Chapter 12: A Month Spent in Brunhild

Then it sets its fierce golden eyes on Byakko and shot at it like lightning! The bey spirits clashed using their respective claws! And with a final burst of gold and silver and followed by a thundering boom,

*BOOOMMM!!!*

A massive cloud of smoke rose from the stadium. When the cloud of smoke that blocked their vision finally receded, all of them were finally able to see the conclusion of this first ever Beyblade Battle.

Byakko was still spinning, the same goes with Ouroboros. But evidently, Byakko is slowly loosing its momentum while Ouroboros is still going strong. It was clear who the winner here is.

Touya: "Well, I guess this is our loss."

Touya admitted and Ace put on a slight smirk on his face, then suddenly...

"WOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"

All of those who were watching cheered that thundered loudly that was even heard by most of the people in the Duchy!

Seeing this, Touya and Ace laughed out loud before joining them and cheered!

"YEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!"

Days after that momentous occasion, of the first ever Beyblade Battle, Ace and Touya was finally able to create a magic item that will act as a guide for the kids or anyone out there to form their "Bey Spirits", as the two likes to call them. It wouldn't help them create the spirit they want, but just help control their mana and inject it into the marble sized core, so the spirits that will come out are totally random and are based on their aptitude and personalities.

Let's say for example, if you're as hot tempered as a bull, then the Spirit that will be produced is a type of bull magic beast, if you're as playful as a monkey, as prideful as a lion, etc., it will follow as such. And no, no matter many times you try forming another bey spirit, they will all be the same for the same person, it wouldn't change.

But, changing beys, especially the cores are not really that advisable either, as Touya found out that the cores, or rather the bey spirits becomes stronger the more they are used, so it is a waste to change them. They can still change some parts to other materials though, that way the bey gets an even better boost. With this opportunity of making such a big money, Olba Strand from the Strand Company couldn't be more happier!

Because he's currently the only big merchant company in the duchy, and is also trusted by Touya, he got the privilege to become the supplier and be the one in mass producing the beys, which made the middle-aged merchant delighted to no end!

Ace: "Yo, Touya-bro... Next time, let's try our hands in replicating Gunpla Battles, or, well, Frame Gear Battles? Nah, FG Battles, sounds a lot more catchy that way~."

Touya: "Mhmmm. Let's call it FG Battles. And yes, way ahead of ya. But, I think it's best if we only make it public after two or three years, just until Beyblade Battle becomes a stable craze."

Ace: "Hmm~. Good idea!"

Touya: "Right? That way, we can make a lot of profits from it, especially from the travellers and Adventurers coming to Brunhild. Oh! And that way, we can also get a free advertisement from them too!"

Ace: "...Touya-bro. You're starting to think like a merchant now..."

Touya: "Yeah~... Wait what?"

Currently in the dining room, eating, obviously.

Leen: "So, Touya. I heard that you have caused yet another commotion when I was gone? Not to mention, words about it even reached as far as Mismede."

Touya: "What do you mean by 'caused yet another commotion'? It's as if you're saying that I cause trouble everywhere I go. And besides, what happened last month wasn't my doing alone, so shouldn't you blame that guy too?"

He said and pointed at Ace who was happily eating his breakfast.

Ace: "Oi. Don't include me in that little lovers' quarrel of yours."

Leen: "Hm? I'm not one of his lovers though?"

Ace: "You're not? Or not, yet?"

Ace retorted in a snide remark with a teasing smirk on his face.

Touya: "Okay, okay~! Stop already. Anyway, Leen. What are you doing here this time?"

Leen slightly squinted her eyes before answering.

Leen: "Hm? Am I not welcome here?"

Touya: "Hais~. You know that's not what I've meant..."

Leen: "Fufufu~. Alright, jokes aside... Well, I wasn't able to find any other clues about...that something..."

She was hesitant to say it directly when she remembers that Ace is with them inside of the hall.

Catching quick on this, Touya dismissed her worries.

Touya: "It's fine to talk about the ruins openly, no need to worry about him."

Leen: "Alright then. As I was saying, I haven't got any other clues about the Babylon ruins at all. I've already checked the archives in the Mismede. But, I did find something that might be of help. I found a list of notable and bizarre places that might be the locations of the other teleportation circles."

Touya: "I see. Well, let's look into thos places later then. But, if I might ask, where's the closest location did you find?"

Leen: "The Knight Kingdom, Lestia. More specifically, on one of the snow capped mountains near the city called Merica."

Yumina: "Wait, Lestia? Aren't from that kingdom, Ace-San?"

Ace: "Mhmm, I am."

Yumina: "I see. Then you surely have heard of this city called Merica, yes?"

Ace: "Well, yes, how could I not? It's precisely the subordinate town of this city that was almost ran over by a beast stampede the last time."

Elze: "Ooh~! And that's also the point when you got your title as Asura, isn't that right, Ace-san?"

Ace: "Yup."

Yae: "Eh~? Knight Kingdom, huh? Say, Ace-dono, are there a lot of powerful swordsmen there?! Are there?!"

She asked with stars of excitement in her eyes.

Ace: "Mhmm. Just like it's name, it's the land of the Knights, so their combat specialties are swordsmanship. Though I say that, the former kind doesn't have even a hint of a knight on his person, that old man fights like a brute."

Lu: "Eh? Then, doesn't that mean he's basically going against his kingdom's own ideals?"

Ace: "Hmm, I don't think so. Knights doesn't only fight with swords and shields after all, they are also experts on other weapons and even unarmed combat. And besides, even if it is, that old man wouldn't give a damn."

Linze: "You sound like you know the former king personally, Ace-san."

Ace: "Mm, that's because I do. He always comes to my house whenever he escapes the watchful eyes of his son. Either to Spar or just to laze around. He's pretty chill, after all."

Touya: "Hahaha~. Now I'm wondering just what you have in your house that attracts a former king that much..."

Ace: "Hm, not much, really. My house is a modern styled three storey villa with magically enforced glass walls, with a large pool, a beautiful garden with a lot of modified floras, a crystal clear lake not far from there, a genetically modified gigantic cherry blossom tree beside my veranda that gives me a magnificent shade, filled with technology and comfort like no other, an ultra clear TV the size of a wall with a lot of channels that I don't even know how it came to be, my own arcade, a very large game room with dozens of games along with a bowling alley, music room, large library, jacuzzi, and such. Yup, not much."

Touya: "Gah! You-you're just bragging now!"

Ace: "Hey now, you're the one who asked~."

Touya: "Cheh"

Yumina: "Hm~. That sounds wonderful!"

Elze: "You got that right! Say, Ace-san, can we visit your house in the future?"

She asked which the others also nodded in expectations.

Ace: "Mm, sure! You've received me in your own house hospitably, so it's just right for me to do the same, so feel free to! Oh! On that thought, Touya-bro, when are you planning to head there to confirm the location of this teleport circle?"

Touya: "Oh, I plan to do that after we finish breakfast. I don't have anything left to do here in the duchy anyway, so I'll take this chance to visit that location."

Ace: "Mhmm, that's great then. I'll come with you too, I haven't been home for a month already, and that way, you can just open a [Gate] from there and take the rest to my house."
