2 Prologue

The atmosphere in the office is filled with anxious tension. The seven boys seated at the table are wrapped up in their own thoughts. While thinking one would bounce his leg in worry. "Could you stop please? It's really annoying" a blue haired boy asked the leg bouncer. The leg bouncer, a boy with dark brown hair gave a sheepish smile, stopped bouncing his leg and looked down at the table. Right then the office door opened and their boss Jintao Lee walked in. He seated himself at the table opposite the boys.

He had big eye bags under his eyes and looked like he could fall asleep at any moment. These last couple of months were very stressful with all the near accidents and mishaps. Just this Morning Xavier almost got crushed by a stage lamp that came down out of nowhere. Just the day before they were all checked and found in perfection condition, plus the screws were all sturdy and tightly secured. How the hell could that lamp fall? he asked himself for the millionth time. While these thoughts run through his mind he looks at the light brown haired boy, Xavier. If Kaiden hadn't shoved him out of the way in time a real disaster would have happened. Jintao switches his gaze to Kaiden who looks up at that moment and locks eyes with him. "Thank you Kaiden for your quick thinking this morning. If you weren't there... I don't know what ...." Jintao chokes on his words as tears form in the corners of his eyes. These boys are like my sons. I can't lose them.

"N-No P-Problem" Kaiden stutters and gives Jintao his bunny smile "Anyone would have done it". The other six boys chuckle and Xavier says "I wouldn't know about that, but I'm glad your reflexes are what they are. Otherwise I, world-wide handsome wouldn't be here right now. So again from the bottom of my heart thank you". This statement lightened the mood a little and made Jintao smile at himself. He was proud of his seven boys. They are standing tall even when someone is trying to bring them down. "Ok. So back to business. Because of the events of the last months it's safe to say that someone from within the company is trying to sabotage you. Unfortunately we don't know who it is or if it's just one person or more. Nor do we know why he/she or they are doing it. So because of this I would like to ask you to inform your families about the "danger" and get them to travel to some place where no one knows where they are" Jintao stops speaking and takes a deep breath preparing to say more but Adam interjects and asks "What about us?". Jintao smiles a little smile at the question. Just like he expected, Adam the leader gets straight to the point.

"I'll get to that, but first I have to make a confession. I've been keeping a big secret from you, not to hurt you but to protect the identity of someone. Back when your all were still trainees and making your very first album, I hired a very young but highly talented choreographer who would be solely responsible for the dances of Light 7, you guys. The father was adamant we keep the identity secret because of the age. I know you all thought your dance instructor made the dances but he got them on tape and learned them to teach to you. Any changes would be fed back to the choreographer so they could approve. I'm really sorry I had to lie to you but once you meet this person you'll hopefully understand why I did what I did" Jintao finishes and looks apologetic at each of them hoping they would forgive him for this sin. He can see clear confusion and hurt on their faces and he doesn't blame them. "So wait. What changed? Why can we know about this now?" Jay asks confused. Jay looks at Jintao expectantly for an answer, Jintao swallows the lump in his throat and answers "Because everything has changed now due to all the near accidents and mishaps. I'm not going to tell you where this person lives but their house is big enough for seven extra people so you're going to live there for the foreseeable future. We, the company, have decided that your next albums release, which was just finished, will be delayed. I don't know for how long, but this gives you time to go there and learn the dances straight from the choreographer and their dancers instead of your dance instructor. They already have the songs which require dances and the last I heard was that almost all have a dance finished for it. We still need to come up with a plan to get you out of the country unnoticed. I'll handle that. For now I suggest you guys go home and inform your families and then relax or whatever you want to do. I also would suggest to pack right away so you can leave at any time. This can change really quickly" Jintao says while he gets up and opens the door for the boys. One by one they get up and file out of the office. When they are out of the office they turn to him and bow and bid their farewell. "Adam, I'll text you once I've got more information" Jintao tells him, he bows too and says goodbye. He closes the door and goes to his liquor cabinet and pours himself a decent amount of whiskey. He sits behind his desk and takes a healthy sip, he keeps the drink in his mouth for a couple of seconds before swallowing. He sighs deep when he feels the burn in his throat. Once it fades he makes a few phone calls to get his team together so they can come up with a plan.

