Prologue

"Tsubaki-chan, I'm going home now. Good luck with your student council work."

"Ryota-kun! Wait!"

Outside class 3-A, a bespectacled young woman with a beautiful figure, long straight black hair, and heterochromatic eyes ran toward a tall young man with blond hair and golden eyes.

Every other student inside the classroom looked at them curiously, wondering what kind of thing would make the normally calm person run like this.

The man turned and said to the woman while giving her a gentle smile.

"What happened, Tsubaki-chan?"

The young woman's cheek reddened a bit and said nervously.

"U-umm, you don't forget our date for this weekend, do you?"

The young man smiled and said.

"Don't worry, I will make that day the best day for you! It's one year our anniversary anyway!" said him while giving thumbs up to her.

Hearing that, the young woman blushed and hugged him.

"Thank you, Ryota-kun. Be careful on the way home.."

"Hehe, bye Tsubaki-chan. Say hello to Sona for me."

The young man hugged her back. But after a while, he felt everyone's eyes glaring at them, so he reluctantly let go of his embrace and walked towards the school gates.

Ryota Kise and Tsubaki Shinra. They were a famous couple in the Kuoh Academy because of their handsome and beautiful face, but the most important reason was because they were the only couple in the Kuoh academy at the moment, making many students especially male students envious of Ryota.

Kuoh Academy was an all-girls high school that changed to a co-ed school just one year ago.

This academy had several divisions such as the primary division, high school division and college division.

Tsubaki started studying at Kuoh Academy from the 1st year high school division with her friend, Sona.

The boys who entered the academy were mostly perverts who wanted to see the girls in bloomers, but Ryota Kise changed his school to Kuoh Academy, only to have the same school as his childhood friend, Tsubaki Shinra.

After that, Tsubaki told him all the story. After she got banished, a girl named Sona Shitori became her friend, her family adopted and took care of her. And now, she and Sona were studying in an all-girls school called Kuoh Academy.

Although Ryota was a bit sad because he couldn't go to the same school as Tsubaki, at least he still could meet her on the weekends.

Weeks after weeks, a year passed by, and Kuoh Academy became a co-ed school. Of course, Ryota was also transferring.

When he first entered the school, he instantly became famous because of his cool and indifferent attitude towards the other girls, as well as his unapproachable aura.

His junior, Yuuto Kiba also became famous for his kind personality and handsome face.

Yuuto Kiba got the nickname as The Prince of Kuoh, Ryota got the nickname as The Golden King of Kuoh.

Tsubaki who found out about this became jealous, and panicked in her mind, because she knew Ryota would become more famous in the future, so she took a more aggressive approach towards Ryota.

Ryota, of course wasn't a dense person, he knew Tsubaki actually loved him, and Ryota loved her too, so a few weeks after that, he confessed to her, and they became an official couple.

After that, their popularity grew, many boys and girls envied them, especially the so-called three perverts.

While the three perverts sometimes annoyed Ryota with their antics, Tsubaki told him to ignore them, so he could only accept that.

Ryota, who was still walking, looked at the two figures near the school's gate.

However, after he thought for a bit, he ignored them.

Ryota arrived at his house, or it could be called a mansion, because his house was so big.

He bought a vacant lot here and asked his connection to help him build the building.

A three-story house, on the first floor there was a living room, kitchen, dining room, mini bar, training room, one guest room, and laundry room. On the second floor there was five bedrooms, 1 of which was the master bedroom. And, the third floor had a family room, small kitchen, library, gym and indoor pool.

There was a garden outside the house. There was a bathroom on each floor, excluding the bathroom that was already inside every bedrooms. The house also had an underground garage, even though Ryota didn't have any vehicles yet.

"I'm home..."

"Master! Too slow! I'm tired of waiting!"

As he entered the living room, a girl with yellow eyes and pink hair wearing a long-sleeved shirt and black hot pants suddenly appeared and hugged him.

Ryota sighed.

"Tamamocchi... I already came home as soon as I can you know.."

"Hmmph! Why can't I join Master to school? I want everyone to know about our passionate love!" Tamamo said to Ryota while pouting.

Ryota felt helpless and could only answer with a wry smile.

