Prologue

"One night, Lei was spying on the bad guys that she was sent to find and stop before they did anything bad, wearing a full ensemble of dark-colored clothing and blending into her surroundings. She spots them and waits for the right time to attack. She attacked and stabbed in the stomach. She lost consc-" mumbles a female voice as they type it out on their laptop and eat chips. They got interrupted by someone shouting their name.

"Hey Xiao!!" Someone shouted.

"Yes!!?!?!" Xiao shouted back.

"We have something to show you!" They replied.

"Ok! I'm coming, just let me finish something!" She said as she closed her laptop and went downstairs.

When Xiao got downstairs, she saw her three friends that were ready to go to a party.

"What did you guys want to show me?" Xiao asked.

"We need you to go and get dressed up like us," one of them said, smiling.

"Wh-Why? Where are you going to take me if I need to get dolled up?"

"Just do it. You'll figure it out on the way," another one said.

Xiao nods as she asks, "how dolled up do I need to be?"

"Like us. Let us help you get ready because we don't have time to waste," the one who shouted said.

Xiao nods as they go back to her room so that they can get Xiao dressed up.

After they got Xiao dressed and ready, the four girls went and started on their way to Xiao's surprise. They almost get there when Xiao figures out where they are going. She gets excited.

"Guys, did you do the thing that I've been talking about?" Xiao asked.

None of them replied and just smiled.

She got even more excited. Xiao couldn't wait to get there.

They get there. Mi Su-Bin parks the car as they get out. They head in, and the three girls go to the place where Xiao's surprise is located. Xiao follows, of course, in awe.

"Su-Bin, why are we here?" Xiao asked.

"Did you really forget what today is?" Su-Bin replied.

"Uhhhh. Well, I've been busy with work, so the days have been hectic for me."

"Xiao, today is the day you saved Chi, Tang, and I from those perverts," Mi Su-Bin said.

"Really? You still remember that?" Xiao asked.

They all nod.

"Of course, we do. That was the day we pledged to stay by your side," Chi said.

"Yeah, and it was the start of our friendship," Tang said.

Xiao smiled and shook her head. "You know, you guys are too much sometimes," she said.

"We know, but you love us. Anyway, we're almost to where the surprise is," Su-Bin said.

"Yeah. Yeah. Can you give me another hint?" Xiao asked.

"You've been talking about this for months after you found out about it," Tang said.

"You didn't." Xiao said as she had a feeling on what they were talking about. "You did, didn't you?"

They all nod. Xiao could tell how much they cared for her and their friendship. She smiled.

They get to the room with the surprise inside.

Xiao knocked, and a male's voice said come in.

Xiao opens the door and walks in. When she walked in, she saw her old childhood friend, who had become the leader of a K-pop boy band named Warriors. She smiled and ran over to him and hugged him.

"I've missed you so much, Ru Tong Hyon," she said as she was crying, happy tears, of course.

"I've missed you more, Xiao Yawen," Ru said as he hugged her back, smiling, "I'm glad that you can say my whole name without any problems."

"I've been practicing, and I've also been taking Korean class so that I can speak to your parents in their own language so that you don't have to translate it for me," Xiao said as she looked up at him, smiling.

He chuckled as he wiped the tears from her face and said, "Ah. So, you did talk to my pa and ma while I was training."

Xiao realized what she had said and what he thought she meant. She goes red. "It's not what you think. I would just go over on days where I was free, and they were free, and I would help them with whatever they needed," she said.

"Ok. Ok. I'll believe you today, Lord Yawen," he said as he smiled.

She released him from her grip and pouted.

Ru flicked her forehead softly. "Hey, there's some people I want you to meet. They wouldn't stop bothering me about the picture I have of you. The one from when we were little, that's in my wallet."

"You keep a picture of me in your wallet from when we were little?" Xiao asked.

"Yeah, you're the reason that I have gotten to this point and why I have become the person I am today. Your support, care, and love got me to where I am. I have to bring my lucky charm everywhere and tell people that I have someone waiting for me back home."

"You're lucky charm?"

"Yes, you've been my lucky charm for as long as I can remember," he said as he smiled and took out his wallet to show her. He showed her. The picture was of her when she had fallen asleep in self-study in high school.

Her eyes widened and she took his wallet. "This is such an embarrassing picture of me!! Get rid of it! Get a new picture and put it in there!!"

