14 14-One Month Survival (1)

I walked deeper into the island, the island was half of Nabu Island. It seems that the whole island is covered with trees.

I still remember what Yujiro told me

'some of these animals have quirks' - Aska kept his observation haki working as hard as he can make it, he tried to cover as much distance as possible.

After a few minutes, I ran into a snake. The issue is, the snake was as big as a me. I covered my body with lightning cloak and jumped up, the snake wasn't quick at all, I channeled some energy into my right arm, chidori formed in my right hand, the snake tried to climb up the tree I was on, I jumped to a tree adjacent to me. That gave me a good view of the snakes head. I launched myself into the snakes head and struck the top of its head with my chidori. The snake flailed around before it fell from the tree and died. I got up from the ground and started walking again, this time heading back to the shore.

'Alright, lets make sure I have a safe place to sleep. I have all day, I should be able to find somewhere to work as my home base for the month.'

After walking around for a about 30 minutes, I found two big rocks that were leaning on each other, forming a corner shape. I couldn't feel anything around the rock, but I still walked around to make sure this isn't the home of some animal, that would come back while I'm resting. After I made sure it was safe, I decided to find something to eat.

Aska also found a bunch of palm trees ten minute walk from his base with coconut on them. 'Great I have a source of water as well'

I took off my clothes. and put them on a rock nearby and went into the sea, hopefully I can catch something. I dived into the water and swam. I used observation haki to navigate under water. I was able to find a few fish around, I got close to a fish, when I was about six or seven feet away, I concentrated some electricity out of my fingertips and shot the electric shock towards the fish.

I did the same thig a couple of more times, it took me about thirty minutes to catch three medium sized fish, which honestly is really good. I walked back to the rock I was staying in, but then remembered that the smell can attract animals, so I took my fish and walked to the other side of the beach, which was somewhat far away from where I was staying. I gathered some wood and dry grass, I used a spark to light the fire.

I found a stone that looked to be sharp. I used that stone as a knife, I took the fish near the water, and started to gut the fish, it wasn't hard. All I did was open up the stomach and pull out everything inside, and then washed the guts into the sea. After my fish were all clean, I went back to my fire.

I grilled the fish, which tasted good because of how fresh the fish was, but was a little bland, since there were no seasoning.

Anyway once I was done eating I cleaned the area I was in and walked back to my home base.

I tried to explore the island, so I started to walk to the opposite side of my base camp, I tried to stick to the edges of the island, and my observation haki was being pushed to the limit yet again. After about two hours or so of walking I could hear wolf howls from the distance, I took that as a warning and just walked back to my base camp.

'I have no idea what I should do. There is no objective other than survive, but what am I supposed to do? I feel like I'm missing something. I mean I can just survive eating fish and hiding' thought Aska.

I spent the whole day just walking around the edges of the island, it was night time, so I went to my base, I snuggled myself into the corner between the two rocks and tried to fall asleep, but I couldn't.

It was only when I was really tired that I was finally able to fall asleep.

I woke up the next morning when the sun rays hit my face. I was hungry, since all I ate yesterday was just three fish. I decided, I'll do the same thing again. I was able to catch three more fish.

I started walking towards the cooking spot, but after I reached there, I saw four snakes around the area of my fire. They were small in size, unlike the one I saw yesterday. I concentrated lightning energy into my legs and walked near them. one tried to attack my foot, but died from the electricity around my legs. I just stomped the rest.

After I killed the snakes, I couldn't just leave them around so I just threw them into the sea. After that I just had my breakfast.

I wasn't sure what to do next, I started to walk back towards my base, then I saw smoke coming my way. I wasn't sure what that was, but one thing for sure it's not natural.

Using observation haki I could tell there were about ten snakes inside that mist,I activated my lightning cloak, one snake jumped at me from inside the smoke.

I saw that coming, so I was able to dodge it pretty easily.

I didn't want to touch the smoke, since I'm not sure if it's poisons or not, besides that thing is in there, so I stayed outside of the smoke, I slammed my hands on the ground and sent a wave of low voltage electricity.

This move is inefficient But it worked well in this case, since I could hear a bunch of hissing coming from the smoke.

Another snake bigger than the one from last time rushed out of the smoke towards me, I was able to dodge it, I used a chidori and split that snakes head in half.

A couple more came at me, but none of them can harm me.

After I killed 9 out of the 10 snakes inside the smoke, I could feel the last one, it was looking right at me, I could feel it's gaze, but more of it's bloodlust. That thing was massive, the one I fought yesterday looks like a baby compared to it.

This snake was as big as a bus, it could swallow me at any moment. I kept my guard up, the second I relax, it will without a doubt kill me.

My lightning cloak was still on, I was ready to jump at any second, after we had a stare down for a few seconds the snake started moving towards the forest. The smoke seemed to follow the snake. My guess is that last snake has a smokescreen quirk. But I'm not sure if that smoke is poisons or not.

'Since there were other snakes in there it shouldn't be poisonous, but I won't take any chances' Aska thought afterwards he just went back to his base.

After I got to the base, I made some preparations, I covered myself and my clothes with mud from a swamp I found in the forest. I was able to find two more sharp stones, that I also brought with me. I decided to head towards the place where I heard wolves.

After walking for two hours, my observation haki picked up something, I started moving towards it, but ten minutes later, my gut felt like it was twisting

'Did I get bitten by a snake during this morning's fight?'

But then, I knew why my stomach felt like it was twisted, it turns out that's my senses telling me to run.

What I saw made me stop breathing. I saw a black wolf the size of a lion, covered in lightning cloak, but this wolf's cloak was much thicker than anything I can produce, I can feel the raw energy just leaking from that wolf, if that thing decides to kill me, I'll just die before I get the chance to put up a fight.