"We can't Tamamocchi... At least not now... They still don't know our real identities. We have to wait until Mephistocchi handles this matter, then I will tell them about this."

"Aww..."

Although now her appearance looked like a normal human, she actually had cute fox ears on top of her head and tails on her butt.

Tamamo no Mae, a famous nine-tailed fox youkai, who had the blessing of a Shinto goddess, the Sun Goddess, Amaterasu. She possessed a high mastery of fox fire magic on the same level as the leader of Youkai faction, Yasaka, and also curses magic, though she didn't particularly like using curses.

She possessed a great mastery of senjutsu, the power to control the flow of life energy or ki in living beings, which was a rare technique that only Sennin and high level youkai could learn.

Combined with Amaterasu's blessing, she could use her mirror to cast divine magic, heal and restore stamina for anyone she targeted without needing to touch them, even if that person had lost a limb, something that was impossible with normal senjutsu.

She was a kind fox to Ryota and the others, but she was actually quite mean and had a wicked tongue.

Tamamo who heard Ryota's answer, felt a little depressed, even though she also knew the answer. She was tired of living in this house doing nothing and also unable to show her love for her husband in public because of their current status.

She was originally a famous fox youkai that was revived. Fortunately Amaterasu-sama was a kind goddess, so she gave Tamamo the approval to be Ryota's companion. The problem was the youkai faction, where some higher-ups didn't really like it, when a famous youkai became a servant for a mere human.

This was the reason when Ryota managed to summon Tamamo, he tried to gain recognition in magician society. And after six years of doing many missions with his partner Lavinia, he was already well-known among magicians. It just took a little while until the organization took care of this matter, especially for this girl and a certain drunkard.

"Anyway, I'm sure Sona and Gremory group already sense about my high magic power, so if I suddenly tell them I am the famous magician 'The Golden Prince', they won't be shocked that much... I guess?" said Ryota while tilting his head. The devil's group would notice him sooner or later, so he already had some preparations for this.

"What about Tsubaki, master? She doesn't know yet about our husband-wife relationship?"

This girl who had a cheerful personality somehow had a dream to become Ryota's wife.

Ryota almost choked to death hearing that. Tamamo could be really blunt sometimes.

"W-what the hell Tamamocchi! I told you we should tell Tsubaki-chan first!"

"Then tell her right now!"

"Ugh! Anyway, where are Shutencchi and Himecchi?"

Tamamo knew Ryota wanted to change the conversation, so she could only growl at him.

"Grrrr.."

"..."

"Shuten buying a sake like usual... Osakabehime locking herself again in her room..." Said Tamamo while pouting and puffing her cheeks.

"Come on, Tamamocchi... We can ask Tsubaki-chan about that later, okay?" Ryota said while patting Tamamo's head.

After all, Tamamo was his first friend and companion after Tsubaki was banned. After a while, of course, Ryota would also have feelings for this girl.

Tamamo felt her master touch on her head, nodded slightly and hugged him, and Ryota hugged her back.

When they were still hugging, suddenly they heard a voice coming from behind.

"Fufu. Tamamo... you should stop hugging sweetie in front of me... Are you trying to steal him from me?" said the woman while releasing a hint of bloodlust.

She was wearing a blue kimono, her skin was pale, and her hair was purple and short, reaching only her neck, and her bangs cut past her forehead. She had long horns on his head, though she hid them now.

Shuten Douji was a child from an evil dragon Yamato-no-Orochi and a youkai oni.

She was a great sword user, however, she was better known for her deadly poison. As a descendant of the famous poison dragon and combined with her mastery of youjutsu from her youkai blood, Shuten said her ultimate poison was almost at her father's level.

"What do you mean steal! We have agreed to share him!" said Tamamo while glaring at her.

Ignoring what they were saying, Ryota spoke to Shuten, while looking at the object in her hand.

"Shutencchi, please don't walk out without my permission... it's dangerous for you if someone recognizes you. If you want alcohol, we can ask an organization, you know?" Ryota said with a bit of worry.

"Fufu, I'm sorry, okay? After all, your magician organization was very slow to respond to my requests, so I had no choice." Shuten giggled and covered her mouth with her right hand.

'What do you mean slow... Last week you asked for 50 litres of red wine and it was gone in just five days...'

