cultivate yet, to have to do all those face-slapping like in novels will take forever and it is not worth it, I want to enjoy life to its fullest in this second chance of mine, without such bothers and harrassment. Though I think I will give that second sister a little gift for what she did earlier, and it could count as revenge for this poor girl since she was one of her main torturers.

There is literally everything in here, well I guess it could be considered a second home to Veronica, as she was locked in here so many times she started bringing things here. Scar grabbed some clothes and waited for those two servant girls to come, everytime Veronica was locked here they would take turns and show up to harass her, they probably got some satisfaction from being able to do what they want with a noble's daughter, even if she wasn't treated as one.

Although those servants can cultivate, their realm aren't high, and since their guard would be down I will be able to knock them out, despite being in another world the human body is the same, as well as it's weak points. Behind the ear there is a big bundle of nerves, you can even feel them with your hands, by applying pressure an inch and a half behind the bottom of either one of our ears you can feel pain, so a single punch there and the person will faint.

Scar heard the door being unlocked....

As she stared at the servant girl lying unconsciousness on the floor she began stripping her. She punched her a few more times to make sure the girl will stay unconsciousness for a few days, put on her clothes, tied her hair like hers and left.

She went back to her courtyard and took the five types of poison hidden there, they are non-lethal usually used for torture, though when used together it seems to cause circulatory shock killing the person if not treated right away. How do I know this? Because that's how this body died. It seems she collected some of the poisons that were used on her throughout the years by her siblings.

For once I am glad that she is neglected, the only ones that know my face are my family and their close servants, well who would bother remembering someone who has no power in the house. So the guards won't recognize me and I will be able to pass as a servant to escape. Well, first I went to the servant's quarters to get some food and the money that the girl I knocked out accumulated. I put some of the poisons on some pins, sticked them on my second sister's clothes, I know she won't die from it but the pain she will suffer is enough for me. I left through the backdoor gate of the house.

I paid for transportation to the next town, that is a half day away.

OBS: I didn't really go into details with the family, neither with what happened to the original owner of the body, because that will be too much filler since the story's focus won't be them neither in the capital. But if they appear later on I will introduce them with detail.

The female lead was a doctor from the 21st century, who practiced both modern medicine and traditional chinese medicine.
