11 Chapter 11 - Heroic Act

Himenez is gasping for air. He lost everything, his money, his lair, and most importantly his money!

Did he say money twice? Well, important things needed to be said at least a couple times.

Himenez is in the sewer right now, this is his last base. There's no highly technological stuff here, just a bunch of papers, tubes, syringe, old table and chairs.

"Sewers are the worst! Heroes most unlikely to search this place but damn it! damn it! damn it!" Himenez slammed his arms to the table.

Even though the table is old his feeble human strength failed to destroy it.

After venting his anger for a few more minutes, Himenez looked at the corner where a black small end table is located.

On top of it is a very precious serum, The Extremis Serum.

The Extremist theoretically grants the human body the ability to heal and regenerate from physical damages, deformities and even psychological damages. This also includes the regrowth of severed limbs in a very short timespan, various physical enhancements as well as an exothermic ability.

This Serum is very expensive and not out for everyone to use, it is still in the experimental stage and has a glitch on its matrix that can cause anyone who takes it to explode if their body rejects the serum.

Himenez approached the serum but hesitation is still preventing him from grabbing the thing. When he bought this he didn't expect that he would need to take this.

You see, when Joshua attacked him in the hospital Himenez lost his credibility to work there, meaning he can't take people and sell them to the black market anymore so Himenez needed to resort to drugs which also failed

His backers left him, and his remaining resources are lost in his gambling addiction.

"I-If only t-that guy didn't destroy everything! He ruined fucking everything, He will pay I swear he will feel pain for this disgrace and unfairness I received!" Himenez shouted as he grabbed the Extremis and injected himself.

"Arghhh!!!!" Almost instantly he felt unnerving pain as he could help but shout and convulsed on the ground.

The pain is so extreme that death seems more appealing now. The only thing that is keeping him alive is his rage to Joshua.

A red glow from his body is going brighter and brighter as the pain continues to soar.

Jessical Neil, Owner and Founder of Continental.

The Continental, A huge company founded by Jessica with the help of her friend Anna Miller. Using various connections and family influences Jessica aggressively expanded her business.

Though expanding this fast has a lot of consequences, she's making too many enemies but at the same time she's growing quite the powerhouse too.

Her business now involves fast food, security and technology.

With growth this fast, she is beginning to lose control around her company…or not! That is what usually is the case if not for her handpicked team with Anna as their vice.

Anna proved to be a genius in managing resources and have a very good eye for people which made Jess confident above their current status, but of course they lay low on the expansion to take care of the situation and stabilize their company.

After all they need a solid ground.

Overall, Jessica's company is doing well aside from the Continental Hotel in New York near Hell's Kitchen, that place is a blood bath with various criminals roaming around.

The Good thing is the Continental Hotel "staffs" are not really push over.

*Ring* *Ring* *Ring*

Waking up from her daydream Jessical picked up her phone and answered.

"This is Nick Fury, Director of-"

Jessica hung up. She doesn't know how that person got this number but she doesn't have time for prank calls.

Queens, 7:00 am.

Joshua is on the rooftop of some building and eating his double cheeseburger, fries, onion rings, and big diet soda.

He is very stressed and frustrated because of the failed raid on Himenez lair yesterday, Well at least it's not really a downer since he met someone whose appearance is pleasing to the eye.

'But still…I wonder what happened to her. Did she contact SHIELD?' Joshua thought as he took another bite.

Since the building is tall no one can actually notice him even though he is having lunch on the edge of the building.

After finishing his lunch Joshua uses his magic to turn the trash into ashes then pat his clothes to remove food particles.

Standing Up, Joshua's crimson eyes survey the entire area.

"Daylight bank robbery, Oh, a guy kidnapping a school girl, and a man trying to carnap a car, he's been there when I am still eating, no skill huh," Joshua lists all the crimes that he can see that are happening in broad daylight.

Joshua is actually thinking to help some of them cause he doesn't actually have anything to do, maybe he can get some good karma out of it no one knows.

Jumping from the building Joshua let himself fall until he was 1 meter from the ground then flew away at fast speed.

The people who saw him are in awe and shock that they stop at what they are doing and marvel at the man.

Seeing the van traveling at the main road like nothing happened, Joshua frowned his brows. 'This city is getting worse day by day.'

Joshua landed in front of the moving van causing the driver to have no time to react as the van collided with Joshua.

*Bam*

With a loud sound the front of the van got wrecked, various parts and debris scattered throughout the road while the driver only survived due to airbags.

Joshua is unmoved, and did not obtain a single damage.

One thing that Joshua realized when he got the power of zeus is he can now protect his clothes with magic. He can also use this invisible force to coat or protect anyone or anything he makes contact with.

In other words, SHAZAM's version of Superman's bioelectricity.

"Uh, my head," The driver said, he was in a state of shock as he got out of the vehicle. His visions are blurry causing him to walk unsteadily in the middle of the road.

In front of him he saw that one who blocked his way. A man with white hair and crimson eyes, wearing a white Uniqlo T-shirt, black pants, and flip flops that have an uncaring expression on his face.

"Are you out of your head! Why did you suddenly do that?! Are you trying to kill me kid?" Fueled by rage, the man shouted his lungs out.

His act albeit very convincing will not work on Joshua, Ignoring the barking man Joshua just bitch slapped him and got on his way.

Reaching the right side of the van, Joshua ripped it in half. Inside is a tied up girl, her face is wrapped in clothes preventing her from seeing and lessening her hearing.

Gently lifting the girl, Joshua put her on her feet and removed her restraints.

The girl opened her eyes, obviously disoriented and confused as she looked around.

She burst into tears when she saw that she was still in the middle of the road and various people were gathering because of the commotion. She is safe as she glances at the man in front of her.

One thing she knows is the man in front of her just saved her from her impending doom. Who knows what that man wanted from her.

Seeing that the problem is solved Joshua said to the civilians with a lazy expression, "Umm, She got abducted so I rescued her," Joshua then pointed at the unconscious kidnapper, "There's the bad guy, call the police for me okay?"

Leaving with a dry speech, Joshua just flew and left the scene.

Continuing his adventure the next thing Joshua did was go to the car robber.

Joshua arrived quietly without the robber noticing and waited for the man to open the car.

After so many tries the man has finally opened his dream car, he almost cried tears of joy but before he could enter it he was struck from behind and got knocked out.

Joshua delivered him to the nearest officer he saw.

Joshua didn't want to touch the bank Robbery, he can leave that problem to the police.

The inventory is self explanatory to Joshua. It's a convenient tool made of space time magic that can store anything that is not a living organism and has a size limit. Meaning he can't store buildings or something enormous.

After his heroish act Joshua decided it's time to pay SHIELD a little visit again. He might need a new phone.
