11 Unexpected Surprise

"Ryan?!?!"

Right in front of me was my ex, Ryan.

"Hey Spen-." Before he could finish his sentence, I try to shut the door in his face, but he blocks it from closing with his foot.

"What the hell do you want? Why are you here," I ask him, angry now.

"I came to talk. You just got up and left without saying goodbye."

"Oh, shut the fuck up! Don't act like your innocent! Why did you even bother coming here?!?"

"Spence, you know you can't run from me and my charm. I'm sorry for what happened. Let's just move on and get back together. I know what I did was wrong and I'm sorry."

"Are you fucked up in the head? Being held back and repeating your senior year isn't exactly charm." We hear shuffling coming from behind me and I turn to see Chester coming up to us.

"Baby, who's this," Ryan has the nerves to ask.

"I'm not your fucking baby! Leave me the hell alone and go back to where you came from! Go back to your girlfriend. Maybe you can even tell Lynn I say hey. " I push him out the door.

"Oh, I get it. Your with him. I guess it runs in the family. I always knew you were a slut." Right after that comes out of his mouth, he brags me by the chin and lifts my head up.

"Is that a fucking hickey?" I feel a sharp pain run through me because of the way he yanked my head up. It felt like his hand was crushing my neck now, but it only lasts for a second because Chester comes up and punches Ryan.

I fall to the floor trying to catch my breath and the boys keep fighting. Ryan gets on top of Chester and starts punching his face in. I get off the floor and run over to them.

"GET OFF OF HIM, RYAN," I scream out, trying to pull him off. His elbow swings back and hits me in the guts, knocking the breath out of me.

Someone else comes out of nowhere and yanks Ryan off of Chester. When I looked up it was Max. He picked him up and stood him on his feet. Ryan was caught off guard.

Max was holding Ryan by the front of his shirt now. Ryan realized what was happening now and shoved Max's hands off of him. Ryan just laughed at the situation.

"You get around fast, Spence. I see you learned a couple of things from your brother. I do know one thing though. I know you haven't had sex with them yet because if you had, they wouldn't be fighting for you. Once they have, they'll realize you aren't that good. Your useless. You know I'm the only one that's capable of tolerating you. Once you realize that, you'll be begging me to come back."

"Nice try. Why don't you go back to the land of the dicks and sleep with someone else's best friend," I tell him.

With that, he walked away to his motorcycle and sped off. I bend over with my hands on my knees to catch my breath. Max helps Chester off the ground.

When I finally stand back up, there's a guy with a pizza in his hands.

"Pizza delivery," he says with some uncertainty. I just say thank you and take the box of pizza and wings. Chester already paid for it with his debit card over the phone.

I lead Max and Chester into my house and Max sits Chester onto the couch. I go in the kitchen and grab the first aid kit.

When I go back into the living room, I sit next to Chester on the couch. He tries to take the first aid kit out of my hand, but I smack his hand away.

"What was that for, man hands?!?"

"Shut up and let me do it," I say back to Chester. I start wiping the blood off his face with a wet wipe.

"Are you ok, Spence," Max asks me.

"Yeah, I'm good. Thanks for the help guys."

"I'm glad your happy. My face is all fucked up," Chester said, wincing away, when the rubbing alcohol touched the cut on his cheek.

"It's not that bad, you cry baby. You don't even need stitches. The cuts aren't that deep," I tell him.

"So, I'm guessing that was your ex. You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to though," Max says.

"It's fine. Yeah, that was Satan."

"Why did you date such a jerk," Chester questions.

"He's very good at manipulating and he took advantage of my innocence when my brother moved here. You never really know a person." My face was turning red from the memories and smoke felt like it would come out of my ears next.

Chester and Max gave each other a side glance, but I was too focused on my anger to try and tell what it meant.

I finish cleaning up Chester and bandaging him up. I go to stand up and wince when I feel pain coming from my stomach. Max goes to lift up my shirt to see my stomach and I try to swat his hand away, but he didn't budge.

"Spencer, that's a bad bruise," Chester points out the obvious. I look down to see that the skin on my stomach was red, but in time it'll turn purple.

"Guys, I'm fine. It doesn't even hurt that much."

"Bullshit. At least take a painkiller and rub something on your stomach," Chester chimes in. I just sigh and walk off to the kitchen.

"If you guys are hungry, I suggest you grab your food now before it's all gone." That gets them up and moving.
