Ch 5

The hand that reached out to the air glowed with resplendence golden light, as though the sun had descended in his palm.

The color of his qi was unique and it came from his God Eye, sharing the same color.

The qi condensed into an orb radiating immense power. It gradually transforms into a sharp spear. If one looked closely, they could see that every strand of qi that made up the spear was rotating rapidly, distorting the air surrounding it.

According to some scholars in the cultivator world, such degree of control is only theoretically possible. They could control the form of the qi as a whole using visualization, but trying to control every strand that made it up is even more difficult than trying to write two different sentences using both hands simultaneously.

At the moment, the spear was completely formed. After sensing the power emanating from the body of the spear, Adel realized that he was in trouble. The spear shook crazily as though it was trying to wrestle from his grasp. Having no other choices, he hurled the golden spear towards the blue sky.

The spear rose up without being hindered by gravity, leaving a trail wind disturbance before it disappeared from sight. If there was an explosion, it would have been lost in the glare of the sun.

The white clouds gradually opened up, creating a giant hollow in the sky. There was no explosion and everything was peaceful.

The disciples and elders in the sect noticed this phenomenon and stayed outside their cave to observe.

An elder staying at the other side of the sect, meditating on a tall cliff, saw the weird clouds from a distance.

"Is this an auspicious sign?" He voiced out softly.

Outside the Grand Dragon planet, a large chunk of stone freely wanders the great void, a man-made hut was build upon its surface. All of the sudden, a radiant object streaked pass it with such speed that it caused distortions in its tracks. The object collided with another asteroid and unleashed a soundless explosion. The light seemed like a small star viewed from a distance.

A middle aged man with messy appearance hastily walked out from the hut and goggled at the explosion for quite a while.

He made hand gestures and the asteroid changed direction and headed to the site of explosion.

'What the in the world is that thing?'

On the planet, Adel collected the Dew Mint Herbs and acted like nothing happened. When he returned to the sect, he was surprise to see disciples crowding the path looking towards the sky.

"Did an immortal descended on Grand Dragon?"

"No, that's just a natural phenomenon, there is no need to fret about it."

"Such a trivial matter could amaze you easily, you have not seen senior disciples streaking across the sky and creating trails of cloud behind."

Such murmurs could be heard from them. Adel went through the cloud and entered the Task Allocation area and met with the senior sister receptionist.

"I've finished the task."

"Good job, now you have a head start among all other new disciples, you need to maintain your lead. Lend me your Identification Slip."

Adel obediently gave the jade slip and the receptionist transferred the credits points into it.

Adel left the Task Allocation hall and directly headed to the market. The senior disciples have set a stall and exchanged materials with their fellow disciples. Being scammed was rare as the identification slip have the prices of common materials listed on it. As for the rare ones, they were sold at the auction.

Adel looked around and did not find what he was looking for. Some materials were indeed precious and would have been his first choice if he was a normal cultivator, but he doesn't need them.

His nose caught whiff of a nice fragrance. He turned his head towards a stall managed by a veiled person. The person's entire body was covered in black, from head to toe, as though he or she wasn't bothered by the scorching sun.

"A stack of this Dirt Cleansing herb." Adel said.

"I only sell in bulk." The person said in a hoarse voice.

A bulk, that roughly mean about ten stacks. "Deal."

"What are you using that herb for? I am curious as you are the first new disciple who has obtained credits so far."

"For recreation." Adel said with a straight face.

The seller froze and could only stare as Adel strut away.

"Damn, brats nowadays are so undisciplined!" The person spoke again but the voice was soft and feminine.

Adel did not return to his cave abode but resumed searching for the ingredients of the Cleansing Pill. By the time the sky begins to darken, he had already gathered nearly all the necessary ingredients, and all that remained of his credits was negligible. Cleansing Pill was just a low level pill, the ingredients are quite common, but he had to search the entire street for them, and there just one ingredient missing. He saw them on sell but his credits weren't enough, even though he sold the excess materials he bought.

He still did not return to the cave. He waited until an elder showed up and bellowed at the top of his lungs.

"All newly accepted disciples! Gather at the sect square now!" His voice echoed throughout and was accompanied by messenger doves. The new disciples immediately rushed out from their caves like bees and instantly, the plaza was crowded.

"You have all been chosen from different regions in the Jinha Province, you are all talented, I give you that. However, staying here in the sect requires more than that. Tomorrow, the Martial Arts Archive will open and your first official lecture will start. Now here's your next objective, reach Foundation Stage in a month, and if you fail, you are to go back to where you come from and live your lives like the commoners you are.

I know that you are more than capable of achieving it, you have the talent, now let's see if you have the determination. Remember, cultivation isn't just about the innate, if you do not put effort, even a good plant will wither away."

Having said what needs to be said, the elder waved his sleeves and left the crowd of confused disciples with large and confident strides. All of the sudden, he leaped and disappeared beyond the cliffs on the mountain. All the children were amazed by this sight. Their worship of immortals and the desire to become one was growing stronger.
