Ch 10

"I have reached the Foundation realm?"

The first stage of cultivation was the Nourishment realm, it's purpose was to familiarize the body to the presence of Qi. The second stage would be the Foundation, it's purpose is to make the body stronger, to make it become a suitable vessel to hold the boundless power of nature.

After just one round of training, his cultivation flew forth and immediately reached the early stage of Foundation.

As he wallowed in his accomplishment, his God Eyes activated and saw through the distant future.

He was in a dark room and the floor was wet with with blood. There were bars obstructing the entrance and heavy chains were tied to his limbs, pinning him to the cold wall.

Adel remained calm and attempted to probe further. He want to have at least a clue as to how this situation came to be. He could tell that he was in a dungeon. He focused his senses to the maximum and caught some grunts and beastly roars echoing in the corridors.

A figure walked pass his cell. It was huge and walked in a crook manner. It's limbs grew long and sharp claws and a pair of large fang protruded out of its mouth. There were dozens of eyes across its face and they simultaneously shifted and scoured the surroundings. One of the eyes glared at him, it was blood red and full of murderous intent. The eye maintained its stare until the beast walked out of the view.

The vision ended and Adel found himself back into his cave.

He shrugged and thought to himself. 'It doesn't seem to be happening soon, I still have some time to procrastinate. Though I wonder how I ended up in such miserable state.'

Adel wasn't that bothered over the future, whether that future concerned him or not. He was merely curious and that's it. If he knew how to prevent it, then he would try, but if it's too troublesome to deal with, he wouldn't fuss over it.

If he fret over every little thing his eyes had shown him, he would have gone insane.

It was currently dark outside and he had done whatever he is suppose to do today so he rewarded himself with rest.

Day arrived and the new disciples gathered at the lecture hall. This time, they were taught normal things, geography, arithmetic, culture and the major forces in their Jinha province.

This was also the first time Adel heard of their region's name. Listening further, he realized that the names of other states are named after creatures; Black Turtle, Azure Dragon etc. Even the planet was named Grand Dragon. Jinha Province was a small part of the Black Turtle.

Adel begun suspecting whether there was some powerful figure who arranged it this way.

After the lecture, the disciples were free to roam around. Compared to the busy modern world, life here was more carefree, and Adel found it very comfortable.

As for his cultivation, he did not even bother to mention it. It has only been a few days after all, no one would believe that he has already stepped into the Foundation stage.

He went to the Pharmacy to fetch his orders. The receptionist was still the lethargic guy who instantly remembered Adel. Nevertheless, he still asked for the identification slip. After verifying it, he stood up and brought a bottle containing five transparent pills.

"I want a dosage suitable for an infant, is it possible to transform one of the pills?" Adel asked.

"How many months old?"

"One."

Despite how he appeared, the man was quite capable. He opened the bottle lid, one of the pills flew out and hovered in the air. Adel reckoned that the man must have used telekinesis, his Circulation art must be of a high grade.

The man took the pill and walked to the room at the back. After a while, the man handed over another bottle which contains a small amount of transparent liquid. The clear liquid vividly reflects light and would sometimes show a dozens of colors.

"I threw the rest. This one is for the infant, the pills are for 3 years above. It could be consumed by adults, all of them should be consumed orally. That's an additional 10CP." Said the man.

"Many thanks, senior brother." Adel was not stingy and immediately transferred the remaining Cp to the pharmacist.

Adel held the two bottles, one containing 4 pills, and a liquid contained in the other. He walked pass the diligent disciples who were still struggling to gather Qi. The disciples have also gotten used to him roaming around. They were kids and they don't dare to wander about alone, they look towards Adel with admiration.

Other kids from the other village were also familiar with this small boy who was always idling around. Aside from when the instructor demonstrated the Qi gathering techniques, not once did they see him practice.

"Hah, kid, this age is the best age to practice martial arts. Don't waste this opportunity." Jian Chen who saw Adel kindly advised him.

"I shall remember it martial brother."

"Hmmm." Jian Chen continued his training.

Adel noticed the the timid girl who has the Superior Spiritual roots. Strangely, the girl was also staring at him and as soon as their eyes met, the girl quickly averted her eyes and became so focused in meditation.

'Their progress should be faster than normal.'

According to the instructor, once they properly refined a sufficient amount of Qi in their dantian, they could then notify him so that they could choose a circulation technique in the Martial Art Hall.

So far, none of the kids have filled up their dantian yet. Gathering Qi was easy, yet refining it so that it could be considered their own takes time. Their goal was to enter the Foundation stage in a month, the earlier they can begin their Circulation, the better. Most of them were excited at the

prospect of obtaining super powers.

Adel had no urgent needs and so he just acted as though he was actually practicing.

Sooner or later, he would need to answer for his cultivation. At least on the surface, he need to put some effort even if it's meager, otherwise, everyone would be surprise if they suddenly learned that he reached the Foundation stage by just idling around.

After finishing a set of exercise and a brief meditation, Adel stood up and went back into his cave.

Seeing this, Jian Chen's brows twitched. "This lazy kid...why did he even join an immortal sect anyway? Damn, he didn't even take my advice seriously."

The girl looked over. Her name is Bao Mei and came from the same village as Jian Chen and Fang Ru.

Seeing that Fang Ru has left, she breathed out and her stiff shoulders gradually relaxed. She put her hand on her chest, her heart was still beating rapidly.

She turned around and saw Jian Chen staring at her with a somewhat compassionate and merciful gaze.

Jian Chen spoke while shaking his head. "Ai, the beauty of youth, spring has arrived."

Bao Mei hid her face but her ears were red.

Adel reached his cave abode and sat down on the rough bed. He held the jade slip containing the rules and regulations of the sect and started browsing. He had to find a legitimate way to return to the secular world and hand over the medicine to his family. Otherwise, his pitiful sister would die.

Just to be safe, he examined the medicines with God Eyes. The cleansing pills presents a dense yellow color in his eyes, the Qi that it contains was vigorous. Adel turned to the potion and saw that it was dim compared to the pills. There were other colors present which implies impurities, but this was within the acceptable range.

Adel took one of the pill and popped it to his mouth. The pill took effect immediately. A warm feeling rose up from his gut and spread all over his body. He felt air build up in his chest and so he let them out through his mouth. His breath was clear, because he had just been cleansed by the golden haze.

He took it in order to test its effectiveness and see if there were any harmful effects. Fortunately, there was none.

"I'll deal with the bandits while I'm at it."

Tomorrow, he would visit his family.
