Chapter 4

Once the bell rang to tell that homeroom ended, all of the students stood up from their seat, tucked their chairs in and walked to their next lesson.

After everyone leaves, the only ones remaining are me, Hamin and obviously the teacher of this class, Mafuyu. Hamin walks over to me.

Hamin: "Hello, I'm Hamin Park, I'll be showing you around the school and helping you.." She says with an expressionless face

"Nice to meet you" We look at each other, and awkwardly stay silent for a few seconds, before I start a new conversation

"So, do we start the tour now?" She replies with a nod and we head out of the class.

-An hour Later-

Hamin: "And that's the whole school" While showing me around the school, to not make things even more awkward, I tried my best to start multiple conversations with her, which went surprisingly well, and now we're friends.

"Awesome. So, you wanna play Sword Art Online after school?" Since we both enjoy gaming, and from what I remember from the manhwa, she's actually a very good gamer, AND since we've become friends, I decided to ask her this.

Hamin: "Sure, hold up, let me give you my Number, I'll text you my Gamer ID through text" She pulls out her phone and I do the same, she becomes quite surprised when seeing my phone, the latest version of the iphone, which costs about £2500. But she quickly forgets about me and tells me her number.

"Alright, thanks, I'll message you after school, I'm going to go to class, see ya" I then wave her off and go to my 2nd lesson, since we got to miss the 1st lesson due to her showing me her around, which luckily for me, I missed maths.

-Break-

Jin Mori: "Rey, you good?" He asks me concerningly, while I eat my crisps depressingly.

"Yeah..." I eat the final crisp and stand up to put it in the bin, I come back to my seat and sit down.

Lelouch: "You sure? You look quite... depressed?"

"I'm fine it's just... School, I hate it"

Lelouch and Mori look at each other, and then back at me, they start laughing at me and start saying stuff like: "Wow, you're this depressed because of school?" and "HAHAHA You look like a kid who just got banned from sweets from his mum for a month", and many other things.

"So, Mori, you like fighting right?" Now, this question piques his interest.

Jin Mori: "That's right! I haven't lost a single fight since I was born, other than me being completely defeated by my grandpa, but that doesn't count!"

"Then, how about, me and you, behind the school tomorrow after school, have a little spar" 'I want to see how much [Street Fighting Level 18] actually does..'

Lelouch: "I can watch right?" To which I nod to, I then look at Mori and he replies with, "Sure, I'll fight you", and right at that moment, the bell goes, and 3rd lesson begins.

-In 4th Lesson, English-

Teacher: "Alright class! Get in to pairs, you're going to be working together to create your piece of work today. You'll be creating a big A2 mindmap all about Shakespeare"

Student: "Booooo"

Student 2: "Why are we learning about some guy from the Elizabethan era when we're in the 21st century currently"

'God damn it, I forgot about this guy. The guy who speaks a whole 'lotta waffle(Gibberish)'

All the students get up reluctantly and get in to their pairs, whether it's friend pairs, random pairs, whatever. I just sit down though and wait until someone comes over to me, or until the teacher tells someone to work with me, even in the past, I've never liked these 'pairs' project's, I'd prefer if the teacher just assigned the groups herself.

Eventually, someone comes over to me as expected.

??: "Hi there, is this seat taken?" A feminine voice says, I look up to her and recognise her.

"No, it's not" She then pulls the chair out, sits on it and tucks herself in, she then puts her hand out.

??: "My name's Marin Kitagawa, I can work with you right?"

"Of course, but don't you have, like, any friends you can work with?" In the anime/manga, she was quite popular, so surely she should have other people to work with.

Marin: "I have friends, but unfortunately they're not in most of my classes."

"I see, well then, it's nice to meet you Marin, the name's Rey, Rey Takami" I then finally put my hand to hers, and we carry on our assignment.

-End of English-

Marin: "HAHAHAHA"

She's been laughing for the past few minutes, I don't get why, I don't really consider myself the "Funny" type, so I don't know why she's laughing.