Shuten's hobby was drinking wine, so this woman would sometimes go outside sneakily to buy drinks whenever they were free from missions.

Luckily, he was Gilgamesh's descendant, and he got a lot of rewards after doing jobs in supernatural worlds, so money was never a problem for him.

All of his relatives had died sometime before he met Tsubaki, so he got Gilgamesh's heritage when he was a child. While his parents were normal humans with no sacred gear, he unlocked his sacred gear after Tsubaki got banished. He was lucky when suddenly an elderly woman named Gondul rescued him and introduced him to the supernatural world. She said she came to Japan to pick up an old pervert, and while searching for him, Gondul saw Ryota was being attacked. At that time, he knew there were many enemies who liked to brutally kill the weaklings like him back then. That was when he decided that he had to become at least strong enough so he could enjoy his life.

Ryota once again ignored what Shuten had just said and turned around, trying to leave them.

"I want to play with Himecchi. Call me later when dinner is ready okay?"

"Yes, Master! I will prepare the best homemade dish for you!" said Tamamo happily.

"I will help you then. I'm bored anyway..." said Shuten while following Tamamo, walking to the kitchen.

Ryota opened the door in front of him and shouted.

"Himecchi! Let's play Smash Bros again! Today I will beat... Your room is dirty again! Oi!" he said while looking at the pile of trash in the room.

He looked around the room.

The room looked like a shipwreck.

Lots of video game CDs on the floor.

Lots of clothes to cosplay in bed.

Lots of trash.

He felt dizzy when he looked into this room.

"Ah! Ryo-chan! Please help me buy this limited action figure! I've searched five online stores and it's sold out! Uwaaaaa!" a girl suddenly clinging and shaking Ryota's shoulder.

Osakabehime, a bespectacled young girl with black hair and a low twin-tail style. Her beauty should be on the same level as Tamamo and Shuten, too bad she was a famous hikikomori.

At the first glance, she appeared to be a neat and tidy, beautiful girl. However, she actually had a self-deprecating personality and a gloomy nature, and people thought her as an annoying girl. She also liked role playing as a princess which Ryota found very cute. And worst of all, she liked to use his money and credit cards to shop as she pleased.

She was also a fox youkai, but because a certain fox was more famous than her, Osakabehime became jealous of her and tried to change her appearance in order to become famous too. As a result she often wore clothes with a bat design on top of her head. At least, Ryota had never seen her fox ears until now.

The positive thing about this girl was back then, when he summoned her, the youkai faction didn't really care about her, unlike when she summoned Tamamo or Shuten.

Apparently, the Youkai faction also thought of her as an annoying youkai.

However, despite all of that, she was really great at using her unique magic, origami magic. She could use that magic to spy the enemy, or also used it to attack or defending herself. Ryota thought this magic was really versatile, because sometimes whenever Osakabehime was too lazy to move, she could use her origami to became her maid.

Her ultimate magic had almost the same principle as Evil Pieces, though it was the other way around. She could increase all of his allies' defensive bodies in the area she considered his territory. At least with her full power, normal high-class devil attacks couldn't make a scratch.

This girl also could control bats, although Ryota never saw Osakabehime use them for anything but as pets.

"Alright then, let's bet like always! If I lose, I will buy whatever you want, If I win, you clean this dirty room!" said Ryota with his confident aura.

"Hehehehe, Ryo-chan, you make a mistake... Hime-chan never loses at any game! By the way, I prefer to be called Hime-chan rather than Himecchi!" Osakabehime replied with the same confident aura.

As they were playing, Ryota thought something that had never occurred to his mind before.

To summoning Tamamo, Shuten and Osakabehime, he used his original magic summon 'heroes'.

His original magic was to transfer their souls inside the Realm of the Dead and Third Heaven into bodies he created to match the being he summoned at the same time they were summoned.

And because Ryota used all of his strength to perform this magic, including his soul, their souls would be linked and connected with his soul, so if Ryota somehow died, Tamamo, Shuten, and Osakabehime would also die.

Their bodies that were created by Ryota didn't really need to sleep or eat, as they could lived with only a small amount of magic power that Ryota transferred from that link.

Well, except Osakabehime, because she was still slept every day, except when she wanted to do a speed run to finish a game quickly.

