4 Mother

I don't know how long I will be walking. My brother is holding tight of my arm so that I wouldn't get lost in this crowded place. There are high buildings and some food vendors beside the street.

"Where are we going brother?" I ask as I really don't know were will we be headed its really in the middle of the night now as the moon shines so bright in the sky.

"See that small building between two big one's?" He pointed in a direction not so far. As I saw the building I nodded and we continued to walk.

Only a few steps closer and we will reach our destination. As I was about to climb up the stairs to the door someone suddenly screamed. I looked at the direction it came from. I saw a young woman crying as a child lay on the ground lifeless.

"EINE!" My brother called and pulled me in the building

"What happened there?" I asked but my brother is not responding. We are now walking up the stairs.

"Is because I'm not at the Candle room watching everyone's light that it just lights out on itself?" This was in my mind... Why did they make me leave the Candle room now people are gonna die faster... My brother stopped walking and turned around to look at me.

"No..." I was shocked when my brother spoke those words... What does he mean no? But it is my job as a Candle Goddess... Why does things get more complicated when it's getting better...

"What do you mean no?" I asked but he just looked down and sighed then continued to walk... I can't let this moment slip. I have to know what's going on. 

As me and my brother got onto the floor that is our destination I did not hesitate to ask him again. I knew he would ignore me so I stopped walking and asked again.

"Brother..."

"What do you mean no?" He just looked at me but not in the eyes and turned his back on me.

"Eine... I have no right to say what really is happening as I was shocked as I knew about it... I know it's best for you to let mom tell you about it so please let's proceed." As he finished talking he continued to walk... Right now I have no other choice until I see my mother.

*Knock* *Knock* *Knock*

It's the second time my brother knocked on the door. I think I have a bad feeling... Because if there is someone inside that room someone would've already answered.

"Maybe there is nobody-" I was about to finish my sentence when someone opened the door...

My eyes widen as I run towards her and I can feel my tears dripping... I feel so safe within her hug... I feel enlightened for a moment.

"Mother..." I cry.

"Sevan closed the door. Eine come have a seat" My mother said.

I sat on a couch in the middle of the room and my mother sat beside me. She looked at me and held me in my cheeks while wiping my tears.

"It's a good thing you found your Sister earlier than expected Sevan" She said as she put her hands down from my cheeks.

"She actually made a scene that helped me find her" My brother answered.

"How did you guys know I was here?" I ask with confusion.

"We have your candle sweetheart" I lean back from my seat because of what I have heard... What does she mean? How did they get the candle? When did they go to the Candle Room?

"What do you mean?!?" You can imagine how confused my face is as all these things keep coming without answers.

My mother sighed and looked at my brother then gave me her attention.

"I found out something about this world and ours. It wasn't like something we knew. What we have known for a long time is fairly so far from the truth... We the Goddess and Gods are not really what we thought we are... We are also human beings with gifted powers... A person known as Risth took the advantage of every gifted human. He controlled us but then it went smoothly. He found out about the candles and what we thought was needed to do... Or what you thought is really your job is quite far from the truth."

"What do you mean Mother?" I can see in her eyes that she is telling the truth but somehow I couldn't process it in my mind. I looked at my brother and I can also see that mother is telling the truth.

"Eine..." She called for my attention.

"The Candle Room can do its job itself... When its the person time the candle will be put out by itself... The process you do was something great for Risth because even though it's not really a person's time you light them out... You are the one assigned there because you have the ability to have a very amazing interaction with fire. That's why you can easily put out a candle... Risth died a twenty years ago but yet it doesn't end there. He has been reincarnate and he had enough with his power... He wants to have every gifted human's power and to rule the whole world. He want to be immortal to anyone. I know about this... Because Risth is my father but he had gone too far but your father does not believe me. He wouldn't believe it. He already controlled the humans at our place so I have to go here." As my mother explains somehow I can understand most of what is happening... So I'm not a Goddess but a human that has a gift... But what about the death?... 

"But mother... What about the death that father told me? And what are you going to do just sit here while this Risth is making a move?" I ask.

"The person that died was my twin sister... She was already weakening as our father took her powers so she decided to help me and your brother escaped and build up a plan. I know that your father can be driven so badly by his emotions especially if he'll think I was dead. Getting you was the hard part but you did it. On your own you have done good except as when you came to this world you have no clue and so you made a scene. But don't worry that was alright let's just hope they did not track that." She pauses for a moment and looks at my brother. 

"We are going to find the other gifted humans and save them. Hopefully too that they will help us fight my father" She ends her words by kissing me in the forehead.

"The child you saw a while ago laying in the ground is a gifted child. Risth may have been controlling the Candle Room now but with us having our candles he wouldn't know where we might be" My brother said.

"Everything is now clear... Thank you mother... Thank you brother"

"You two must get some rest my child. As both of you will go out tomorrow and look for the other gifted humans. I will somehow look for a safer place for us. A bit far from this place as this is a City and we will have a hard time moving"
