Training

It's the next day, and my father has finally started training me. I've also decided to quit kindergarten; I didn't need to go, to begin with. I was mainly just bored. But now I've found something to focus on, physical training. I'm still not ready to train my actual quirk, and my dad agrees with me. "That quirk of yours is strong. If you're not strong yourself, then you will never be able to control it. You can't use your quirk for one year; if you can't agree to this, then I will not be training you." 'That's fine, I'm still scared of my own quirk anyway, and I won't try to use it until I'm completely sure I'm ready for it.' "Okay," I give a nod of assurance to my father. "Good, to begin, we'll do some stamina training, just try to keep a steady pace, to begin with." I nod again, and we start jogging down the street.

'Jesus, I hate working out.' Like I said, I was lazy in my last life. Me and working out or most sorts of physical exercises didn't see eye to eye. Anyways, we actually ran into Takao on our run. We live close to each other, so it's not that much of a coincidence. It looks like he's doing some training of his own. He's currently doing pushups on the side of the road. "Hey *gasp* Takao." This is also a perfect chance to get in a breath without dad getting suspicious. "Oh, hey, Ota." He pushes himself up off the ground and into the air landing on his feet, "What are y'all doing?" "Oh, you know, *gasp* just some stamina training," God, I'm tired, it's barely been a few minutes, and I'm already sweating. "Move your feet, Ota, don't think I don't realize what you're doing." My dad butts in, 'Crap, how did he know? I made sure to make it seem casual.' In all actuality, it was completely obvious.

"Hey, do y'all mind if I join you?" "I'm fine with it, as long as Ota is okay with it," my dad looks for my answer. "Sure *gasp* let's go." We continue running down the street, and time flies by. On our run, we actually run into a kid Midoriya and Bakugo. It looks like the scene from the anime where Midoriya is protecting a kid from Bakugo. I continued running, remembering that this is the moment Izuku realized 'Not all men are created equal.' Still, it turns out Takao had another idea. "HEY! What are you doing over there?" He calls out to a young Bakugo and two others that were just about to jump Midoriya.

"Who are you, dumbass?" A kid Bakugo asks. 'Welp, this is going to play out, huh? It's also kind of surprising, just by agreeing to let Takao train with us, the story is already changing.' "If you want to fight someone, fight someone your own size." Takao jumps the fence and stands next to a kid Midoriya. ''Own size' my ass, Takao is actually a year older than me and probably Bakagou too, he even stands a few inches over Bakugou.' "Hey, dad, I'm going to help out too, don't interfere, please." My dad finds it amusing, he'll probably stop if things get too serious, but otherwise, he nods. I nod back and go stand next to Takao. 'I've never really liked bullies, so I guess I can get over the fact that I'm influencing the story like this.'

The kids behind Bakugo look a little worried. Like most lackeys, they get scared when facing a fair fight. The kid on Bakugou's left has a quirk that apparently lets him elongate his fingers, not too great but maybe useful. The kid on the right has red wings sprouting out his back that lets him fly. "Let's not make a scene *gasp*. Just leave." I take point and talk to Bakugo, also trying to stabilize my breathing. "Go to hell. I'll beat all of you," he responds. 'Jeez, this kid has got one hell of a pouty mouth. I'm not much better, but at least I keep it in my head ... most of the time.'

He starts rushing towards me with his hand out. "Takao, let me deal with this." He seems a little hesitant but, "Okay." With that covered, I should mention something. -Bakugo gets right up to me and tries to explode my face, but I quickly get under his hand and away from the blast.- Although I hated most exercise, I did have one physical activity that I enjoyed -. I get right up to his chest and punch him in the stomach.- And that was martial arts, I always thought it'd be cool to know how to use your body when needed, so I took up this hobby. -He gets knocked back a bit but then tries to bring his hand down, aiming to hit me in the back.- This is also how I was able to 'dissuade' bullying back in kindergarten. -I move past him and get most of my body behind his back. I then grab his ankle and push myself back up, taking his leg with me and making him fall backwards onto his back and head.-

"Stay down, I'm sure you want to be a hero, and I do too. We shouldn't be fighting because that's not what heroes do." He stays lying there for a bit, probably from the surprise rather than what I said. I'm lucky; if this was grown-up Bakugou, he would've no doubt beaten the crap out of me and would just get back up if I did this to him then. "Let's go, Takao. They can figure this out." Takao looks a little surprised, and so does my father. This is the first time they've seen me fight, so it's understandable. Takao just gives me a silent nod, and we just start walking away.

"Waaitt." I turn around to see a little Midoriya looking at me with watery eyes, the kis he was protecting is also nowhere to be found. "I'm going to be a hero too. And next time, I'll save you." "Shut up, nerd, no one asked you." The winged boy says and flies at Midoriya. Takao quickly gets in front of Midoriya and prepares for a fight. "Wait," Bakugo says, still lying on the ground. He gets up and turns around, "We're leaving. This is boring now." He starts walking away, and the 2 boys hesitantly follow behind him. 'Oh, thank God, I thought I was about to get my ass beat. I'm really lucky young Bakugou isn't completely bat shit like his older self.' I nod at this idea and walk away with Takao walking next to me. "Thank you, what's your name?" Izuku calls back behind me. I reply, "Ota, I'm sure I'll see you around green hair. Make sure you get strong enough for me to want to remember your name." I mean for this to encourage him, and it looks like it works. 'I wonder how fucked up the timeline is going to be because of this one choice. Hopefully, there's not too much of a butterfly effect.'

We get back to my dad. He nods at me, looking proud of his son's extraordinary performance. Takao also seems to be ogling a bit. We get back to our training, and time passes fast.
