life tries to get you down

As I saw open her purse to pay I just couldn't take it anymore and challenged the owner of the store
Not that I was a cheap person but imagine someone repairing a phone for a hundred dollars(the shop owner was way too overpriced) but he got really mad cause I butted in and started yelling at me to mind my business.

I thought that she'd see the right or wrong thing here and back me up but she told me to mind my business and that she can pay for her things
I figured that I was just putting myself in a difficult position where I wasn't appreciated and I should just leave when I heard her friends laugh behind me, I turned and saw her say to the salesman "don't mind problematic people like her, she's just trying to scare away your costomers ", the salesman who's btw's was ripping her off was just smirking and then agreeing with her (ughhh so annoying 🙄).

Her friends one a medium height blondie and the other a tall slender girl with black hair which surprisingly didn't change the fact that they all looked like clones of each other, but the one about to pay the insanely inflated amount really stood out like the original while the two others a copy of her, started snickering about they said and i quote "she's so cheap", "the man literally gave us such a great deal but looks like she can't even afford that " and other sentences like that which I didn't even bother to listen to.

I decided to leave that very awkward situation immediately they started cause I really hated insults regardless of wether they are true or not and didn't even bother to show the man my broken laptop which had brought me to the store in the first when I saw Ruby (my best friend) at the entrance of the shop apparently, she was waiting for me (cause I had told her that I would be there )as she wanted to go to the internet cafe to play our favorite online game (super deadly), and I smirked knowing I would be going to make another streak of being the best player in my guild for the seventh month in a row.

I don't mean to brag but I'm the best player amongst my friends and they always try to bring me along anytime they want to play, so on the way I told her about the girl I tried to help, the store owner, her friends and how I felt so upset about it as i had just tried to do a gokd deed . Ruby just told me that it's alright and that's it normal to meet mean people once or twice every three months (her very weird philosophy that mean people come and go ) and that strangely made me feel better , I really love that girl.

Later after taking a cab back to campus I dropped my things off at the dorm so I could go to the internet cafe with Ruby , on the way ruby said she was hungry and that we should get a quick snack before getting to the cafe , we decided to go to the burger joint that was just a few blocks to it.Ruby went to take our orders while I sat by the seat right next to the window, I had just dropped my phone and look up when I saw him, the schools hearthrobe, literally every girl i know can go on for hours about how hot he was but the thing was he ws rarely seen outside as he was busy with his fianal year projects(he was in his last year in college and best in our department, department of computer science), I really see what most girls were talking about in terms of his look but im really not one to judge one by their looks.

As I saw him passing by I felt like he looked at me but I shook my head, I mean how is that even possible seeing as we've never talked or interacted with each other before , and then he passed by and i was finally able to relax again, I looked over anf and saw that Ruby was already coming back with our takeout, and sinve we were going to the cafe we ate in the restaurant and headed there immediately, when we got there it wasnt packed and with only a few people in sight.
