16 Are you Louisse or Gabriella?
Morning
Miguel decided to have a jog early in the morning. He was jogging around the village when he saw one of the twins, he was not quite sure if she's Louisse or Gabriella. He tried to call her with 'Alex', but it seems like she didn't hear him. Then, he jogged his way near to her and when he was only a meter away from her. He called her again, this time, the girl turned around.
He had called her Alex to be safe, after all, the twins both have Alex in their name. On the other hand, the girl looked surprised to see him. The surprised look that he saw a while ago only last for a second after that the girl put up a poker face. He can't see any emotions from the face of the girl in front of her anymore, she was just staring blankly at him. That made Miguel nervous, he didn't know how to approach the girl, so he just decided to greet her as normal as possible.
"Hey...Hi!" Miguel said. He was quite nervous on the girl's reaction, so he didn't notice that he plastered an awkward smile on his face. Fortunately, the girl smiled and returned his greeting.
"Hi! How are you?" The girl was smiling while she was asking him. This made Miguel to be relieved a little, so he smiled in return. Luckily, the girl help initiates the conversation.
"It's been a while! I'm doing good, you?" He asked in return.
"I'm doing good also."
Miguel was contemplating if he's going to ask her if she was Louisse or Gabriella, but he's scared that it might offend her. He tried to assess her, but he couldn't get any clue that will help him to discover whom she is. Leaving him with no choice, he just dropped the question.
"I have a question but it's quite sensitive." He looked at her to see her reaction. She was looking at him as if she was a student who's listening to his teacher. She was looking and listening attentively at him which made Miguel relaxed and continued with his question.
"Are you Louisse or Gabriella?" He waited for quite some time and when the girl was about to answer, a guy suddenly rushed up to her.
"Alex!" The guy shouted and hugged her.
"Charles!" She exclaimed with the same enthusiasm.
When she called Charlie as Charles, Miguel was now sure that it was her. After all, she was the only one between the twins who called Charlie as Charles.
"How are you? Where have you been all this time?"
"I'm fine! I was in Yukon." She answered Charlie's questions.
"Wait! Hey, dude! Is that where you came from also? Don't tell me you were with her all this time. Is that also the reason on why you asked me if she was with someone else when she came back here?" Charlie continued to ask Miguel question after question.
Little did he knew, Miguel was equally shocked as him when he heard her answer. He didn't know that she was staying at Yukon though he had suspicion of it, he didn't get a chance to prove it.
When they thought Charlie is already finished with his question, he asked again. It seems like he had a lot of questions for them.
"How could you betray me like that? You could have just told me if you were still together. Also, how could you ask me if she was with someone? You already knew about it, yet you still asked me. Why? Do you want to make sure that she came back here with Cassie?" Charlie asked Miguel then he turned to Alex.
"Is that also the reason why suddenly Cassie went to Yukon? Is it to fetch you, Alex? You know that you really don't have to keep it a secret, right? I mean, you really don't have to be sneaky like before." Charlie added.
Before Miguel can react to all the things he heard. A phone rang, it was her phone. She read the text and then looked at the two of them.
"I'm sorry! But I have to go, Mom is already looking for me. I'll catch up with the both of you soon, bye!" The boys didn't have the chance to bid her goodbye anymore because she ran to their house already.
Charlie then looked at his best friend, there's a lot of things that they had to talk about. It seems like Miguel is keeping a secret from him. On the other hand, Miguel can't help but smiled.
Finally, they had met again.
