13 Section A

When Asher got home, he received a text from the Elite program saying that there had been a change and that they were to head to the airport the next day with their things ready. They were informed to carry their clothes and property.

When he saw the text, it spelled only one thing, and that was that he was leaving tomorrow. When he showed the text to his mum, she hugged Asher while crying, she knew that he would be leaving tomorrow. She wished that she had more time to spend with him.

The next day, Asher got to the airport with his mum, and she came to see him off.

"Mum you know that the alliance takes care of the family members of their students. So you should stop working and relax." Asher said as they stood together.

"Hmph, you think that I am getting old right?"

"No. It's not like that mum, just I want you to take time to enjoy yourself. You spent all your life taking care of me, so now at least enjoy something from me."

As they spoke, the announcement for the flight came. They would be going to the Elite academy in section A, that was where they would spend three years of their life training.

Asher gave his mum a bear hug, squeezing the air out of her lungs.

"Stop, you will kill this old woman," she complained playfully.

Asher let go of her, he took his bags. "Mum I promise I'll come back."

"Do you have a choice? If you don't come back, I'll go to the underworld and find you, when I do I'll beat the hell out of you. "

Asher chuckled, forcefully turning away. As he walked to get to his flight, tears streamed down his cheek. Call him a crybaby or whatever, his mum was the only person who loved him even when he was a pathetic piece of shit.

"Mum when I get back I'll find Dad and drag him to your feet, I'll make him apologize," Asher swore as he walked.

When he got on board the plane, he noticed Lily sitting alone, everyone here was still wary of her. Asher came to her side, sitting down beside her.

Lily was shocked when someone sat beside her, but when she saw it was Asher, she calmed down.

"Good morning." Asher greeted casually.

"Morning" she responded in her usual low tone. "How's your arm" she followed up.

"It's good, my mum patched it up for me," Asher said while rotating his arm.

Lily nodded when she heard Asher's response. "What do you think the academy will be like?" She asked.

"I can't say, but am guessing it will be good."

"uhm, I guess so. " Lily said.

As they spoke, an announcement came from the speakers.

"Welcome on board, this is your pilot speaking. This flight's destination is Section A, please put on your seatbelts and have a wonderful flight."

The plane took off smoothly and they were in the air. The journey took a few hours. Asher spent his time chatting with Lily.

When the plane entered the air space of section A, it was as if they had entered a different world entirely. The buildings they saw from above could not be compared with what was found in section C.

The plane touched down on the runway, moving for a small distance before coming to a stop. They all disembarked from the plane, going to check-in.

Once they were all done, the two hundred of them were met by four uniformed elites in the waiting section.

"Welcome to Section A, the place where you will be having your training. Now if you don't mind, all of you follow me." A blond man in a black uniform spoke, before turning and walking

The other three men followed behind the men, the students followed as well.

As they walked, Asher saw Nathan, so he told Lily he would be back and then walked to Nathan.

"Hey Nathan," Asher said as soon as met him

"What do you want?" Nathan said in a flat and cold tone.

"What's with the attitude, it's not like we are enemies" Asher spoke. " You are pretty good so I wanted to get acquainted."

"I am not here to make friends," Nathan said.

"Sheesh, talk about an attitude," Elsa said while floating in a relaxing manner beside Asher.

"Ok, but at least we can spar with each other from time to time if we have an opportunity. You are quite good and your combat method is good against mine, so I wanted to fight with you more to improve. "

Nathan looked at Asher for some seconds before speaking." Ok, we can be sparring partners, I want to get stronger, so fighting you would help. "

"Good, so we will talk about it more when we get to the academy. "Asher said.

Nathan simply responded with a nod.

Asher left him, going back to meet Lily. Soon they stepped out of the airport. Four luxurious buses stood waiting at the entrance of the airport. Each one of the elites took the driver's seat in one of the buses, and the students all entered the buses.

Asher and Lily sat beside each other on the bus. The buses drove off, heading for the academy. On the way most of the students looked through the windows, admiring the high-tech city. This was the capital of section A, the most advanced city in the whole alliance.

Asher and Lily were not excluded, as the beauty of the city was impossible to ignore. The shiny buildings, outstanding streets, and all. For that moment, they all forgot that this was a world plagued by beasts.

The busses drove for about half an hour, coming to the academy. The academy was exceedingly large, with different buildings scattered inside the compound. It looked like some sort of futuristic university.

The busses passed through the automatic gates, driving into the academy and then heading to the parking lot. As they parked, the students knew that their time here had officially begun.
