65 Secrets Of The Mansion

"Who... Who the hell are you? What are you doing in my house? Gua...", the old man tried to scream, but I stopped him. "No point calling for guards that don't exist anymore. Let's have a chat downstairs, shall we?", I said before dragging him down. What I saw at the bottom was appalling. "You are as disgusting as I imagined. People have loads of different interests, some like to make figurines, others like to cultivate a garden. Yours has to be the most disgusting and revolting hobby of them all", I said. "Hobby? This is my... Argh!", I punched him before he could finish.

There were loads of jars with body parts in them, all lined up neatly atop some shelves. A large bloodied table stood in the corner of the room. Atop it was a dead and smelling furry deer, probably the same one they caught not that long ago. The most disgusting was a large glass sphere in the middle of the room. Something was inside, and it seemed alive. The murky liquid allowed it to float in the middle, but I had a feeling that wasn't water. "You bastard, what do you want? How did you find me?", he asked. "You see, fate is kind of weird, isn't it? You send people after me, and they led me straight to you. Sometimes greed can play tricks on you", I replied, before slamming him to the ground. "Ugh!... Alright! I made a mistake! They paid with their lives, and I can give you some money for your troubles. Let's leave it at that, and go our own separate ways, alright?", he proposed.

"How about you tell me more?", I asked instead. "Are you interested in my...? Ungh!", I kicked him before he could finish. "Answer my questions, instead of asking", I replied. "... Cough... As if a simpleton could fathom my gen... Argh!", I kicked him again, "I said answer my questions". "Cough... bastard... You want to know? Fine, let me tell you about my genius. See this large glass sphere? The creature inside was created by me. I created a new creature! I am the master of life!", he exclaimed.

"You call that disgusting disfigurement a creature?", I asked. "Disgusting? What do you know? Beauty lies in life, not outer appearances! When my creation is completed, it will be better, stronger and more intelligent than you simple Humans! My creation will inherit all the best abilities of all those creatures. It will become invincible! HAHAHA", he argued back with a crazy laugh at the end. "Yea, somehow I don't see that happening", I replied.

"Let's have a deal! Don't kill me, and I will give you something special", the old man said suddenly. "What would that something special be?", I asked. "This creature is my genius. That doesn't mean this is my only creation. I can give you a special concoction of mine. It will make your senses better, much sharper than any other Human could have!", he replied. "Is that how the woman upstairs could smell me?", I asked. "Yes, precisely! She drank this medicine, and her sense of smell developed beyond that of a normal Human. Moreover, I perfected the recepture", he said with a nod.

"That's very interesting and all, but I don't really need that concoction of yours. You see, Humans can learn and develop. There's a lot of potential we hide within ourselves. Using such things to get stronger, will not be comparable to someone who spent days, months and years on developing their own body. Hence, your road ends here... Swoosh", I said before slicing his neck right through. The old man died in his own pool of blood, blood that wasn't completely red.

"Looks like you drank some of that 'medicine' of yours as well... What a crazy bastard", I said while taking one more look around the place. 'Genius my ass', I thought, but decided to go through his notes and books. Most of them were on animals, and how he removed certain parts. He also had a few notes about Humans. 'Well, why am I even surprised? Though this might be useful to me', I thought then read the notes.

'Interesting. The notes explain a few useful things, I didn't know before', I thought after reading them. Moreover, there were loads of drawings of Human 'parts', together with methods of extracting them with no or minimal damage. "This can be useful. It's kind of similar to what Nick told me, though he never showed me such drawings. I could even reattach a limb with those details. Of course, he used it for a different reason", I said to myself while hiding the notes in my bag. There were loads more notes concerning other creatures, especially the furry deer. He seemed obsessed about them, which was reflected in the abomination inside the glass sphere.

The closer I looked, the more furry deer parts I noticed. There were two hind legs, the horns and even eyes. When I looked into those eyes, the feeling of uneasiness enveloped me. They were alive, that much was certain. All the glass jars contained some sort of body part. Eyes, legs, arms and other sorts of things. "I had enough of that place. Let's get some tinder to burn this place down", I said before leaving the basement.

A few chairs, bed sheets and other assorted items later, we were ready to burn this place down. I started the fire further down inside the room, then backed up. 'I'm not leaving that large sphere intact. I don't want that abomination to survive somehow', I thought before stepping back onto the stairs. "Swosh.. Shatter", my dagger pierced right through the glass sphere, releasing all that murky water outside. "SCREEEE", a sudden and loud screeching noise came from within the glass sphere. "ARGH... Shut the fuck up!", I exclaimed while throwing a few daggers at it. The screeching and the creature inside stopped.

"The fuck was that...?", I asked myself, with my ears still ringing. The creature didn't move, but I threw a few more daggers just to make sure. 'Nothing... Good, I prefer it that way', I thought and made another fire. All the furniture caught fire, and soon the whole place was burning fiercely. "Let's get out of here", I said before leaving the basement. No one inside the village was aware what just occurred, but they would find out without a doubt. I didn't need the attention, even if these people deserved to die. I quickly left the mansion, then jumped over the wooden wall.

"Good news is, no one will harm those animals anymore. They might still be hunted, but that is the way of nature. Let's go visit our little furry friends. I'm sure they will be happy with such news", I said, then let Shelly down. "Mah!", Shelly exclaimed and followed me.