He thought of this original magic, after he learned the principle of summoning magic. Normally, summoning magic was a form of teleportation magic, where the user could summon a supernatural being that he had already formed or wanted to form a pact with.

But his original magic, summon 'heroes', was a different kind of summoning.

It was actually a magic combination between summoning magic and lost magic to create a new body, with the addition of some other magic.

He didn't summon the body of the being he summoned, but rather he summoned their soul from the Third Heaven and Realm of the Dead, and instead of forming a pact based on an agreement between the two parties, he forced the being he summoned to form a pact with him. Even that couldn't be counted as an agreement, because he only made a one side pact where the being he summoned would help him with something that he needed that time, and Ryota didn't have to pay for that being.

He summoned Tamamo with her mirror, Shuten with her sake gourd, and Osakabehime with her violet ribbon.

Basically, he used the item to summon them forcibly, made a pact with him and then transferred their souls to the new bodies he created.

He found these items inside the Gate of Babylon, perhaps his predecessors kept these as commemorative items, or maybe they thought the items worn or used by famous people in the past could be counted as a treasure.

Of course, he also had some precautions, in case the person he summoned got angry because they had a bad temper or didn't want to help him.

He incorporated a bit of element from slave magic into his original magic, so the being he summoned couldn't hurt or injure Ryota if they had malicious intent, so even though Shuten could sometimes make his lips bleed when she bit him, it was because she had no intention of harming Ryota.

He didn't know the real personality of the person he was summoning so he could only do this.

History never wrote about the personalities of famous people in detail, only about their achievements that made them famous.

He didn't have much connection back then, and he couldn't ask anyone about the being he wanted to summon.

Another thing was, when he did this summoning magic, he would become extremely tired, so he needed someone to protect him in case something went wrong.

That day, when he summoned Tamamo, Shuten, or Osakabehime, Mephisto Pheles and his caretaker, Gondul was near him inside a sealed and locked room. They prepared to kill the being he summoned if somehow that person wouldn't help him and ran away.

After all, if somehow Shuten got angry, she could do a lot of damage to one faction before she died.

Fortunately, all of them didn't react too much. In fact, they were happy because they had another chance to live.

Tamamo was happy because she had found her husband-to-be.

Shuten was happy because she could drink alcohol and the one who summoned her was a handsome boy.

Osakabehime was happy because she could play any games as much as possible.

Even though all their reasons were really weird, Ryota was always grateful for the three of them.

If one referred to them as his servants or even his slaves, he actually agreed with this, as they had no opinion on how the pact was formed.

However, they didn't seem to care about this.

That's why he named his magic as 'summon heroes', instead of 'summon servant' because he thought of them as his heroes who would help him even since that day.

Also, after he used his magic three times, the Heaven faction and the Realm of the Dead side became hostile towards Ryota.

Usually, a normal soul would go to the Third Heaven, but after Shuten died, due to her background as an evil dragon child and her poison that could potentially kill gods, Hades and the other Gods considered her as a dangerous person, and her soul got imprisoned inside the Cocytus in the Realm of the Dead.

The sudden loss of Tamamo, Shuten and Osakabehime souls in their respective places made the Seraphs and Hades regard Ryota's original magic as a forbidden type of magic, so if Ryota wanted to use that magic again, he needed permission from both Heaven and the realm of the dead side.

At least, Ryota didn't become an enemy of the Heaven faction or Hades after he made a deal with them.

Another thing that confused Ryota was...

'Why are every 'heroes' I summoned so weird... I called Tamamo to help me with the housework, Shuten to help me with the assassin who tried to kill me, and Osakabehime to help me spy on the enemy... But their personalities are really weird. Is this the curse of Gilgamesh's descendants? Not to mention I also have a special fetish for smart girls or girls with glasses, almost the same as Gilgamesh's fetish with his strange obsession with Artoria...'

His internal dialogue was interrupted when he suddenly heard an excited voice.

"Yay! Hime-chan won again! As promised, you have to buy this limited action figure for me! Ahh, please help me clean the room too!" Osakabehime said with a smug on her face.

"Whaa..." Ryota could only reply with a shocked face while looking at the perfect loss on the screen.

'Well, at least my life becomes interesting because of them..." thought Ryota with a slight smile on his face.
