Betty stepped on the brake suddenly when someone from the black car fire shot at her tyre making her shiver to the core. She has noticed someone following her for sometime now but she ignore it until she was fired at just now.

The road is quiet with no one in sight, she has made appointment to meet with someone in the desolate road. The road lead to suburb with little or less people ploughing the road.

She panicked and packed at the side she wanted to open the door and ran for her life but suddenly the car following her wanted to run into her making her heart caught in her throat but as God will have it another car came out of no where and gave the black car a chase making her sigh in relieve .

She opened the door with a trembling hands and body and started to run for her life into the forest. She hid behind the tree to look at what is going on , she part her chest to calm her racing heart.

She wanted to call the person the person she wanted to meet but she notice she did not picked her phone from the car. She has run for sometime compound with her fright just now, she felt all her energy depreciate and slowly she lean unto the tree and slowly drift to sleep.

Betty jumped up from her sleep and noticed she was not in her room , she look round the unfamiliar room and check her body for any injury or anything she sigh in relief when she noticed nothing but her anxiety increase when she remembered what happened to her day before. The thought of her been kidnapped make her breath haggard and make her step instead as she moved towards the door.

Before her hand reach the knob the door was opened for outside making her jumped in fright. " Hey lady! how are you? " Asked the man that just entered . Betty noticed he look nice and sound less suspicious making her masked her fear with a fake nonchalant reply. " Am fine as you can see . by the way what am I doing here? and who are you? what do you want from me? "

" Hey! Hey!! easy little cat! why are you throwing me questions like a fired machine gun. !?"

" Really!??" She snort at him before she crossed her hand on her chest standing with confidence that the man mean no harm. " You know I can call a cop on you for kidnapping and attempted murderer right? ". She said making the man eyes bulged like a saucer.

" what are you talking about? Is this the attitude you show to someone that saved you from death risking my life In the middle of nowhere? do you think you are that beautiful or precious to have you kidnapped? You can call the cop all you want and don't forget I was the one that saved you before' he ' killed you . " The man said stressing the word 'HE' before he storm out of the room .

Betty stand I. the middle of the room with a wide eye when she heard ' I was the one that saved you before he killed you. ' " What does he mean by that? Who is He that want to kill me? why did he want to kill me? " She asked a different question with no one to answer her before she came back to her senses the room door has been closed .

She looked at the closed door and shook her head, she knows she was rude just now but she can not help it. She was just trying to put her guard up. " May be I should have asked nicely instead of accusing him? I don't even say thank you for his help . " She stood up and went out of the room only to noticed it is a hotel. She find her way to the front desk . She described the man and she was directed to the room next to hers.

With a trembling hand she knocked the door, when the man open the door she swallow her saliva at the cold eyes that looked at her as if to penetrate her soul. " Yes ? what do you want? "

" Am sorry for the way I talked to you. ....."

" Is that all? apology accepted . " saying that he closed the door on her face without letting her finish her sentence.

With determination this time she raised her hand and knocked the door again.

" I don't know what you want and why you derive a great pleasure in disturbing my peace lady or you have call the cops already to have me arrested for kidnapping? . " The man snapped at her immediately he opened the door.

" Am sorry to disturb you I just want to say thank you for saving me and care for me all night. I hope to repay your kindness somehow. " She said in one breathe .

" Is that all?

" Thank you and I want to ask what do you mean by ' He want to have me killed! ' " She asked as gently as possible not to provoke him again.

" You can go ask husband of yours for the answer . excuse me. " The man close the door on her face but she just stood their at daze not trying to digest or process what he meant by that. She knocked again at his door to find answer but he just ignore her until other guest come out to warn her. She return to her room running her hand on her hair in frustration. She quickly pack up her her belongings and check out of the hotel in search for answer. She went to the parking lot since she was told her car was there, she sat in the driver seat in a daze and drove out of the small town back to her home with troubled heart.

She can not believe BOB can be so wicked to do anything to her may be the man just want to sow discord in their relationship. But she shake her head when she recollect that their relationship has already be broken only a tiny thread was just holding it.
