6 Azazel's New Kid(Rewrite)

(Akeno is going to be older by the start of cannon. By at least 5 years meaning she would be 23 when the original story starts. Same with Kurayami.)

After Raynare started to live with them it made the house more cheerful. She was a kind girl and it seemed Shuri was thinking of how she would look in the future. Shuri did not have any bad intentions, but her view on marriage was different from modern people

She was only 26 at the moment as in the Himejima clan it was not uncommon to engage kids very young She was only 18 when she met Baraqiel after all and was already looking for someone to marry Kurayami too.

He had no idea what she was planning as even in his first go at life he never dated or had anyone he was close to. The closest thing he had to family was Harold and his 5 pet dogs before they died. He was very lonely during his crusade against evil.

It was not all bad as at the time he did not have the idea to have friends. He was far too focused on his crusade, but he wondered what had occurred to that world. He knew the war was in full swing, but he never bothered to check up on it.

He stopped reminiscing as it was not a good memory. Instead, he focused on his daily life as he was busy. For the next month, Kurayami, and Akeno spent a large amount of their time training at Grigori.

Now however they had Raynare along with them which made things more interesting. She was not the strongest as they had 4 years of training on her, but she had the drive to improve.

Kurayami noticed that from time to time she struggled to control her sacred gear as she was still fearful of it, but she was getting better. She had two people who were motivators for her to improve.

Usually, Azazel personally trained them, but he had not been here for a week. It was kind of odd as Azazel never missed a chance to train them. He also loved to study Kurayami's and Raynare's sacred gears.

At the moment they had Penemune and Armaros helping them, but they too had noticed.

Currently, Kurayami was sitting on a bench while drinking an energy drink. When he finished it, he turned to Armaros.

"Hey, Armaros where is Azazel?"

The large Fallen shook his head as he had no idea.

"I got no clue, we have not seen him for a while. He said he had something to do."

Penemune thought about it and had a few ideas.

"Well, he either found a new sacred gear he wants to study, an interesting kid, or something in between. Now my question is how are you 8.

She hugged him from behind and pushed her large chest on the back of his head. He did not react at all so he kept talking as normal.

"Well, I hope he brings something useful."

She let go of him as she was not going to get a reaction out of him. She turned her attention to Raynare and Akeno who were sprawled on the ground exhausted. They had great stamina, but it was not comparable to Kurayami.

The night of his death, he had murdered hundreds of men, and all of their soul essence and Life Essence had been absorbed by him. It had made him recover quickly even now.

On top of that, the more he used his Longinous the faster he drew his talent out. Armaros clapped to get their attention and they all turned to look at him.

"Well, I can see you have not been slacking. Raynare you are a month in and you have had considerable improvement."

She got off the ground and sat down.

"Thank you."

He turned to Akeno and as he was in charge of the anti-magic he knew a lot about magic. To counter magic you had to know magic.

"Akeno, your new spear is both a melee weapon and staff. I can see how it makes your spells easier to use and more powerful. This is both good and bad. Try to produce as many magic spells you can make without it as with it."

"Ok."

Both Raynare and Akeno got off the ground and walked to sit next to Kurayami. Just as the old saying goes, speak of the devil and he shall appear. In this case, the Fallen Angel as Azazel was back and he entered the training room.

He looked at the three of them and smiled.

"I am back. Did you miss me?"

Kurayami launched a weak flaming spear of light that Azazel dodged. He looked away acting as if he had done nothing wrong.

"As if."

Azazel held his chest like he was hurt.

"After all, I have done for you. Not only did I offer you the best training possible, but I even made you never-before-seen weapons. Oh, the pain."

Raynare raised her hand to get his attention.

"Where were you? We were worried. Even Kurayami was wondering about you. If you died he would lose his only friend."

Akeno nodded.

"He is lonely without you."

They were not wrong as Azazel truly was his sole friend. He even said as much.

"Well at least you are alive, now what did you bring? A kid, a sacred gear, both, or some interesting metal."

Azazel grinned.

"Yes to the first two. The reason I was gone was him."

He pointed behind him where a small kid younger than they were. He had silver hair and looked a little lifeless. Kurayami looked from him to Azazel with his usual blank expression.

"What sacred gear he got?"

Azazel grinned.

"Vali, introduce yourself."

Vali walked closer and bowed politely.

"Names Vali. The White Dragon Emperor."

Kurayami felt his sacred gear flare up and wanted to turn him into cinders. Even Vali's very being was telling him to get away from Kurayami at this moment.

"You're a Half Devil right?"

Vali nodded as he backed away from Kurayami.

"You have a holy-related sacred gear don't you?"

Akeno was surprised he figured it out.

"How did you know? Kurayami did not even do anything."

"Instinct."

Kurayami realized why. His very race was setting off alarm bells in Vali's head.

'Makes sense.'

"Yes, it wants me to kill you."

Vali looked at Raynare who stopped hiding. Gaining more power had begun to bring her out of the shell she had built.

