Lina Inverse and the Philosopher's Stone

Teenage sorcery genius and bandit killer Lina Inverse learns of a legendary artifact of unsurpassed magical power: the Philosopher's Stone, said to be able to grant immortality. What's more, it's being held by a Dark Lord of Monsters, the sinister Vrakul, who plans to use it to build an army of immortal warriors to annihilate the realm of men. All the better for Lina, who is accustomed to taking from the wicked to enrich herself! Slayers! fanfic. Introduces some original characters, settings, spells, etc. but intended to be true to the tone and characterizations from the original series (especially the anime). All feedback is appreciated! Note: When I was coming up with this, I forgot that the Philosopher's Stone is already a thing in Slayers (it appears in the first half of the first season of the anime), so the one Lina's after here is a different item by the same name. Also, there were only four Dark Lords in the original (and none were named 'Vrakul'), so I guess the cosmology is a little different as well! Not a Harry Potter crossover :p
