Just not fated.

The world of Fanatasia where magic and monsters existed. Humanity was on the bottom of the food chain until the existence of mana was discovered.

By utilising mana one would be able to control the elements of the world a phenomenon commonly known as magic.

Learning to use magic enabled humanity to gain a footing on the continent establishing places where humanity would be safe from the danger against monsters.

This was a world where many numerous epic legends were birthed.

But this is not a story about a young man aspiring to become the strongest swordsman neither it is about a transmigated young man who dreams to have numerous beauties at his side nor its about a man who finds himself in this world in the body of a slime...

This is about a well-known young man who seeks to reconcile with his wife.

...

In the small town of Barbara.

A young man was nervously standing in front of the door with a bouquet of flowers in his hands. Judging from the way he looked and dressed he seemed to be well-off.

This man has been there since morning wasnt he? He couldn't have been standing there all day, right?

Everyone was surprised how earnest he was. Everyone felt the girl living there was really lucky. But something felt off. If he was there since morning why haven't he entered yet? Everyone wondered why but didn't think too much of it since it neither concerned them in anyway.

Christian has been standing here for a few hours now. Despite that he still hasn't steeled himself to even knock on the door. And whenever he hear someone nearing the door he would immidiately hide like a mouse hiding from a cat.

To hell with it!, Christian decided to just entrust everything to a God he didn't believe. Using his pent up courage since this morning which could ammount to close having none at all. He finally knocked.

Knock* knock*

Soon the wooden door was slowly opened behind it was a kid. A small cute girl with little chubby cheeks. .

"Aiya? Who's this Brother?" said the little girl as she sized him up from top to toe with suspicious eyes.

She just looks like her! I don't recall her having any younger sister, Christian panic at the thought but his brain wasn't for nothing. Deep regret filled his heart almost even causingg him to suicide on the spot. "Haha! You think she would wait for you all this time? How stupid could you be! As seconds passed negative thoughts negative thoughts filled his mind.

He didn't have the will to stay there anymore.

" Mom! There's this weird brother at the door! "

A young woman walked over beside the little girl. Now standing side to side they did bore resmblance to each other. Despite the haggard look on her she could be counted as a beauty and no doupt the girl would grow to be more beautiful once she grows up.

"Where?"

"Ehh?! He was just right there!"

----------

Inside a bar Christian was drinking away his sorrows. He couldn't bear to meet her not after all the things he has done to her. Thinking that things would be the same as before was a childish thought.

I mean after all leaving her for something like "for the sake of the world" is pretty darn selfish. Leaving her with that stupid reason is the stupidest thing I've ever done!

"Boss! A devil's cup please!"

So for tonight he was going to drink 'till his death. Maybe they weren' t just not fated.