Marin: "Haha, sorry. But seriously? You want to fight Mori?"

'You're telling me this is why she was laughing? Women sometimes..'

"Yeah? How'd you know Mori anyway?"

Marin: "Well, other than being like, the strongest person in our year and possibly the school, he's also one of my best friends since childhood"

'Hold up, wait a minute, something ain't right'

"But didn't Mori come from Korea? Until he flew to Japan a few years ago?"

Marin: "Yep"

"Then how do you know Mori from childhood?"

Marin: "When he was about, 5 or 6 years old maybe, him and his grandpa flew to Japan once for a holiday or something, and at that time we met at a park. We became friends, kept in contact thanks to our parents/guardians, and yeah"

"Cool, well I'm gonna go to lunch now." I quickly take out a piece of paper and write a few numbers on it before handing it to Marin

"Here's my number, see you" I then walk off.

-After School-

The bell rings, meaning the first day of school is done. I leave the school building and head home peacefully, with some music playing in my earphones.

I arrive at home, take my bag off and head to my room to play some games.

I log on to my PC and click on the game: "Sword Art Online". Fortunately or unfortunately, I don't really know, Sword Art Online, the previously VR game in my old world, has become just a normal RPG game on pc. But that doesn't mean it's not popular at all, in fact, just like the manga/anime/light novel, SAO is actually one of the biggest games in Japan currently, and the full game only came out a few days ago.

Fortunately for me, I recently, yesterday to be exact, got a (Legendary) Gaming PC, and it runs SAO REALLY well, I get like, 600 FPS, without an fps unlocker, it honestly kind of hurts my eyes since I'm not use to such good fps.

I brought the game yesterday right after I got the gaming PC, and only logged on to customise my character, so I haven't even played the game yet technically.

Before I press "PLAY GAME", my phone dings, and then shortly after, it pings again, and then another time.

[018********: Hey, this is Marin, thx for the number]

[039********: This is Hamin, my gamer tag in SAO is Hamin, don't judge my name, I couldn't be bothered coming up with a proper, "cool" one]

[039********: Message me when you're ready to play]

I quickly go into my contacts and save their numbers and change their names to their actual names.

[Rey->Hamin: Don't worry about it, my gamertags the same as urs, I'll send u a FQ(A/N Friend Request) in a few minutes, I've just logged on]

[Rey->Marin: Np]

I put my phone down, plug in my headset to my PC, put it on, and start playing SAO.

I then go on to the Friends GUI and type in Hamin's gamertag, sending her a FQ.

[SAO: Hamin has accepted your friend request]

I then form a party real quick and add her to it. She then joins and we start talking.

Hamin: "Wow, guess we're both similar in the naming department" Since I also made my gamertag just my normal name, Rey.

"Guess you're right, what level are you?" Although we're in a party, I can see my level chilling on the bottom right of where my HP and Stamina bar is, but I can't see Hamin's.

Hamin: "Oh right, forgot, I turned off [Show Level in Party] in the settings right after I joined the game, I'm also level 1" She then turns on [Show Level in Party] and as she said, she's level 1.

"So, how about we do some grinding? First one to level 5 wins?"

Hamin: "Sure, but what does the winner get?"

"Oh~? We're betting now I see.. well then, what do you want to bet on?"

Hamin: "Loser buys the winner their lunch tomorrow at lunch and break?"

"Booooooring, I already have my food prepared for tomorrow, so even when I win you won't be paying for anything"

Hamin: "Woah~ Mr. confident I see, saying WHEN instead of IF. Fine then, what do you suggest?"

"Loser has to give ALL of their drops they get from killing mobs to the winner-"

Hamin: "That's fi-"

"AND the loser has to do a dare given by the winner, but it can't be anything extreme like "Stand in front of homeroom tomorrow and take off your shirt" "

Hamin: "Hm, that's a pretty good bet. Well then... I'm off" She runs to the closest boar and kills it, getting 4 exp, barely raising her EXP bar by anything.

Hamin: "See you once you lose"
