Xue Guangxi recovered consciousness on a hospital bed. His head burned and throbbed like it will split into two any minute.

'Give me painkillers. Please.'

He felt the pain first before he could open his eyes. He saw the blinding white light reflected through whitewashed walls first before he could recognize the place. 'Ugh… Hospital.'

'What the hell happened?'

Before he could remember the last moments if he was awake, he heard familiar voices around him. People he knew well were talking inside his private ward, at the bottom of his bed.

His father and older sister were discussing how to handle the situation.
