Dungeon: Cave of Forgotten Past 2

[Congratulations in completing 'Peek a Boo' mission and gaining access to the dungeon 'Cave of Forgotten Past' you earned 5000 DP.]

Marcus looked at the new mission and accepted it as it did not even have a penalty despite being a high-rank mission. He then stood up and looked around as he saw a tall door in front of that had an angel and a fallen angel in the left and right with the angel on the right with that side having gold and white color and the Fallen angel on the left with black and silver.

Marcus pushed open the doors as he arrives at an area that look just like a cave. When he entered he saw white skeletons littered across the cave with there being over 1000 of them in the cave. The level of each skeleton was at 110 with each holding a mortal weapon.

The skeletons all turn in unison looking at Marcus as he came in. As Marcus cane in the door slam shut right behind him as each of them start screaming as they saw him raising their weapons in the air as they all charged at him. Marcus took both his long sword and dagger as he rushed at them killing them within a second.

After killing them he gain only a few exp and DP along with 1,000 DP from the mission as he traveled to the end of the area with a flight of stairs leading down. He went down the stairs and arrived at the 2nd floor. Like the 1st floor it was littered with skeletons except this time the skeletons were somewhat darker as the others were pure white as these were ivory colored.

There were more skeletons with it being around 2000 with them being between 115-120. Marcus mowed them down as he arrived at the next floor with the skeletons being darker with higher levels 120-125 and around 3000.

This continued in till the fifth floor where Marcus met dark black skeletons that were between 135-139. He quickly defeated them as he arrived at the end of the hall where a black and gold skeleton stood in front of a door similar to the one he open when he came in.

The skeleton was at level 140. It looks like a normal skeleton except it had a Black suited armor with the skull having shape edges around the jaw line along with the eye sockets eye shape instead of the usual sphere shape. It had one wing and 2 bones sticking out of each of his arms looking like shape curved daggers.

The skeleton was in dead center of the door with a great sword in front of it. The skeleton had both of its hands on the great sword that was imbedded in the ground with a pose saying 'you shall not pass'. Marcus appraised it he found out it was called gate guardian as it prevented people from going to the next level. These gates are guarded by guardians and each gate leads to another area with a different species of monster that is at the next realm.

The guardians are at the next realm however they are stronger than other monsters at the same level with some almost being as strong as the peak of their realm. The skeleton in the middle was strong as a mid-stage Mortal Sovereign stage. Marcus took a step forward as the Skelton moved as the eye socket seemed like they open as red light appeared in both eye sockets.

The Skelton grabbed its sword as it charged at Marcus. It arrived in front of Marcus as it slashed at Marcus's head but he deflected it. The skeleton was about to prepare for another attack as Marcus chopped off its head with ease saying that 'Well that was anti-climatic as he stepped forward and push open the gate as stairs appeared before him leading him to the next floor.