Meanwhile the boys take the elevator down to the garage to take the car home. They split themselves between two cars and silently make their way home. "Anyone hungry? Want me to cook dinner when we get home" Xavier asks his car companions. He figures when one of them wants dinner he doesn't have to text Adam to asks them if they're hungry. He's seated with Jay and Tyler. Adam, Vere, Kaiden and Quinn share the other car. "You know Kaiden will want to have dinner" Tyler says chuckling. Xavier laughs and shakes his head. 'Tyler is right. I'll cook kaiden's favorite, after all he saved me today. It's the least I can do.' The car gets silent again and not another word is being said.

In the other car however is a very heated discussion happening. It's three against one, which isn't fair normally but Adam is so used to it, it doesn't phase him in the least. Of course Vere, Kaiden and Quinn band together. It's always those three against the rest. Sometimes they are joined by Jay or Tyler. Funnily Never Xavier, He stays mostly neutral during these discussions. "But Adam, why do we need to pack right away? I don't want to leave. I say we rebel and lock ourselves in. Then we can stay. They won't be able to get us on a plane" Vere whines. Kaiden and Quinn agree quickly with Vere and are quite impressed with his idea. "You and I know that won't solve anything. Maybe the next near accident happens at home. What do you suggest we do when that happens?" Adam retorts with a serious face. Quinn looks down after he hears Adams logical reply and scolds himself internally for not thinking of it himself. His mind is made up and he'll do whatever the company wants him to do. He focuses on the world outside of the car and watches it zoom past him. That's how it feels, everything is on fast forward, not just double speed, more like quadruple and he's powerless to stop it.

"But what happ.." Kaiden starts but he gets interrupted by Adam, he's tired and just wants to rest so this conversation is testing his limit. "No. I'm done with this. You pack your bag as soon as possible. It doesn't have to be tonight but before Saturday your bags are packed. Understood?" The two boys grumble but don't say anything more and the atmosphere turns gloomy in the car. Both slump in their seat and shoot angry glares at Adam, but also at Quinn. The two boys realize their bandmate had his attention elsewhere. Vere doesn't know what happened with his best friend but he is intent on finding out once they reach their home. The rest of the ride is silent.

After 30 more minutes of a very heavy silence hanging in both cars the boys finally reach their home. They get out , grab their belongings and head inside. Xavier heads towards the kitchen to get started on dinner. Vere and Kaiden go to Kaiden's room to play some videogames. Jay seeks his bed and plops face down on the pillow. It only takes a few minutes and he is asleep. Tyler stops just inside the door and hesitates. He doesn't know if he wants to sleep or to create some songs to get his frustration out. He shits from leg to leg, then he takes the hallway where his studio is. Creating songs it is. Adam heads to his room to start packing. He feels better when he knows he's properly prepared for the unexpected. He knows you can never be prepared for the unexpected but being packed up will help him ease his mind. Being the leader of a seven member group is very taxing to say the least. But he is not complaining, he loves what he does. And he knows the other six love it as much.

Quinn goes to the bathroom. The best way for him to think and destress is taking a shower, so that is what he's going to do. He strips himself of his clothes and gets in the shower. He lets the water flow over him and his mind calms down so he can think a little more clearly. 'When I'm done with the shower I'll call my parents. I'll miss them more. Stupid how it works but the thought of them being somewhere else and me not knowing where they are makes me miss them more. One or two tears leave my eyes but they get washed away immediately. I'm happy my parents at least are each other's soulmate. They can comfort each other when I can't talk to them, or see them. I can't even tell them where I'll be because I don't know myself. I hope I'll find my soulmate so he/she can comfort me when I need it. Fate is kind giving everyone a soulmate, but at the same time it is cruel to. Cruel with how you get the soulmate mark. One of the two will get the mark when they first kiss. As far as I know there is no fixed way. It's not just the females who will get it with the first kiss, or just the males. It's completely random. It depends on the person I think. I don't know of course. To complete the bond between two soulmates you have to say 'I love you'. More specifically the one without the first kiss soul mark has to say it to the one with the first kiss soul mark. Then the bond becomes complete and they can see each other's soulmate mark. Before completing the bond the only person who can see the soulmate mark is the person on whos body it is. This makes it tricky. You could tell someone you received the mark after the first kiss but there won't be any visible proof to back it up. And it became a requirement with the first date. Kiss at the end to see if it is worth chasing your date. This came to live because there are no other signals to locate your soulmate. Just the first kiss. Like I said, cruel. You won't be unhappy if you can't find your soulmate, but with finding them your life becomes so much richer. At least that is the case with my parents. That's what I want. I hope I can find it.' Quinn finishes his shower and gets out. He dries himself and puts on clean underwear. He wraps the towel around his neck and gets out of the bathroom. He closes the door behind him and turns towards his room. When he is faced the right way he freezes on the spot.