"I am Raynare. I have Blaze Black Flames, a Vritra sacred gear."

Akeno bowed with a smile.

"I am Akeno, his twin sister."

Vali hummed before leaving. Seeing that made Kurayami look at Azazel who looked a little troubled.

"Where did he come from? He is kind of prickly."

"His name is Vali Lucifer. A descendant of the original Lucifer."

That got their attention as any descendent of a powerful being with sacred gear was going to have potential.

"So he is like me. I have a Longinus, but my father is a Cadre."

Azazel nodded.

"Exactly. He is the great-grandson of the original Lucifer granting immense potential. I say you got more than him though."

Penemune stretched a bit causing her huge breasts to stick forward, but no one gave her attention. Not even Azazel.

"Well, I say today's lesson is done with. You are the one who does all the training for them after all."

Armaros followed behind.

"I got an anime to watch. If you want to spar find me."

When they were finally gone Azazel started to check up on the progress they had and it was within expectation. All of them improved, as expected but it seemed that Akeno for some reason did better than Raynare.

It was odd as Raynare was using her Sacred Gear and she had just begun training when fast improvement was expected. Yet, for some odd reason, Akeno not only kept up but also exceeded Raynare's progress. Even after training since she was 4 her growth had not stagnated.

That was all thanks to the mutation her bloodline underwent when she came in contact with Kurayami's soul. It made her have more talent than she should have had.

Now after a month, Raynare, wondered if she should tell Azazel who her grandfather was. Also, she wanted to know more about him as she had little to go off of.

"Azazel. Have you ever met, Azrael?"

When he heard that name Azazel remembered him. The Angel of Death himself was the strongest Angel to have ever been made by God. And when he joined Grigori, he was a respectful guy, but he was terrifying.

"He was crazy strong, but he was not a monster as he kept to himself even after falling. I only met him a few times and he was quite talkative. His eyes were a bright yellow and his sclera were black."

Azazel thought about the rumors about his location after he vanished after the Great War.

"It is said he is left for Cocytus or Tartarus, but those are just myths. He is alive for sure, but we have no clue where. Why?"

Raynare decided to say it as Azazel had been helping her this whole time.

"My dad said that Azrael was his dad. So, he is my grandpa."

Azazel who did not know looked at her with pure shock. No wonder she was growing so strong in just a month.

"Did you inherit his power? He could use death magic and it was terrifying. Even Angels would be reduced to dust who he hit with that scythe of his."

She nodded.

"I think so, but I try to avoid it."

Azazel decided to ask the question he had been avoiding.

"How did your parents die?"

She looked sad, but it was time to come clean.

"I don't know. Something with my power and my flames."

Azazel knew that Viritra's flames were some of the strongest around. Combine that with Azrael's power then what would be the effect he understood it was a clash of her powers.

"I see. I am sorry I brought it up, but on another note if you are his granddaughter you need to grow stronger. Having more of Vritra's soul shards will help you grow stronger and more stable. It might even awaken him again. Do you think you can take the other two?"

Raynare thought about it as much as she could. She was still 8, but she nodded.

"I think so."

Azazel smiled before laughing,

"How much luck did I have to spend in my life to get four monster kids? Someone pinch me."

Kurayami sneakily moved next to him before reaching out and giving him the monster of all pinches.

"OWWWW!"

Kurayami let go of him with his eyes glowing brightly.

"You said to pinch you."

Azazel frowned.

"Thanks, thank you very much."

"You're welcome."

Raynare now asked a question.

"Can I get a special weapon too?"

Azazel was going to say yes, but he first had to know what would be the best weapon for her.

"Come to a bigger training room. We need to see what would be the best weapon for you. This type will stay with you for life."

The three of them followed him to a training room with many weapons. Azazel pointed at the weapon racks. Raynare's eyes went right to the scythe, which called to her.

"Even if you have never used one just try them and we will see what you have the most talent. I see you want the scythe, but let's leave that for last."

She got a sword first and swung it around the dummies with the basics of an armature. Azazel knew the sword was not the best for her.

"Try another."

She tried the hammer, flail, spear, whip, club, and ax until she finally got to the scythe they knew she found. She could move like she had one in her hand since she was born. Azazel looked like he was not surprised.

"Old man Azreal was an expert scythe wielder, so it must run in the family."

She was sad and shook her head.

"Dad was not talented at all. He said that he was weak compared to Grandpa."

Azazel was a little surprised. Usually the more direct the relationship the better, but it seems the talent skipped a generation in her case.

"Well in any case we are going to give you the other Viritra sacred gears. Are you ready?"

She looked nervous hearing it.

"Will it hurt?"

Azazel shook his head.

"You might feel a little overwhelmed as they all have parts of Viritra's soul, but you will not feel a thing."

She grabbed Kurayami's sleeve.

"Ok."

Akeno frowned at that as she did not hold her.

"I am here too."

Azazel shook his head at this and made a joke.

"Hey, kid. You're gonna put a ring on her."

Raynare and Akeno were children and were confused.

