Hit and Run.
Danny and the Fat Rat entered into a staring contest.
Since Danny always dreamt of becoming a Hunter and a Sword Artist he had done his research into many of the common Monsters and byhearted their strengths and weakness.
Know your enemy and yourself and never lose a battle.
If he could have he would have tried to learn all the information about all monsters in the world, which was freely available on the net. But it was impossible for a level 1 to process such vast amounts of information in a short period of time, without becoming a high-level Hunter who had invested a lot of stat points in INT and WIS, it would take at least decades worth of studies to by heart all that information.
Danny remembered the strengths and weakness of the Fat Rat.
Its strength was its ability to dig through solid concrete like dirt, it's extremely tough teeth, sharp claws, and it has a very strong sense of smell.
Its fur is metallic in nature, so sharp weapons like swords and sabers are less effective on it.
It's also highly resistant to poison, apparently before the Great Catastrophy humans used to kill rats with poison, so they evolved to resistant to even the strongest poison we can throw at them.
They don't have much weakness to say about, their eyes and nose are weak against all forms attack, and blunt weapons like hammers and mace are effective on it if the attack hits on the spine.
Danny did not have any weapons in his hands right now, so even if he had a weapon his pathetically small ATK won't do much damage to the rat other than enraging it.
Running was an option that would most definitely lead to his death. The Fat Rat was extremely fast, the only reason why he was able to dodge its first attack was that he saw the rat with his x-ray vision and used his slow-motion vision on it to predict its future trajectory.
He won't so lucky next time. As even if he is able to predict the future trajectory he won't be able to react in time as his AGI and INT are too low.
'If I run I am dead. If I fight I am dead.'
Both options seem like a dead end to him.
'What would Dad and Mom do in such a situation?'
He suddenly remembered a lesson his father had taught him after a training section.
{'Danny if you ever come across an opponent you cannot defeat or escape from it is always best to use the Hit and Run tactic. Don't wait for your opponent to take the first move and gain the advantage, strike first, try to blind him then run and try to hide. If he follows you and has a very accurate way to detect you, strike again before he can accurately pinpoint your location.
And Danny, you have a bad habit of following everything by the book. Never forget that a battlefield is a chaotic place and almost nothing ever happens by the book there, so be creative, be adaptive and most importantly be smart.'}
Remembering those words he quickly formulated a plan.
'I will take the first move and feint a punch at it, the rat will be enraged and jump at me, I will move to my right and punch its left eye with my fist coated with Ghost Fire, then I will make run for it, since the Ghost Fire has the inextinguishable property it will continuously burn on his eyes making it difficult for him to chase me down.'
He launched himself forward with the feint punch, just like he predicted the rat was enraged and jumped at him, he had already used his slow-motion vision to predict the trajectory and moved his right while maintaining his momentum.
Just as he was about to punch the rat, it turned its head towards Danny and opened its mouth with the intent to bite of Danny's fist.
But thanks to his slow-motion vision, he was able to predict this, he feints punch with his right-hand while using BP charges up Ghost Fire on his left.
Just as the right fist was about to enter the rat's mouth he changed the fists direction towards its eyes, but that was also a feint meant to distract the rat.
As the rat readjusted its mouth to bite of Danny's arm.
Suddenly the rat's nose twitches, it faintly smells the sulfur in the air.
Since the Ghost Fire is a subspecies of Hellfire, it has the smell of sulfur.
As it was distracted by the smell and Danny's right fist.
*SLAM* suddenly Danny's left fist coated in Ghost Fire uppercut into the rat's chest.
*BLAZE* the rat's chest was set ablaze.
*SCREECH* it roared in anger and pain while trying to extinguish the fire on its chest.
[Your Ghost Fire does a minute amount of DMG to the Fat Rat.]
Danny sighed as he saw the notification. He was not able to attack its eyes.
If the DMG did by an attack is lesser than 1 then the Brahmanic Creation Record will only notify it as a minute amount of DMG and will not give the quantity of DMG. If the attack had landed on the eyes then the damage would have been more.
'My Ghost Fire has 10% of my ATK as its ATK, so it should have 1.2 ATK but because of the Fat Rat's DEF and END, the amount of DMG done to it is lesser than 1, basically all my Ghost Fire is doing is giving it an unbearable itch,' he thought as he bolted in the opposite direction.
The Fat Rat was enraged as it saw its prey escaping. It decided to ignore the irritating green fire and chase after Danny.
Danny's heart was beating like a drum as it pumped high amounts of adrenaline.

He ignored the notification and used his increased speed to increase the distance between him and the rat.
But even with the buff, his speed was not enough to escape the Fat Rat.
Fat Rat was faster. And it was furious, the annoying green fire is slowly spreading from his chest to his stomach, its metallic fur which makes it immune to bullets and swords are starting to melt.
Among F grade Monster Fat Rats is undoubtedly one of the strongest in terms of individual prowess. In an F grade dungeon, this monster would undoubtedly be a boss class monster.
This particular Fat Rat was level 19, so how could a level 1 out run a level 19 monster.
Distance between him and the rat was getting shorter by the second.
He roughly calculated the distance between him and the rat through the sound it was making while running, but he couldn't pinpoint its exact location as it was moving too fast.
Due to the warning given by the Union Government, the streets became desolate, so Danny could only rely on himself to get out of this predicament unless he is lucky enough to meet a Hunter.
He remembered his father's words, 'Be creative, Be adaptive, Be smart.'
Suddenly he had an idea. The idea was not only crazy but borderline suicidal but it was the only option left for him.
He forced himself to halt. Before the rat could comprehend his action he turned around and opened his arms as if to welcome the Fat Rat into a hug.
The rat thought that its prey had accepted its fate, it jumped into Danny's embrace and aimed its teeth at his jugular.
Danny used his slow-motion vision to predict the trajectory of the rat's mouth, his body swayed to the side causing the rat's teeth to penetrate into his shoulders rather than his neck. With its powerful jaw strength that could eat through concrete, it crushed his shoulder bone.

Because of the huge momentum the rat had behind it Danny fell backward with the rat on top of him.
Before it could bite any further, he hugged the rat by the neck as tight as he could.
"BURN!!!!" he shouted as his entire body erupted in ghastly green flames as he used all his BP at once. For a short second, he turned into a green human torch.
His clothes and all his belongings including his Quantum Phone burnt up and the explosion of fire covered the Fat Rat.
*SREEACH* it roared as it experienced pain similar to million ants biting.
It jumped off of Danny and rolled on the ground.
Although the ATK of them Ghost fire is small, it will certainly be painful if your entire body was covered with it.
The fire on Danny died down as he was immune to it, while the rat became a flaming rat as all its metallic fur caught on fire.
Although it was metals only melt and don't burn. The Ghost Fire had the ability to decompose all forms of matter and energy, so even metal burn under its effect.
Danny did not wait for the rat to recover, he who was now naked ran at the top speed that his injured body could allow him.
