11 Chapter 11 Volundr's Nightmare

2016 at a certain bank in New York, a man in his mid 40s is working. He is a good employee. Come early, go home late, very few day off. He believed his hard work will paid off. He is a dutiful employee.

He served in army. He believed it is his sacred duty to protect his country. While he was in the army, he met a girl during a vacation. They hit off. After dating 6 months, he married her. ( very bad decision my boy, never marry after dating 6 months or you are in military, you too readers. )

He was too young to start a family at the time. He was only 21 years old when he married. After 2 years in marriage, they got their first child. It was a girl. He was very happy about being father. When their child was 2 years old, another child was born. It is a boy this time. He also get out of military after his contract expired. He got a job in a bank. He tried to provide his family with everything he could get.

He got another child. This time it is a girl. He was having a happy family or so he thought. The eldest girl got into an accident. She was needing blood donation. Blood test came out. The child was B group. He was A and his wife is O. No way, his child was a B. There is only one posibility. She cheated on him.

After the child was discharged from hospital, he secretly did DNA test to all of his three children. He was waiting anxiously about the result. Two weeks later, the test result was mail to him. Only his youngest child was his, the older two are not. He was devastated after knowing this. He began his exit plan.

However, he lost everything to her during divorce, His house, his car, everything. And he even had to pay mortgage for the house he didn't even live anymore. He lost custody for his blood related child. Even worse, he had to pay alimony and child support for the older children that are not even his.

F the goverment and justice system, he thought. He almost became homeless because of this divorce. Never the less, the optimistic person as he was he recovered from his setback. He changed his job and move very far away from where he lived.

He tried to involve in his daughter life. However, as his daughter grew up, because of her mother instigation, she thought it was his fault for all this happening. When he tried to explain her, even as far as telling her that her mom cheated on dad, his daughter won't accept it. Rejection after rejection, he grew numb. He never contact or met her again.

His all focus were transfered to his job and doing good things to random people and stray dogs and cats. He fed them, give clothes to them. He tried to support people who have dream but cannot effort it. He also support at least two orphanages.

After the kids are in over 18, he has many extra money from salary. These money he made good used of it.

He lived alone. During he was not working, he read books, light novel, manga. That was his hobby. He also watched anime. He love attack on titan the most.

Any way, in 2016 there was witch hunt happening in US. He was trying to promote his rank in his bank. He was well qualify to get this promotion. Everybody knows it. However, a female reported him doing sexual assult on her.

He was called to a meeting. He thought that it was interview for his promotion. He had no idea what was waiting for him.

There was three people waiting in the meeting room, one woman and two men. He sit across them.

One of the man started to talk,

" You had been nominated to get promotion. However, we had reports on you that you did sexual harassment on a co-worker. We can't give her name. But she reported you did it. "

" No, impossible. I was not even talk to those women other than job. I don't even care about them. Why would I do that? "

" That is your story. We could no longer employ you in this bank. Sorry. "

That is how the bank fired him. His reputation in the industry was destroyed. He could not find job from other banks. He only have emergency cash for three months. He will have to figure it put soon.

No matter what, he tried to find job in other field. Nope impossible, he tried to do some part time work. Whenever his history came up, he was fired.

He asked for help from the people who he helped in the past. Those people are doing well in their life. However, no one stood up for him. He became homeless.

Finally in 2018, the woman who accused him of sexual harassment came clean. She said she lied about the accusation on multiple people. She was left free, no punishment.

For him, the damage was already been done. He could no longer work again inthe industry. His life was destroyed.

He soon starts his plan for revenge. He learned how to make bomb, human psychology, and computer skill.

After 4 years of planning and learning their behaviour, he sent to them tickets for mini concert.

This is special concert where only a few people with those tickets can enter.

He sent to his ex wife, the woman , the judge when he was divorcing and the three firing them. They do not know how are they connected. After getting the special invite, they all came to the concert. Of course there are people other than them.Otherwise it would highly be suspected.

At the concert, after all the songs are done, a screen emerged. A neatly dressed suit man appeared in the screen.

" Some of you may know me. I am here to collect my debt. Have a nice trip to hell. "

Ka Boom!!!!!!

The hall which hold the concert exploded.

Some where on a roof top a building near the concert hall, a man was waiting for the explosion while drinking beer. The a loud sound and fire started to come out from the hall. The intensity of explosion is so high, the shock wave arrived where the man standing.

" The fire!!! how beautiful. "

4 hours later, the police quickly find the lab where the man prepared the bomb. His base was found.

The police raided the lab. More than 20 officers involved in the raid. When the police are inside the lab, a phone rang. When a police pick up the phone, a voice from other side talked.

" Hello, you found my lab right. I have prepared a gift for you all. Enjoy!!! "

Ka booom!!!! , the lab too exploded.

The man thought himself.

" My whole life! I have done good things. I protect my country however it saw me as nothing. The woman I married cheated. The job that fired me. The people I helped, don't help me when I needed.

The witch hunt made me lose all the things I have.

The unfair justice system that screw me. HaHaHa.

I regret it. I really really regret it that I protect the feminist country that hate me while I was putting my life on the line. Never again. Never again I will do that. If only life can have a restart, I will live for myself. "

Then the man put the gun on the side of his head and shot it.

Bang! !!!!

A sad but was a good man life was pass away.

And it is not over yet. The men woke up in a room with abundant white light.

A man in 30s in the room said,

" Hello, I am a god who in charge of reincarnation. As your recent doing before you die, you loss quite good karma. There are some left. Do wish to reborn in this world or other universe? Choose."

The man said his wishes. And he did not want to reborn in this world again.

Volundr wake up while his heart is rapidly beating.

He had a nightmare.

" I am dreaming about it again. My previous life suck. This time I won't let it happen. I will stand up for myself. "