"Ring?"

As for Kurayami, he tilted his head.

"I don't make jewelry and why would I?"

Once again, his high IQ and low EQ worked badly together. But three decades of suffering did not let him express himself much. Azazel frowned.

"I meant to marry her."

Kurayami's eyes began to lose their glow.

"Why?"

"Your mom wants to find you a bride. Didn't you know Himejima tradition?"

"No, I don't."

"Well, Himejima men are expected to be engaged by the time they are 14, and married by age 18. You seriously didn't know?"

"No, I didn't. Will Akeno get engaged too?"

Akeno no longer looked happy too much.

"I don't want to. She won't force me right?"

Azazel shook his head.

"Relax, this only applies to the boys."

Akeno sighed in relief.

"Scared me for a minute there, good luck."

Raynare shook her head embarrassed.

"Stop, no more embarrassing talk."

Azazel relented.

"Fine then. Come along for now."

As they walked Raynare blushed as she looked at the back of Kurayami's head.

'Marriage? Do I like him? I don't right? Do I?'

As for Kurayami, the thought did not pass in his mind. For now, they followed Azazel to his lab where they were going to give Raynare the other sacred gears. When they arrived the sacred gears were stored in two black lanterns as they were not physical.

"Hold these."

She held both lanterns and he pushed two buttons on them. The two black burning willow wisps entered her chest and made her pass out on the spot. She was caught by Kurayami and Akeno so she did not hit the ground.

Azazel assured them she would be fine.

Don't worry It's just a side effect of the soul of Viritra fusing. She will wake up in a few hours."

They laid her on a couch and looked over her.

"Which were those?"

Azazel smiled at that.

"Delete Field and Shadow Prison. We will look for the others and give them to her. You already know how it works right?"

He nodded.

"Which is fine, as long as she gets all of them to bring back Vritra."

Akeno looked at both of them confused.

"How does it work?"

Azazel smiled and ruffled Kurayami's hair as he ignored Akeno's question a little.

"Don't worry about that, she will get all 6. On another note, how I would like to have a son like you. Minus the depression."

Kurayami shrugged.

"I can see that."

Akeno smiled as she ruffled his hair on her tipie toes.

"His eyes are just fine. They glow when he is happy and darken when he is mad."

Azazel shrugged.

"Well, I will take my leave. You two can stay here if you want."

After he was gone Kurayami stuck around waiting for Raynare to wake up. She was snoring loudly and seemed peaceful. Akeno in the end fell asleep and had her head on his lap.

'Marriage? What is marriage? I know what it is, but not why. Do you know Rebellion?'

'No.'

He just stared at Raynare for nearly 4 hours until she woke up. Dull yes, but his mind was thinking of his Mother. Why did she want to marry him off? What that just her culture or something?

Regardless, when Raynare woke up she stretched and yawned. She felt a gaze on her and moved her eyes. She woke up right to Kurayami's hollow eyes. She would have freaked out if she hadn't been around him for a month.

"You stare."

"My bad."

Raynare shook her head with a yawn.

"It's fine, but try to smile."

He tried to smile, but it came out weird and fake.

"You really can't smile on command. You only smile when you don't notice."

She got up and felt great.

"What did you see in your dream?"

She thought about it and she had seen something.

"I had a dream where I saw black and purple scales, surrounded by flames. I don't think it is enough to wake up Viritra, but maybe in the future he will."

"Possibly, but you have great potential without him anyway."

Suddenly her stomach rumbled.

"I am hungry."

He looked down at Akeno and gently nudged her awake. When she woke up she was drooling and wiped off her spit.

"I am awake."

Kurayami stood up and walked out.

"I know. Let's eat spicy tofu."

They were curious as they never had it.

"Is it good?"

He nodded and prepared for his small prank.

"Let's go."

When they went to get something to eat and got some they looked at it like it was the spawn of Satan. It was bright red and looked like lava, but he got a spoon and just began to eat. They watched as he just ate it spoonful after spoonful like it was nothing.

However, they saw he was steaming and his face was rosy red. Raynare sniffed it and felt her nose just burn.

"How can you eat this?"

Akeno answered that.

"He loves spicy food, but how do I eat this."

He looked at her and pointed at the rice.

"Eat it with rice. It lowers the spice."

As he ate she did as he suggested. Raynare shrugged and tried the same thing. When they ate it they regretted it.

"IT BURNS!"

Both girls ran away as they looked for water while he stayed back.

"More for me."

He took their food and began to take his time. Both of them came back in 5 minutes with ice cream. They were unhappy to have fallen to such a cruel trick, but he was still eating.

Raynare was extra unhappy.

"Happy that you tricked me?"

He looked at her while finishing her plate.

"I didn't trick you. It's not that spicy."

Akeno pointed at him.

"You are steaming right now."

After he was done they just ate her ice cream while pouting. They left and walked around while both Akeno and Raynare tried to get their mouths to stop burning. As for Kurayami, he was more than happy with his food. Wished it was more spicy too.
