6 Excuses

As my brother went out as Alio said we had arrived home, I looked at Alio still sitting in the driver seat waiting for me to come out of the car.

"Uhmm. Alio?" I ask for his attention.

"Yes Eine? Is something bothering you?" He asked.

"Uhm... Do you have any idea of what is happening to my family?" I ask, looking him in the eye.

Like my brother he looked down sighs and raised his head again and looked at me in the eyes.

"I'm sorry Eine... I'm more off to say anything to you... There is also no right for it to come from me. You know maybe people are just waiting for the right moment to tell you something" He pauses and looks at the steering wheel.

"Ummm... Well if it's fine Eine I have to go for now. I'll come back later I have something to do" He said. 

"Oh right sorry about that... Uhm thank you Alio" I said as I was getting out of the car.

Before I went inside I looked once more to the car and Alio put down his window.

"Just take in everything little by little" He said and smiled before driving.

"Hi, I'm back," I said as I entered the room and Sevan and mother stopped talking. They look at each other and back to me.

"Eine welcome back sweetheart are you okay? Sevan said that you felt someone powerful when you guys where at the location"

"Uhmm yes mother I'm alright..." I answer.

"Uhmm... Mother?" I ask for her attention. I just notice something strange too... She calls me sweetheart but my mother calls me dear.

"Well you and brother Sevan are already here and I want you both to help me understand what is happening" I started. 

"Okay go on" Mother said and signed for me to sit with them in the living room.

"Well ummm... You too haven't been quite clingy like before. Like this Risth thing happened you two suddenly became ummm I the opposite of clingy." I said and my brother suddenly stood up and went into the bedroom.

Then all of a sudden mother is on the phone.

"Uhmm excuse me sweetheart I have to take this phone call" She excuses and exits the living room.

I did not even hear her phone make a sound. Why did they leave me?... Did I do something wrong?

I stood up and went to the bedroom but somehow it's locked. Maybe my brother locked it. I was about to go to the kitchen but then I heard someone speaking inside the room. 

I slowly and carefully put my ear to the wooden door so that I could hear the voice clearly... Yes its brother speaking and I somehow can tell that he is crying. His voice is stuttering as he speaks.

"Mom... Why??? Why does this have to happen... I know you said that I must be strong and protect my sister... I can protect her but... I'm not strong enough to accept what happened to you... I- I can't live with-" I was paying attention to him but then he stopped speaking. I got nervous as he might know I was listening so I carefully stood back and then went to the living room.

I wonder what he was talking about mom. What was the thing he was about to say sigh... 

"We got to go" I was surprised as someone suddenly spoke from behind me. 

"Where are we going?" I ask my brother.

"Alio said that he found another gifted he is with the person but we cannot let Alio handle it himself. Risth may suddenly appear" He explains. 

"Okay let's go" 

We are now in a car but he is the driver and I'm sitting beside him. 

As I look at my brother's face I can tell that he cried as his eyes showed it. The car is silent but I wouldn't want my brother feeling any pain so I did not hesitate to ask.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

He did not answer me but he's facial reaction changed. Somehow he looks like he is trying to stop himself from crying... I wanna hug him but we might get in an accident. 

I'll talk to him later that night.

Right now Alio is the one driving and beside him is my brother. I'm sitting right now with a little girl.

"Uhmm... Hello I'm Eine how bout you?" I ask. She looked at me and just stared at me. It has been moments until she stopped staring. She looked down and back to the road.

"Hi I'm Ria... I know who you are. I saw everything" She replied.

"What do you mean you saw everything?" I asked for confusion but she did not answer. I saw her left eye cry all of a sudden.

"Uhmm Ria are you okay?? Did I do something wrong?" 

"No... No... I'm fine" She smiles and hugs me. I was surprised that she did that. 

"Were here" My brother said.

"Eine we won't be going back to the building that we sleep at" Sevan said when we got out of the car.

"Wait why?? What about mother?" I ask.

"She is already here. Come we have to go before anyone sees us" Sevan said.

I look behind where we will be going but damn it's just trees. I think we are in the woods. I just followed them but somehow still trees.

"Where are we really gonna go?" I ask. I was also getting tired.

"We're close, Eine" Alio answered.

We went inside a cave and somehow a bit deeper there was a door and we entered it. 

As the doors opened my eyes widened as I saw this view... It was the view in my dreams. 

"That is where we will be going" Alio said, pointing to the city down the hill.

"This cave is huge" I said and I heard Ria giggled even Alio.

"We're not in the cave anymore, it's like the gate from where we came from. The gate between our world and the human world." My brother said.

"This world is made by our mother to make us safe while we haven't yet had enough reinforcement to defeat Risth" He added.

We looked at each other before going down the hill.

"I have to split with you both. I have to take Ria to her place," Alio said and left me and my brother.

"I heard you crying" I said slowly to my brother and he stopped walking.

Right now I can hear him snobbing, forcing himself to not cry... I hugged him tight and while hugging him I said.

"Shhh... Don't cry let it all out" As I said those words he cried in my shoulders.

"I have to tell you something" My brother said.
