They stopped in town first and checked out some stalls. "What are we doing here?" Su Jingjing was beyond perplexed. "You said we'll be going to your company's celebration!"

"You're going in that garb?" Yang Haoran nodded at her attire.

"It doesn't matter! I shouldn't have trusted you!" She turned to the stall's door to flee. Yang Haoran put a tight clasp on her elbow. "I thought you desperately want to talk to Xue Guangxi?" He whispered in a velvety voice.

Su Jingjing balled her fists. He was right. Initially, she decided against his help but then… his offer was quite tempting. 'I would do everything in my power to clear my name with Xue Guangxi. Whatever it takes! If there's a shortcut… Then…' That was what she had thought when she accepted this cunning man's offer.

And this was what she was still pondering on as she stayed rooted inside the branded clothing stall they entered together.