'If it wanted to kill me then, I'm sure that thing would have killed me long ago'

Then I looked at the bear standing few meters away from the wolf.

It was a bear that had thick brown fur, with streaks of silver here and there. But it was no ordinary brown bear. Just like the wolf, that thing is much bigger than normal bears.

'Are they about to fight?'

I extended my observation haki as far as it can go, there were no animals around. It seems they all ran away from here. I wanted to leave too, but I couldn't waste this chance. 'It seems that mindless animals are smarter than me' Aska thought mocking himself for not leaving.

After what seemed like eternity, both beasts rushed at each other. The wolf was running at a much faster speed than the bear. Aska had to push his sense enhancement to the limit, just so he can see the wolf.

Even though the wolf was faster, the bear was able to keep up.

'They haven't done anything major yet, it seems like they are just sizing each other up' thought Aska who was hiding in a tree near by

Then it began. The bear…teleported? It appeared behind the wolf and slashed at it, but the wolf was able to dodge. Waving its tail, a lightning bolt shot towards the bear, but the bear appeared else where.

'It seems, the bear has teleportation quirk, this place is insane, in the original story we never met any animals with quirks, except for the principle, and he was also insane to some extent. Crap! I never new animals can be this strong!' Aska was watching two animals fight at a much higher level than he ever could.

'And I have to survive here for a month, if either of these two come after me, I'm dead!!' Thought Aska, focusing his attention back to the fight.

The wolf was shooting lightning streaks with every slash with it's paws, the bear dodged all of them easily, and multiple times it appeared close to the wolf to slash it with its claws, but the wolf would dodge.

The area the fight was in, was devastated. Claw marks everywhere, burn marks, knocked over trees, and a few craters around.

The wolf started to attack from higher points, it would jump on trees and bounce on the bear, but something new, happened. Once the wolf started to attack from closer range, there were lightning streaks connecting to the wolf to other spots around the area.

'What is this?' There was a lightning streak close to where Aska was hiding. The streak was touching a tree, but there were no burn marks on the tree. The lightning streak didnt move from where it was touching, even with the wolf moving all over the place.

Looking back at the fight Aska saw the wolf jumping from a tree toward the bear, but the bear teleported right under the wolf midair and aimed its claw towards the wolf.

The wolf seemed to be…teleported? As well?

'WAIT! The wolf shouldn't be able to teleport, what happened?!?!' Aska was really confused.

The fight continued then it happened again. Aska was able to notice it the second time. The wolf appeared at the end of one of those streaks.

'This ability isn't normal!!' Aska was borderline loosing it. He was so engrossed watching the fight, he couldn't even tell how long he's been watching. From excitement Aska's heart was beating faster and faster like it was about to burst.

Aska ignored the fight for a second, and focused on the lightning streak nearby

'It has so much energy, but isn't leaving any burn marks?' After observing it with his observation haki, Aska decided to sense it with his electric sense, since he can feel electric wavelengths.

'It's not far from my original wavelength, but this lightning bolt is wired' after focusing some more Aska can feel that the bolt was hollow on the inside, it was filled with raw energy, but the energy wasn't moving towards the tip of the bolt, it was stationary,

'That's why it feels strong but it doesn't burn. It turns out the the bolt was a tunnel, but I'm still not sure, how can the wolf teleport through those tunnels.'

Aska then started to watch the fight again hoping the wolf would this ability again. But then Aska noticed something,

'When did he get those?!' Aska screamed in his mind

The wolf was running around and his front paws had larger claws made out of lightning.

Aska didn't waste anytime and focused on the wolf more.

'They seem much different from what I do with lightning cloak'

The fight went on for hours, Aska was trying to observe everything, but even observation haki needed to be processed, and with his brain enhanced, he was barely able to undressed what was happening here.

It was almost sunset, and both beasts were injured and nearing complete exhaustion, the wolf isn't using the teleporting streaks, or the claws anymore, and the bear wasn't teleporting around as much.

After that, they stopped, both the bear and the wolf were bleeding from all over. They started to circle around each other, it seems they want to end it, but they aren't sure if they should put all of their remaining energy into killing the other party or not.

A few minutes later they started to put distance between them, then the bear looked to the distance, and disappeared. I assume he teleported to wherever he was looking.

The wolf looked at my direction. 'Shit, will it fight me or what, I may be able to run away from it, if it's in this condition, but I'd still get injured'

It stared at my direction for a few seconds, then it turned around and walked away.

After it was out of my observation haki range, I ran towards my base as fast as I can. I wanted to make it before it got dark.

While running, Aska's brain was a mess

'Damn, that was crazy, if the wolf wasn't exhausted at the end, I would have died. That thing is massive, fast, and it has insane abilities.'

After He got back to the base, He walked to the sea, washed his clothes, and himself off of the mud he was till thinking about the fight. After he dives in the cool water, he was able to compose himself a bit.

'The bear is obviously a little weaker, but that doesn't mean it's actually weak. As for the wolf, that thing is crazy. It's nowhere near as big as the snake from this morning, but I know the wolf can kill that snake in seconds'

Aska spend hours analyzing anything and everything he saw today, after considering everything he knew about the snake, the bear and the wolf, he made an order of the weakest to strongest and compare what level he's on.

'If the smoke snake from this morning, can only produce harmless smoke, then I can beat it. Using observation haki, I can fight even with my eyes closed. But the bear is something I can't fight just yet. After Aska was done analyzing he realized it was late at night and he needed to sleep after Aska snuggled in the corner, he closed his eyes, but the only thing he could do was think about the fight he saw earlier.

This chapter is a 1000 words more than usual. I wanted to wrap up the beast island training in four chapters or so, so I decided to write longer chapters for this arc.

I'm writing ahead, and I'm already done with the island training, so which martial arts should the MC learn?
