Dakotas POV:

"Come on Dakota, we're about to leave!" Mom yells at me. So I'm standing in my room trying to figure out what swimsuit to bring on vacation to this beach down in Florida. Having cousins and other family members down there, we will be staying at their house which is located on the beach. We leave in the middle of March.

"Give me a few minutes!". I yell down to her even though I have my bags all packed. So after finally finding a swimsuit I liked, I went a 2 piece. The top is black with white stripes and the bottoms are all black and high waisted.

As I grab my swimsuit and head to my family who's waiting in the livingroom for me. "Sorry about that, I couldn't find a swimsuit." I say and place the one I have out in my travel bag. "Are you sure you all have everything you need?" Mom asks. I nod and show her my bags before we leave. Locking up the house and heading for the car, mom smiles at us. "What? Mom why are you smile at us?" I ask her as we get in the car. "I'm just happy that we are all together." And off to Florida we go.

After hours of hours of driving, mom finally gets us to a hotel for the night. "Let's go in, might as well stay here until the morning." She says. Getting our bags from the car and into the hotel room, we finally relax. So I take the time to call my friend Liz who lives in Florida. "Hey, so we are almost there, just another couple hours if not more... this trip takes forever, but at least it's summer." I say and she smiles. "Yea, oh girl I got stuff to tell you when you get here." She grins at me and I give her a look. "Why do I get the feeling that I already know what it is.?" I question and she laughs. "Well... you're not wrong. There's this guy who lives next door to me named Dmitri. He just moved down here a few months ago. And as of which, he's been looking for a girlfriend for a very long time, so I told him about you." She says and watches my eyes go wide. "Wait...you told him about me?" I ask with a smile. "Yea, he even called you cute." She says and smiles big. "I can't believe you." I say and shake my head while she laughs at me. "Oh come on, you'll like him, he's super sweet and cute.!" She says to me proudly and then sends me a pictures of him.

"Oh wow, well isn't he beautiful." I say and she nods. "Yea a real sweetheart. His family is extremely nice too. I can't wait for you to meet them." She says, then tells me she's gonna go to bed. "Alright, I will see you when I get there." I say and we say our goodbyes before going to bed.

The next morning we are back on the road again. I start to fall asleep in the car and I eventually doze off. Hours past and mom is shaking me to wake up, telling me that we made it. "Come on, bring your bags inside, I will help." She says and I get out of the car. "Dakota!" I hear a voice yell, so I turn around and see Liz running over to me with a boy running behind her.

"Hey!" I say to Liz and give her a hug. "I'm so glad you're here." She says excited and then lets me go so she can introduce me to Dmitri.

"You must be Dmitri, Hi I'm Dakota, nice to meet you." I say and hold out my hand infront of him. He shakes it before speaking, "Yes, I'm Dmitri, thanks to Lizzy here, I heard a lot about you." He says with a smile.

"Oh yay. Thanks Liz." I tell her and give her a shove playfully. "You love me." She says helps me with my bags into the house. "Thanks for the help." I say with a smile. "Of course. So if you don't mind me asking, are you moving here or?" Dmitri asks as he sits on the bed in the room I'm staying in. "No, me and my family are here on vacation for the summer, so since our cousins and other family members own this pent house, we have it all to ourselves." I let him know easy.

"That's good to know. That means we get to hang out." He smiles at me. "Yea, I'd like that." I say and we leave the room and go outside. "Should we go get something to eat? I don't have much money, but I can see what I can do." I tell them as we walk along the beach and onto the boardwalk. "Yea, we should. I think I have like 20$ if not less." Says Dmitri who pulls out his wallet.

"What about you Liz? Got any money or do we need to walk back to your dads?" I ask her and she shakes her head, "Nah it's fine, I have money on me." She says. "Alright lets go get pizza, I haven't had that for a long time." I tell them, so I message mom and let her know what I'm doing. I'm glad she doesn't mind it.

So me, Liz, and Dmitri all take a trip down the pizza place "Pulleys Pizzaeria". We head inside and wait in line. "Dakota? Is that you?" A voice says and I turn to face the person who said my name. It's Brooke....

As she comes over, I try to focus my attention on Dmitri and Liz.

"Hey, I hope you remember me. We used to go to Saint Charles together, but you moved." She tells me. "Yea, hey Brooke, nice to see you again." I say and we start talking for awhile before getting our pizza and leaving.

After that's over, Brooke and her friends walk back to the beach with us. "So I see you've meet my brother Dmitri, Dakota." Brooke says and I stop walking. "Wait...he's your brother?" I ask shocked and they all stop to look at me.

"Yea, his last name is Hunter and so is mine, I thought you knew about me having a brother?" She says. "Well yea, but you've never really mentioned his name or anything, just said that you have a brother who's moving to Florida soon." I tell her and we start walking again. "Oh, well then yes, Dmitri is my brother. I'm sorry I didn't tell you that before." Brooke says as we come onto the boardwalk that leads to the beach.

We all find a place to sit and start talking about school and our past. I look over at Dmitri and smile, he seems so nice but I never knew he was related to Brooke....me and Brooke had our fights all the time back in middle school, but that was then and now highschool is another story. He looks at me with a small smile before Brooke taps him on the shoulder telling that they have to leave because their mom wants them home. Right before they leave, Dmitri hands me a piece of paper with his name and number on it, saying "call me" with a winky face.

"Whatcha got there?" Liz says and I hand over the paper. "Ouuu. He gave you his number, you should call him." She says looking over it and then passing it back to me. "Maybe, but on the bright side, I got to meet him because of you." I say to her and she smiles. "Come on. Lets head back to the house, your moms probably wondering where you're at." Says Liz. We grab our food and head back to the house. Who knew meeting him would lead to me getting his number. That's something I couldn't stop smiling about.

Alright you all, here's the first chapter! Ah! I might get into writing more books like this if anyone would like.

I am trying to my hardest to write really good stories for you all, I know mine may not be the best, but I try and I'm happy for what I write.

I will start posting all my stories out randomly now since thats what everyone seems to be doing which is good. Lol