"Nope," he said as he took his wallet back, "you should know that everyone says that you're adorable and that we are a perfect match."

Xiao's eyes widened and went red. "Ru!! Change the picture that you keep in your wallet! I don't want people to think that we're dating!!"

"Never. You can try to change it, but you will have to get it over my dead body," he said as he smiled.

"Ok. Fine, I will," she said as she smirked.

"You better not try to kill me to get to my wallet," he said.

Xiao's friends laughed and Su-Bin said, "Xiao, no murdering him."

"Ru, I'm not going to kill you, or I'll have millions of people coming after my ass," Xiao said, "I know, I just have an idea how I'm going to get his wallet away from him."

"Ok," Su-Bin said.

"You better not be planning on killing me in my sleep," Ru said.

"I'm not," Xiao said.

"Good," Ru said, "also, my group will be here soon. When they heard that I was going to surprise you for your friendship anniversary with your three best friends, they asked if they could see and meet you."

"Ok," Xiao said as she smiled.

They got to talking about what's been going on in their lives since the last time they saw each other. It's been about half an hour, Ru's friends knocked on the door.

"Yes?" Tang called out.

"It's my friends. Come in, boys," Ru said.

The door opened and in came five boys wearing disguises. Xiao looked over and saw them.

"Ru, which one is your girl?" one of them asked.

"She's looking right at you guys," he said.

They looked at the girl who was looking at them.

"Hello, I'm Xiao Yawen. Nice to meet you all," she said as she smiled.

"Hello. Nice to meet you. I'm Hyon Dae-Ho," Dae-Ho said.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Sung Minjun," Minjun said.

"I'm In Chihun," Chihun smiled as he introduced himself.

"I'm Sok Dong-Wook," Dong-Wook said.

"Ku Kwan," Kwan introduced himself.

Xiao smiled.

"You are cute like Ru said you are," Minjun said as he smiled.

All the boys walked over to Xiao to take a closer look at her.

"E-eh?!!?" Xiao said as she got all red again.

"Awe!! She's so cute!!" Dae-Ho said as he smiled.

"You guys are making her embarrassed. Go and sit down before you kill her," Ru said, "she's not used to being called cute by boys."

They all nodded and went to go sit down.

"Wait! She's not used to being called cute by boys?" Dong-Wook asked.

Xiao nodded and replied, "I was that one girl who would always be alone, but if there was a college event, I would participate. None of the boys would talk to me because I was quite scary to them, but they never bothered me when I was studying. Though there was a time where a new third year boy came up to me and told me that he had fallen in love with me." Xiao had mumbled the last part as she knew that Ru would get jealous that someone confessed to her.

"Oh. Well, at least you were focused on college work and not love like someone we know," Dong-Wook said as he looked at Ru.

"Hey! I was the top student," Ru said.

Xiao giggled and said, "sure you were. I remember you calling me whenever you were stuck on something when you found out that I had my own phone."

"Xiao, I only called you because I missed your voice and talking about how my days went," Ru said.

"Sureeee," Xiao said, sarcastically.

All of them burst out laughing.

"Fine, I called you because I was stuck on something, but most of the time I really did miss hearing your voice."

"Ok. Ok," she said as she smiled.

A while later, the boys were getting to know Xiao. They had been asking her questions and things about herself. It was already about two in the morning by the time they called it a night. They had a few drinks, so most of them were drunk. All of Xiao's girlfriends were drunk and Xiao was somewhat drunk. Ru's friends were drunk.

"We better get going as the girls and I have work in the morning," Xiao said as she got up.

Her friends got up as well as they were about to be sober again.

"Ok. I'll see you guys out then," Ru said.

"Ok," Xiao said as she smiled and went to grab her friends' things as they threw them around the room. She grabbed all her friends' things as her friends headed to the car.

Ru was waiting for Xiao to get all her friends' things.

"Ok. I've got all my friends' things," Xiao said as she walked over to Ru.

"After you, m'lady," Ru said.

Xiao laughed as she walked out. Ru followed her.

They almost got to the car when someone was going fast and hit Xiao. Things went flying as Xiao fell to the road. Xiao was conscious, but as soon as she heard sirens, she went unconscious. On the way, in the ambulance, she would regain consciousness, but only for a little bit. Xiao lost consciousness once again.
