20 Confrontation

Gabby summarized all the things that she wanted to say, there's no need to prolong it. Obviously, the two already knew what happened earlier so she proceeded on asking them. She first looked at her cousin, she wanted to know on how her cousin knew Miguel was staying there.

Cassie answered her cousin's question truthfully. She said all the details to her cousin – that meeting Miguel there was just coincidence and it just happened the day before their flight coming back here. Gabby studied her cousin for a while and asked her to leave the room for a moment. Cassie was hesitating if she should leave the twins or not, but she was forced to leave when Alex nodded to her to leave.

Cassie was waiting outside and getting ready to barge in the room if something bad will happen between the twins. When she suddenly heard the sound of the door getting locked from the inside, she started to panic but she tried her best to stay calm. She trusts both her cousin, so she was expecting that they won't do anything st*pid. She just stayed there waiting when she heard loud voices in the room, it seems someone was shouting.

She was contemplating if she should have asked one of the maid to get the keys for her, but she was thinking about her aunt and uncle. What would they feel if they got to know that the twins were fighting. In the end, she just hoped that it will be over soon, and no one got hurt.

On the other hand, the twins were staring at each other for a while. They were both trying to clear their head so that their emotions wouldn't take the best of them. Gabby were the one who started their conversation. She asked her direct to the point. They were sisters and old enough to be mature so there's no need to beat around the bush.

"Did you know about this?" Even though Gabby already assumed that her sister knew about it she still gave her the benefit of the doubt. Alex didn't answer her right away.

"Yes, it was the time when Cassie called me. It was the same day she met him accidentally at the mall. She informed me through the phone." Hearing it from her sister, she felt she was betrayed.

"Why didn't you tell me? I remembered asking you what's wrong."

"You just finish your therapy session with your doctor, I think it would be best for you not to know it first." Alex reasoned out. Gabby snapped from what her sister said, it feels like her sister was playing with her life. Her emotions got the best of her, she shouted her sister even though she's not feeling well. She thought that this issue needs to be resolved already. She can't take the pain anymore.

"Alex, you don't need to decide my life for me. I'm old enough to decide for myself. We're not kids anymore, I can take care of myself very well." Gabby shouted to her sister. She continued shouting, Alex didn't get the chance to depend herself anymore. Her sister was acting hysterically.

"Alex, we promised - we promised that we will not keep a secret from each other. Why do you need to break it?" Gabby started shaking Alex shoulders while there was tears from her own eyes flowing through her face. Alex was just there looking at her, reflecting pain from her eyes.

"Do you really not value my opinion? Do we really need to go back from the past? Huh, Alex! Answer me!"

"I'm getting tired from understanding you, Alex. My patience is running out too. I'm also a human – I have feelings. I'm not a doll, Alex. I'm not a doll, do you hear me?" After saying this, Gabby was crying uncontrollably then her body slowly slide downwards on the floor. This day was really a worst day for her. She was just crying all day and she was getting tired of it already. It was just like before, the same mistakes but in different form.

Alex who was quiet all the time her sister ranting her frustration. Seeing her sister poured out all the things hurting her, she felt relieved and guilty at the same time. She just wanted the best for her but by doing that she ended up hurting her sister. Her sister always let her have her way when it comes to thing, but it seems like she crossed the line this time, she was slowly loathing herself. She can't have imagined how much pain her sister must have felt when she

learned the truth.

Instead of being there with her, she was always on the other side – not supporting her sister. She wanted to say she's sorry but what could her sorry helped. In the end, she just hugged her sister, but her sister flinched from her touch so all she could do was to stay away from her sister at this moment.

She decided to make things right for her sister. After that, she went out the room and talked to Cassie. She asked her to contact their friends and tell them that she has something important

to say.

It's about time to tell them the truth.

This will help Gabby and her to be freed.
