1 Wishes come true

Have you ever regretted saying something before you realized you spoke? Have you ever wanted to stop getting into trouble because of the sound you make? Have you ever had a wish you desperately wanted to come true? Have you ever thought what if? What if your wish came true? For Sal it did. One day Sal was taking a bath. She closed her eyes and submerged het ears drowning out the noise and pain of being human. While blissfully basking in the silence she felt an unusual surge within her and everything changed.

This new condition granted her a new sense freedom and release allowing her to better enjoy live. The pros to her new condition far out ways any cons. With her new freedom she no longer has to stress about a slip of the tongue. No longer did she have to lip-sing in the bath. No longer did she have to carefully close the door. No longer did she have to walk on eggshells around people because they fail to notice her. She can now freely squeal and stomp around in excitement for the new characters in Genshin Impact. She can now laugh to her heart's content at the Avengers antics in the theatre. For her being human is so much easier now.

Sal was never assumed that she was the only one to develop such a condition, she likes to think of herself as not being a narcissist.

At the moment Sal is learning that people with this type of condition is not a kept secret and that a rather large part of the population have it, 8 out of 10 people a full 8 out of 10 people according to the lady on the news. On the new is also a live on location report. In front of a high-end skyscraper a new police unit was escorting criminals to the vehicle. They had stopped the criminals from succeeding in destroying multiple buildings. Sal is internally congratulates them on their work well done.

Everyone's conditions are not exactly the same, it is just the base cause that is the same. The conditions were caused by the usual, someone had dumped enough of something into the sea and contaminated the world's water supply. Sal feels great concern for the wildlife.

Today is a good Saturday, sun shining, no clouds in the sky and a nice breeze is keeping the piercing rays of the sun at by. The weather in nice enough that some reckless teens are being extra reckless as they speed of in their truck almost knocking against Sal. Despite this Sal is concerned for their safety. Today Sal is visiting the local bank in preparation for any adverse effects on the financial system caused the new drastic changes happening. Suddenly heavily armed men wearing cheap dollar store character masks burst into the bank shouting their orders rudely at the customers while Sal was waiting her turn. At first glance it becomes apparent that that every bank robbery to ever appear within an action movie was used as a step by step manual on how to rob a bank as a clique villain. She chose the most inconspicuous corner she could get to to lay down. The thought of them accidentally stepping in her sends chills down her spine. As the robbers go about their business shouting at each other, intimidating customers and threatening the employees Sal is amusing herself counting all of the moles on one of their ankles. To her utter surprise she finds that the pattern of the moles is reminiscent of a language that popularly used within the fantasy genre most notably in that culture classic trilogy  Lord of the rings. Unfortunately Sal herself is having difficulty remembering the name of the trilogy.

A person that shares Sal's love of Marvel distracts her from racking her brain about the name of the movies. A person wearing a costume that pays tribute to Black Widow walked into the bank right through the wall as if its existence has no consequence. The Black Widow fan also did their utmost to walk like her. Strutting the signature slow motion power walk full of confidence with their back straight and chest held high.

Having had seen a video on how Scarlet Johansson struggled with her costume for the movies Sal feels some concern about the functionality of the fans costume. A nonfunctional costume will be extremely detrimental to the fan's health. Luckily for a hero in real life the costume does not need to translate aesthetically pleasing through a camera. The fan's costume is a tight body fitting suit consisting of multiple pieces made of a material that is very durable as the fire wielding robbers flame knife did not pierce the material. Just as the fan was starting to struggle against the robbers the police luckily charge in to assist them in a timely manner. The entire incident ended with only a single fatality. It brings great sadness to Sal that the fire wielding robber spontaneously combusted. May he rest in peace. The event were far more spectacular than Sal expected as the media are swarming the scene like locusts. Despite all that happened Sal feels strangely calm as if everything did not happen to her. She feels as if she was nothing more than a spectator. She will have to return another day.

Sal, not aware of the shock she feels, craves a classic chocolate milkshake. Milkshake and cake have always been her preferred form of sweets. She goes to a café where all the patrons are buzzing about the increased crime rate involving powers. Sal thinks on how changes where people attain more power really lowers people's inhibitions. It is almost as if the condition is a response to a person's wishes. Sal contemplates on how not all peoples wishes does not involve harming others while remembering what happened at the bank. After calming down having enjoyed a delectable meal Sal walked to the cashier. The cashier nearly jumped out of her skin when she saw Sal standing in front of her. She was concentrating on work and did not hear Sal approaching resulting in her not noticing that there was someone there. Sal fells very sorry for having frightened the cashier. Sal was amused by how the cashier reacted afterwards. The cashier sweetly smiled a gorgeous smile while clutching her heart and gently apologizing for not having noticed Sal. Sal gestures that everything was alright and pointed at her table to indicate her intention to pay for her meal. Sal left a generous tip as she was highly satisfied with the food and service, but mostly because she felt guilty for scaring the cashier.

While Sal was walking home she came across a man that had dropped an item that resembles an expensive custom hard drives pro gamers like though Sal is unsure. She followed him to give it back but struggles to catch up. She is finally able to catch up in a dark hidden alley in front of a door decorated with various spray painted images. When Sal tapes the man on the shoulder he had a more violent reaction than the cashier did. He also jumped but turned and assumed a defensive stance. He looks skeptical when Sal returns the item and thank her with a suspicious expression plastered on his face. The man then walked away with a brisk pace while looking over his shoulder multiple times. The next morning when Sal is having breakfast the news reports on a new police unit catching a person of interest they were looking for by coincidentally him walking straight to them on accident. Apparently they were in the process of identifying the alley the man was known to frequent when they came across him walking into an alley and caught him. Sal takes note on how similar the man was to the one she helped last night failing to notice any significance.

At work Sal was having the unusual experience of singing her heart out along to the music coming from her earphone no one actually hears no one hears her sing while she can hear herself. Sal continues to sing despite acknowledging that she does not have a very pleased singing voice but is glad that that others don't have to hear it. Her pleasant mood leads to her also tapping her feet along to the music. Sal loves working in this state as it makes tedious tasks necessary for work go by faster. Sal feels that nothing can ruin such a good day, not even the fugitives being pursued by costumed people and the new police unit flying past the 10th floor window.

Seeing that scene Sal is reminded of the new police unit and can't seem to remember what they are called. The new unit is called Doomsday Suppression Force or DSF for short. Sal thinks that it is better than some random person running around trying to be a superhero only to make things worse. Sal sincerely wishes them the best of luck.  Hopefully they can work together with those whose wishes are to become heroes whatever form it may take. Sal had a sudden realization, to her it is surprising that the new unit was formed so quickly. It is almost as if the government knew that these changes would happen.
