1 Prologue & Info

Prologue

Rheya's family, the Lamonts, had lived in the land of Kashvok for centuries. Attending Lilith's school was a tradition in the Lamont family. The first person to ever enrol in Lilith's was a member of the Lamont family. They were an elite group of people. The family and the tragedy that befell them were well known in the entire realm of Willorin. Many had wild misconceptions about the family, saying they used dark (blood) magic or that they were evil. And so, the Lamonts were no strangers to enemies.

Rheya was only nine months old when her parents were brutally murdered. Her siblings—an older brother and sister; her pets—a red-tailed sparrow and a sprite her father had specially imported from the fae realm; and the rest of her family—uncles and aunts—had all been killed. The only people left were Gabriel, her father's guard, and Margaret, the cook.

The day had finally come for Rheya to leave the comforts of the Lamont mansion and move to Lilith's. Will her quest to find answers about what happened to her family push her into meeting the same fate as them, or will she rise above her adversities?

Realm of Willorin

The Capital consisted of the five mini-lands: Ezkar, Kashvok, Grimlane, Zokzok, and Shuuan. Outside the Capital were two major cities: Leon and Arkov. These cities provided the trade routes for the rest of the Capital and also housed the top-most school for magic and combat, Lilith's School of Warriors and Wizardry. Every year, thousands of students from all across the Capital apply to Lilith's in hopes of studying at the most prestigious school. Graduating from Lilith's was a sure-shot way of securing a job at the Willorin High Command or anywhere else, for that matter. Not to forget the coveted Tournament of Draag, where students displayed excellent skills in magic and combat against one another in a bid to win the VIP Mage/Warrior title. Winning this title would mean you would automatically join the top one percent of the population, with doors of opportunity thrown open for you in every direction.

The Minority

An outcast group: those who did not belong to any of the five mini-lands or the cities of Leon and Arkov. The ones banished by the King. They possess no magical abilities or powers.

The five mini-lands (the Capital)

The five mini-lands are next to each other in a cluster: Zokzok, Kashvok, Shuuan, Grimlane, Ezkar.

The northernmost lands are the lands of Zokzok and Kashvok. They are nestled on either side of a thick forest that runs right in the middle, separating the two lands.

In the middle, the two lands separating the north from the south are Shuuan and Grimlane.

Right under the belly of Shuuan is the land of Ezkar.

The southernmost lands, outside the Capital, are Leon and Arkov.

Zokzok: Native land of dragons.

Kashvok: Native land of sirens.

Shuuan: Native land of kitsune.

Grimlane: Native land of werewolves.

Ezkar: Native land of vampires.

Fairies and witches are common in all of the lands, but they are mostly prominent in the cities of Leon and Arkov.
