Swarm God Cult.

Danny felt a cold water splash on his face as he awoke.

He opened his eyes in a daze and looked around the room, the first thing he saw was the face of middle-aged women who was holding a glass of water.

Her eyes were red from crying, tear stains could be seen on her cheeks.

'Why is Aunt Susan crying?' that's when Danny remembered the message he received before fainting.

"Aunty, my Mom, and Dad are they.......are they....." he didn't have the courage to finish that sentence.

"*sob*", Susan was trying to control her own tears.

That sob confirmed Danny's worst fears.

Suddenly someone opened the door to the room.

"Susan, we the doctor just called me and........" he paused as he saw that Danny was awake.

It was Matthew, Susan's husband.

"Uncle.......are my parents," although he mentally confirmed his guess from Susan sob, he still hoped his that he was wrong.

"......"Matthew seemed conflicted, no one likes to be the one to break the news, in the end, he gritted his teeth and said, "I am sorry.......Your father has already passed away, and your mother is in a coma."

Danny falls to his knees as tears began to fill his eyes.

The funeral for Danny's father Simon was not a small one, this was because the tragedy that caused the death of Simon also claimed the lives of nearly 100 people.

The Union Government decided to host a group funeral for all the victims of the tragedy.

From an E grade dungeon, an unexpected Monster Tide occurred.

Both of Danny's parents were hunting with their party in the same dungeon. So they had to resist the full frontal attack of the monsters.

The Monster Tide almost caused a Dungeon Break.

Thankfully the Union Government acted quickly, with the help of military they suppressed it.

After the funeral, Danny went to the hospital to see his mother.

All the basic hospital bill was managed by the Union Government for a period of 3 months. They also gave a million credits as compensation to all the families of the victims.

According to Doctor, his mother was bitten by several poisons bugs, but thanks to her low poison resistance skill she managed to survive until now.

Due to her skill, the poison was spreading at an extremely slow rate, it would take at least 10 months before it kills her.

Danny inquired if any antivenom were used but the doctor said that their too many types of venoms in his mother that is it is impossible to identify one from each other.

The only way to save his mother was to use the Potion of Cleansing.

The Potion of Cleansing can remove all the impurities inside the body including venom.

But sadly, this potion costs 1 billion credits for just 1 milliliter, according to the doctor he needs at least 10 milliliters for all the poison to be removed from her body.

Danny, using his Quantum Phone looked at his bank account.

After his father's death, all his savings were automatically transferred to Danny's account.

Right now Danny had slightly over 2 Billion credits, and in his mothers account there is another 1 billion. And from his father's Life insurance and his mother's health insurance, he should be able to get another billion.

In total, he had over 4 billion credits and it's close to half the cost needed to for the potion.

For a second he wanted to ask Aunt Susan for help, but he decided against it.

Although he was sure that his Aunt won't turn down his plea for help, but their help won't make a dent in the amount he needs.

The reason why his parents were able to accumulate so much money was that they were E class Hunters.

Hunters normally make money by selling Monster corpses.

Corpses of monsters had a lot of uses, so they are sold at a high price.

On the other hand, Susan and Matthew are civilians, Susan runs a small bakery while Matthew is an office worker at the Human Rights department.

Their combined saving won't even amount to a billion.

As Danny was reading an article about the Potion of Cleansing, he saw a notification from the news channel.

He was about to ignore it and continue reading when he noticed that the news was about the tragedy that killed his father.

Clicking on the notification he was taken to a new page.

The article there calmed that the Monster Tied was artificially caused and the culprit might be a new terrorist organization called the Swarm God Cult.

It also calmed that the Union Government is trying to cover up the incident, to prevent the public from panicking.

Never before had there been an artificially caused Monster Tide, such an event would surely send ripples throughout humanity.

Shortly after the news article was released it was taken down. But screenshots of the article was circulated throughout the internet.

"Swarm God Cult....." Danny said as he tried to suppress the rage in his heart.

At that moment Danny took a vow to become a powerful hunter, save his mother and destroy the Swarm God Cult.
