5 CHAPTER FOUR

-SIX YEARS

Six years have passed since then they, the Higher ups and the Elite, demolished the library. I have got the newest Outer Wall Newspaper it read:

EXPANSION OF THE INNER WALL

100 MILES OUT WARD

The Higherup- Captain Shishkai

The Elite and Higherups are expanding the Inner Wall a 100 miles out ward. Thank you for your corporation.

"Rune look at this." handing him the paper.

"Well crap, look at that he survived." he said with a laugh, "We could head over to my brothers place."

"Talon? Really?" I say.

"Who?" said Niko as she yawns.

"Well it's about 20 miles from where we are so lets go to his place." he said

"Ok may as well we need a decent place to stay, for all we have lived in a old shack." I said.

"Who??" she said and looked at us in confusion but ignored her."

4 HOURS LATER

"Im hungry." Niko said

"Ok Rune we should stop for a break for a few minutes." I said

"Okay, and eat some food." Rune said, "We should be there in about 5 more hours. We already hiked 10 and we'll stop and rest for about an hour."

"Ok" I said

We rested for an hour. And started off. After a few minutes.

"Unime." Niko said.

"Ya?" i replied halfheartedly.

"Whos Talon?" she asked

"Hes Runes brother. Come on we need to catch up with Rune." I said back.

Me and Niko run up to catch up to Rune.

"Hey are you ok?" I ask him

"Why you say?" he says

"Because you look sad." I tell him.

"Oh… it's nothing" he smiles at me, and I blush and turn my head, "Is this better?"

I laugh and reply, "Ya.", then there was an awkward silence between us.

"Hey, when we get there I need to show you something. Kay?" he says with a smile hiding something.

"Umm. ok." I say back.

Then a ball full of complains from Niko, "I'm hungry. My feet hurt. When will we stop? I'm tired. How much longer wandering around in a forest? I want cake. Give me cake. Do you have cake?"

Oh my god does she ever shut up. It's been only three hours of walking geez. The forest was beautiful and peaceful, the warm summer breeze was nice as well.

"Well rest here for an hour and sleep. Ok" Rune says

I yawn and drop my bag to the shade of the trees and lay down and use it as a pillow.

"Yay! Finally." Niko says.

She curls up using her bags as a pillow as well.

"I will keep first watch okay Unime."

"Ok" I say already eyes closed

I feel Rune sitting a few feet away from me leaning on a tree, watching out for people. Then I slowly drift to sleep. I dreamed about a girl being kidnapped by the upper class vampires and she tossed her two swords at me. Then I woke up and I sat up. Rune looked startled at me.

"Umm… you ok?" he asked.

"Ya its- it's nothing, I'll tell you later." I said back shaking my head.

"Okay." Rune said back confused.

"We better get going if we want to make it there by noon."

"Ok." still confused what happened.

I get up and walk over to wake Niko.

"Niko wake up." I say. Niko snores on. "NIKO WAKE UP!" I yelled shaking her awake.

"Wha- wha im up im up." she says deeply confused and lost in thought.

"Come on let's go." I say to her.
