1 CH 1 Dreams do come true
Mino was really planning to head home if he only didn't heard such the two girls outside the locker room, his ears perk up started to focus. He has a knack for gossip, you see. His mom said its all thanks to his mole on his ear that he has such great hearing. Mino just likes to keep himself "updated", what's wrong with that?!
Mino quickly positions himself next to the door . The girls outside seems to be talking about the people in their volleyball club. Most of the topics baseless rumors and over the top stories. Just as about he was to pick up his bag from the floor, he hears his name.
"You know the news about Mino?"
"What?! I haven't heard one about him in a while."
the girls huddles closer but their voice was still loud enough to hear
"Don't tell this to anybody okay? My friend told me that her friend Lizel likes Mino. She heard Lizel talking with her friends about Mino!"
"Also, they already have a fanpage with 2,000 followers. #Mizel"
Mino quickly pulled out his phone and searched.
His jaw dropped, how didn't he notice?! He was already famous and he didn't know it.
Mino always make sure he is updated on the trends, and he just missed this when this was right under his nose?
As the girls squeal as they look on the pictures on the page; Mino walks out of the locker room with a smile plastered on his face and gave the girls a nod.
As Mino walks out of the gymnasium his thoughts wander as to how he should propose to Lizel to be his girlfriend; he can't pass his opportunity to fame.
Mino took out his phone again and messaged his friends to get ideas. He may want it to be simple but he wants to make sure that people will talk about his confession for days or weeks of possible.
As he walks to the exit of the uni, a waving hand blocks his vision.
Speaking of the devil. As the fine silhouette greets Mino, all he could ever think as to what he should do to further lead it on.
Lizel was in front of him wearing a soft smile, before he thinks that Lizel is just a very shy person but after knowing her secret, all he sees is a facade Lizel makes to lure him in. Little did she know. That all he could see is his pass to fame. Being a part-time influencer and online seller really helped him get through his bills; little bit more fame wouldn't hurt would it?
"How was the practice?"
"It was alright. A bit tiring but alright."
Mino notices that the people around the uni are looking at them, some even bringing out their phones.
A wry smile forms in his lips, he the stopped in his tracks and turned to Lizel.
Without a moments notice Mino proceeds to lean a bit closer to her. Their faces a few inches closer.
"How about you Lizel? Why are you still here? You dont have any club activities, or ----" Mino leans closer and whispers to her ear
"Do you?"
As Mino pulls back Lizels eyes started to look everywhere just to avoid his gaze. Hands gesturing as if she was a conductor in an orchestra
"I was -- I was going to get my notes you borrowed earlier"
Lizel then goes behind Mino and rummages his backpack to get her notes. Once she gets a hold of it, she immediately zips his bag and runs away.
Mino can't help but smile at Lizels flustered actions. Lizels really into him, that is what his mind could come
Lizels face felt hot, her heart thumping louder and in a rapid pace. Was it because she ran? No, she wouldn't fool anybody not even herself; especially if they saw what just happened.
Lizel finds herself smiling throughout her way home. As she was lying in her bed she then slaps her cheeks to get her grip on reality.
Better get rid of wishful thinking.
'She decides to stop daydreaming that Mino looked at her as if he saw the galaxy in your eyes. He cant even see a single star at Lizel earlier.'
Looking at the window; Lizels cheeks the puffed up and let out air, she stares at the sky wishing the stars would come down and live in her eyes, then perhaps Mino might look at her with pure interest.
As the wind lulls her thoughts to go and drift, a silent prayer escaped its grasp. Maybe the galaxy nor a star can be seen thru her. A shooting star. That's all she wants. A second of thought, that she too is worth of taking interest in.
The next morning as Lizel then enters the classroom, she was surprised that there was no one in the room.
Strange. The classroom President said that their class will start at 7am. Its already 6:45 am and not one soul is there, she then goes to her seat and sees a note on it.
'Meet me where we first met. -Mino'
As much as Lizel would like to feel flutters in her stomach, she got to admit, she felt a cringe first. Lizel didn't expect for Mino to have that side. What is this note for anyway?
Now back to the subject. Where did they first met? Lizel clearly has no idea, she just decided to check the school facilities; library, cafeteria, perhaps the admin office? It took her quite a while, long enough that the class president texted her to go to the gymnasium.
Lizels eyes thinned as she looks at the message. Did they really met first at the gymnasium? Her fingers cover her wrinkled mouth, thinking if that was correct.
As Lizel gets closer to the gymnasium, she saw a head peeking out and went back inside the moment it sees her;
her guts still unsure as to what the note is for. Lizel gets an idea but thats just wishful thinking or is it?
As pull the door and stepped inside, she sees Mino holding a bouquet of flowers getting moving forward to her, some of their classmates holding unto their phones and taking a video of the moment.
Mino then kneeled in front of Lizel, she couldn't utter a single word.
"Lizel, we've been friends for more than a year already, and I think we deserve to be more than that."
Lizels eyes widened and stared at everyone in the gymnasium, some are covering their mouths while on their phone and some looking at her and Mino with and giving her a thumbs up.
Lizel then gets close to Mino and tries to pull him up
"Hey Mino stand u---" Mino then takes her hand
"Lizel Santayo, would you be my girlfriend?"
Everyone in the gymnasium cheered for them, telling Lizel to says yes.
Her face now red from Minos sudden proposal and everyone watching them. Their classmate then shouted
"Lizel, what's your answer?"
The crows then turns dead silent, and Mino still kneeling looked at her with anticipation.
In all honesty Lizel doesn't know what to say.
Lizel nods "Sure Mino, I would like to be your girlfriend."
The crowd then erupts with more cheers and squeals. Mino wearing a smile brimming with happiness took Lizel to his arms and kissed her head.
"You made me the happiest man today Lizel."
Minos confession started and spreaded like wildfire throughout the school webpage and social media. Now all eyes are on them.
As they exited the gymnasium holding hands, Mino was looked through his phone and see that his confession is already skyrocketing and hogging attention. He then turned to Lizel, looking at him with a gaze that melts.
Their thoughts synched at that time.
"Dreams to come true."
