23 Alex is not here

'By the way, Cassie's on her way also to fix your make up.'

I'm so doomed. Why does Alex need to do this to me? For once, can't my plans atleast be followed? I really don't understand on why Alex keep on making it hard for me. Is this my karma? Is this the way that I should pay for having feelings for him? Because if this is it then they have chosen the right karma.

I was watching when someone came in so it caught me off guard that leads me in responding awkwardly, as if was caught on act for doing something wrong when in reality I'm not because i'm just merely watching.

"Hi! What brings you here?" She asked.

"I'm picking up Alex but she's still changing." Her brows creased after I answered her question.

"Sorry? Did you say Alex?"

"Yup, I'm sorry but who are you?"

"My apoligies, I'm Alex's nanny but as far as I'm concern Alex is not here."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Miguel. Alex's friend, i mean boyfriend. Actually, I saw her and we talked awhile ago. She actually told me to wait here."

"I think you're mistaken. She's no-" She didn't get to finish what she's saying because Cassie suddenly call her loudly.

Linda was startled when Cassie called her with her loud voice.

"Hi Migs! I hope you can excuse us for a moment. We'll leave you here and you can go back on what you're doing."

"Cassie, I think he's mistaken. Alex is not here, she went with me at the market earlier today and we part ways because she needs to go to your house."

"Linda, have you forgotten that Gabby is also Alex? He just normally called Gabby, Alex so he's not mistaken. By the way, I have to go. I still need to help Gabby to dress up."

"That's a first. I didn't expect for Gabby to have a boyfriend. I won't bother you any longer so go ahead and help Gabby. I'll assist her guest here so take your time to make her prettier."

Cassie was doing my make up while I'm talking to her about what Alex did to me this day.

"Cassie, am I weird for feeling that Alex is manipulating me? Because she has her ways to make me do her biddings."

"Of course not Gabby. Maybe Alex just need you just like today. Also you know Alex, she won't do anything to harm you." That is what you thought Cassie but the situation right now is harmful for me or for the both us. I want to share my problem to Cassie but I can't because I'm afraid she'll judge me.

"So enough of this, I'm done. Let's go down since Miguel was already waiting for like an hour or so." Well, I think I have no choice already but to go to the party with Miguel and Cassie, hoping that I won't make mistake or anything that I would regret.

I was swept off my feet by how beautiful Alex is tonight. She's always beautiful ofcourse but she's especially beautiful right now. I think I fell in love again.

"You look beautiful tonight" She smiled at me and said her thanks but Cassie has rebutt to what I've said.

"What? She looks beautiful tonight? So was she ugly before?" Cassie laughed at the end.

"O-of course not, what I'm trying to say is she looks especially beautiful right now than the other days. That you know, make me love her more." I blushed as I said that last line. Cassie is really good in teasing people.

As I look at Alex, she smiled too but it didn't reach her eyes. I can see sadness there that makes me afraid because I might did something she didn't like but Cassie knew about our relationship and there's nothing to hide from her. Was she disappointed that I profess my feelings for her in front of Cassie? But usually girls like it but yeah, how can I forget that she's different.

'H-hey! You really didn't have to say that! I'm just kidding you know." I saw how Cassie look at Alex, she looks worried. I think she also felt the awkwardness that lingering between the three of us.

"Come on! Let's go! I think it's time for us to go already." Cassie lead the way as I put my hands at the back of Alex.

I was in the middle of assisting Alex to go inside the car when Cassie said her goodbye.

"I'm going now, I'll drop by at Charles' house."

"You're not going with us?" Alex asked.

"Nope, I'll go with him. Just enjoy the ride with Miguel."

"Miguel, take care of my cousin. I'll see you guys later. Bye!" She continued while looking at me with a sense of threat. I smiled at her in return while nodding my head.
