-Several Minutes Earlier-

*Bam! Bam! Pow!*

Amidst the billowing haze, a fierce battle unfolded between two individuals. One was having the time of their life, while the other was steadily losing their calm.

"You're really getting on my nerves." Clint groaned. He had been fighting the strange green-haired woman for the past several minutes, and regrettably, he was losing.

His arms and legs were so battered and bruised that it took sheer willpower to continue fighting.

'She must be mutant...'

The only reason he hadn't totally lost yet was because the woman was toying with him like a plaything.

"That's quite unfortunate," She sneered, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

"However, it appears that I must cut this short. Perhaps w—"

*Swish*

While Clint possessed a deep knowledge of close combat, his true expertise lay in the art of archery. Seizing an opportunity, in one quick and fluid motion, he drew an explosive arrow from his quiver and let it loose from his bow with deadly precision.

"We'll isn't that rude."

*Boom!*

The arrow detonated with a thunderous blast, propelling the woman forcefully through the air, hurtling backward until eventually...

*Bam!...Crack!*

She collided with something solid.

It was a car, a black Jetta, to be exact.

"Oh, well, I got where I needed to be."

With a nonchalant shrug, she acknowledged her successful arrival at the intended destination.

'So that's what the captain looks like...' From the corner of her eye, she caught sight of a certain blond-haired man blatantly ogling her rear end.

Curiously, a wave of exhilaration washed over her as she craved more of his attention.

However, she swiftly reminded herself of the task at hand, pushing aside the tempting allure.

'Computer...get ready to beam up along with the captain.' She thought, focusing her gaze back on her opponent, who was surprised the arrow did nothing but superficial damage.

("Pinpointing your location... Locked on....Charging the transporter.") A familiar voice answered inside of her head.

"It's been fun, arrow guy, but I have to go see ya~." With a mischievous smirk, she waved a dismissive farewell to the brown-haired man.

The encounter had provided a brief amusement, but now it was time for her to continue on her way.

("Transporter ready.")

Hearing the woman's remark alarmed Clint, however, as he drew another arrow...

'Now!'

*Ziiiinn*

They were gone along with the car.

"Teleportation?!" He exclaimed in shock. He looked around just to make sure, but they were utterly and thoroughly gone.

'Damn... But what about the sh—'

In a sudden rush of recollection, Clint caught a fleeting glimpse of the golden ship before it vanished into the vastness of space.

The vessel emitted an ethereal glow as if illuminated by fluorescent lights before disappearing in a brilliant flash.

"Fury isn't going to like this...and just when I was going to ask for a vacation." He sighed, shaking his head.

"I think I'm still gonna take one."

:Marvel Universe:

Things just kept getting weirder and weirder.

Emil started to wonder if this was going to be his life now.

It probably was...

Moments after a woman collided with the car, he, along with Gwen and Lambert, found themselves in what appeared to be a vast hangar, surrounded by an array of intriguing machines.

It looked like something straight out of a science fiction movie. He could even see what looked like mechanical droids diligently performing diagnostics on the various machines in a uniform manner.

'So cool...'

However, before he could get a better look at everything, the green-haired woman attempted to open the door.

*Click*

But they were unsuccessful as it was locked.

All of a sudden, he felt like his decision to lock the door earlier was a smart move.

Unfortunately, this didn't last long as the woman just pulled harder, forcing the door open and breaking the lock in the process.

"Grr...." Lambert started to growl, readying himself to pounce on the woman if she made any sudden moves on his master.

"Sorry about that, Captain. I'll get the mechanic droids to fix everything."

Fortunately, it seemed like she came in peace.

"Fix?"

"Captain?"

Both Gwen and Emil honed in on different words that came out of the woman's mouth for obvious reasons.

"The car can be fixed?!" Emil exclaimed.

"Of course." A smile graced the green-haired woman's face as she nodded.

After hearing her confirmation, he couldn't help but pump his fist.

"That's what you're worried about? Not that she's calling you captain? What's wrong with you?" Gwen asked while giving him an odd stare.

Emil shook his head, "No, I definitely heard that part, but this is a rental! This obviously is more important!"

"Oh."

It was at this moment that she started to take a bit more notice of him. Initially, she thought he was just a normal man moving to NYC, but clearly, she was wrong.

'Perhaps it wasn't an accident that I met him...but why?' Gwen wanted to think about it more, but she was more worried about getting back home.

"If you wish, I could show you around, captain, while they fix the car?" The green-haired woman suggested.

"Yeah, actually, I would like that," Emil replied, stepping out of the vehicle. Once he was out, he took a moment to absorb the surroundings and couldn't help but grin.

He was on a starship...no HIS starship.

Could one imagine how someone like him would feel in this situation?

He was ecstatic.

Someone could insult him right now, and he'd only reply, "But I have a starship."

Regardless, before he could get lost in the sense of wonder, he addressed the elephant in the room.

"Are we safe?" He asked.

"Of course." The woman answered. "Currently, we are in space just a few light years away from the planet called Earth."

"Lightyears?!"

"We are in space?! I didn't feel anything."

Once again, both Emil and Gwen focused on different things; however, this time, she wasn't to let it go.

"Do you have any idea how far away one that is?!"

"Honestly? No, I don't. I just know that it's pretty far away."

"Oh my god," Gwen groaned, massaging her temples in frustration. "Why are you not worried about this?"

"I sort of lost my innocence...so to speak. WAIT! NOT LIKE THAT!" Emil shouted, flailing his arms. He didn't realize what he had said until after it left his mouth.

"Ok...." After that comment, Gwen made the conscious thought to stay a bit away from him.
