17 Go outside

The twins woke up early in the morning. They decided to eat first because their parents were still sleeping. Only ten minutes or so passed when suddenly Gabby stood up from her chair. She excused herself and said that she will be at their room first. Gabby planned to go outside to roam the area, to see if there was changes in their village, so she went to their room and changed her clothes first. After she finished changing her clothes, she grabbed a cap.

She was walking downstairs when Alex saw her from the living room. Alex was confused on why her sister would wear a cap again. They are inside their house so there's no need for it but when she saw that her sister was in different clothes, she realized that maybe her sister planned to go outside. Alex then heaved a sigh, she can't stop feeling angry in herself. When she looked at Gabby, she felt like she took her life away. She always thought that what if she didn't propose that horrible idea, then maybe her sister can live her life freely without any restrictions.

"I don't plan on going outside, you can leave the cap here." Seeing her sister, Alex can't help but remarked.

"Oh… Okay, thanks! I'll be going now just tell mom that I went outside. I'll be back later, bye!"

Gabby then left, she first went to the playground area inside the village. She was expecting that only few people would be there because it was still early, but she didn't imagine that there would be several people around there. There are people who were jogging around the area, obviously, there were no kids yet. Since there were a couple of people, she decided to sit in the swing first, to observe the people around her. It's one of her habit and it may also look funny but she didn't experience sitting on one before. The twins are both inside their house during their childhood days, it was just last year when they both got to wonder around their village, even outside their village. After staying there for a long time, she got up and started walking again. She decided to go home already because she still needs to pack up her things since her mom planned to have a camping today.

She was only three blocks away from their house when someone shouted Alex's name. She turned her head around and she was surprised to see Miggy, her heart was beating crazily when she saw him. She didn't expect to see him here, she was well aware that he was roaming around the world so why would he be here. The same time when they got back here, it's too cliché to think that it was coincidence.

Of course, she was happy to see him, but pain was overpowering her happiness. She also can't help but feel her longingness for him, but she made sure that such emotions would not be shown in her face. She kept a straight face to hide her emotions.

She stared at him for a while, memorizing every feature of his face. It's been a while and there was changes in his face, he looked thinner than before. She wanted to caress his face, to feel every edge of it but she held it back. Just like before, she doesn't have any rights.

Then, Miggy walked up to her and greeted her. She was hurt to see the man whom she loved greeted her with an awkward smile. It hurts to think that the loving smile before will turn into awkward smile now. She felt ashamed of herself, it felt like her presence made him feel awkward. She thought that it was because he wasn't sure if she was Alex or not. He must want to talk with Alex and not her, but both had strikingly the same face, so it confused him. Despite that, she still smiled to him and asked how he had been. She wanted to know if he's doing good because if not, she doesn't know how she will faced him in the future. She was also afraid that this meeting could also be the last one she could chat with him, so she made use of it. Luckily, he's doing good so there was nothing she needed to worry about.

After the short greetings, Miggy asked her the question she has been dreading but waiting for at the same time. He asked him who she was, she was scared on what will her answer be. She was contemplating if she will tell him the truth or not. In the end, for the first time in her life, she wanted to be honest, so he decided to tell him the truth. She was about to answer when suddenly Charles appear out of nowhere.