There is an unknown girl standing there. She has her back to him so she hasn't seen him yet. "Fuck why did I leave my phone in my room" he quietly scolds himself. Unfortunately he isn't quiet enough and the girls heard him. She turns around slowly, while Quinn is slowly moving backwards to get as much space between them. Once she sees him her eyes get really big and she screams "OMG shirtless Quinn". She claps her hands excitedly and starts moving towards him. He keeps backing up never leaving her out of his sight. These things are really unpredictable and he doesn't want to let it get that far. Her progress towards him is still slowly so the distance between them stays the same and when he least expects it she picks her speed up and runs straight at him. This makes him panic and he stumbles so his progress to get away from her is halted. Getting his feet right takes a couple of seconds he really can't miss backing up, which he does right away. Then he trips over something on the floor and lands on the floor on his back. He hears the girl laugh at his misfortune that turned into her favor. Before he can get up, she jumps on him and straddles his waist. Next her hands are all over him, feeling him up and the expression on his face turns from horror to disgust. He tries to grab her hands to push her off of him but she pulls them away every time he gets close. Meanwhile she leans forward and gets really close to his face. Noses almost touching, and she keeps inching closer. He is certain she wants to kiss him. He definitely doesn't want to kiss her and find out if she is his soulmate. Quinn is quite sure he dislikes her with his whole heart. Who does these things. Harassing people in their own home. At the last moment he turns his head so her lips touch his cheek. It's the lesser of two evils, but if he had his way those lips never would have touched him. Growing more frustrated and angry at the situation he is in. He expels his breath with a yell and pushes her off him. He jumps to his feet right away and takes a few steps away from her. She is in a heap on the floor, stunned. She never thought he would throw her of him that way. It hurts her pride, after all he is her bias. The girl shrugs the hurt off of her and tries to untangle her limbs to get up. Finally standing again in front of him, she reaches a hand out to him but he takes more steps away from her seeing her arm reaching for him. Hurt flickers in her eyes but she masks it right away so Quinn isn't sure he even saw it. She opens her mouth to say something but she get tackled by their main bodyguard, Si-Woo. Quinn gets engulfed in arms from his members who came to his rescue. What actually happened was, Xavier was in the kitchen cooking dinner and right at the moment when he took the pan of the stove he got the scare of his life. "OMG shirtless Quinn" screamed in a very high and very female voice made him drop the pan. Bye bye dinner, as it spreads on the kitchen floor. 'Take out it is' he thinks to himself before leaving the kitchen while contacting Si-Woo. The others also heard the scream and came running. The only one absent was Tyler, he probably had headphones on so he didn't hear it. The girl gets taken away, but not without her hysterically crying and telling Quinn she loves him. It takes three of their bodyguards to get her out and into a car to take to the police station. The six boys retreat to the living room. "Sorry boys but dinner is ruined. I dropped it when I heard her scream" Xavier explains. "We'll get take out instead. Let me just make the phone call" Xavier gets up and leaves the living room. The remaining boys huddle around Quinn and want to know what happened exactly. He tells them, but reliving it right away again doesn't help him to calm down. Quinn's body is shaking and the adrenaline is still coursing through his blood vessels. The crash once the adrenaline is gone will drain him. 'Maybe I should just go to bed. Tomorrow will be a new and hopefully better day' Quinn thought. Just as he is about to announce he wants to go to bed, Adam storms in.

"Everyone pack your bags right now. We're leaving as soon as possible. Mr. Lee just texted me. The incident with the girl just now alarmed him very much. The inside person or persons are really, really close. The girl had to have had help, otherwise she wouldn't have been able to get in. Once everyone is packed we'll leave for the company again to get further information. I'll tell Tyler. Move your asses" Adam says in one breath before turning around in search of Tyler. Vere jumps up to inform Xavier and the others dash to their rooms to get packed.
