1 life of Ryan, the beginning.

Hello, my name is Ryan. I was born May third, 2002, in a small town named Leafond in Wisconsin. I grew up in a small house with my twin sister Jess and my father Thomas, who works as a truck driver, so I don't get to see him much. My mother sadly passed when I was three. I work as a line cook in a small diner called Famous Eats with my best friend Blake, who you could call my brother. My boss Greg, who owns the place, mainly checks in from time to time, but I have been in charge for the most part.

Now that I told you a little bit of my boring backstory, let's tell you about what happened to me this summer. Once in a while, I'll chime in to give some backstory or just to talk. However, this is how I met this beautiful woman and how she changed my life, so let us start with where I first met her.

Chapter 1.

"Order up!" says Ryan as he puts the dish of food he had just made on the counter for Blake to hand out.

Can you hand it out? I'm trying to close it. It's almost ten o'clock. I wouldn't have taken her order, but I don't know what happened. Just hand it to her.

"Fine, you owe me one," says Ryan.

Ryan walks into the dining room with a plate of food and walks over to the table where a young woman is sitting.

"Here you go, miss," Ryan says as he puts the plate of food on the table. Just one very rare and plain steak with nothing else.

"Thank you." the stranger says as she grabs a fork and knife to eat the steak.

"If you don't mind me asking, why such a rare steak?" asked Ryan.

This stranger looked elegant, fragile, and maybe something else, but Ryan couldn't put his finger on it.

"That's just how I like it," said the stranger while smiling.

This boy, I wonder who he is. There is something special about him that I can't even figure out.

"My name is Amelia, by the way," the stranger said.

"My name is Ryan."

"Nice to meet you, Ryan." Amelia said while smiling.

Ryan walked back to the kitchen to clean up.

"Hey Blake, what do you need me to finish?" said Ryan.

"No need. I finished everything with Jess when you were talking to that lady for a while," said Blake with a frown.

"Yeah, thanks for the help," said Jess with a grin.

"I'm sorry I guess time flies by when you're talking to someone."

"Whatever you say," Blake said while rolling his eyes.

Blake finishes what little is left while Ryan sits with his phone looking at pictures. His father sent him mostly road signs of where he's been and where he is going. Their father did that when the kids were younger, so they wouldn't worry, and it just stuck.

"Where do I pay?" said Amelia with a smile.

"What? Oh! I'm sorry, you can pay right here." Ryan said while blushing as he walked around the table from the cashier's desk to the register.

"That will be $8.72," Ryan said while opening the cash register drawer.

"No problem, and keep the change," said Amelia while handing him a fifty-dollar bill.

"Are you sure that's a lot of money?" said Ryan with a worried face.

"Take the money. We can use it." said jess.

"Consider it a tip," said Amelia.

Amelia didn't know much about this kid, but something about him seemed strange, maybe enough, so to stay in this small town, fifty dollars wasn't nearly enough to be considered a lot to her, so she didn't think much of it.

"Thank you," said Ryan with a happy face.

Blake, Jess, Ryan, and Amelia walk out of the diner. Blake, Jess, and Ryan walk left while Amelia goes right.

"Does that woman seem strange to you?" said Blake.

"Who do you mean, Amelia? I mean, what she ordered wasn't the weirdest thing I've made before," said Blake.

"I'm not talking about what she ordered well, maybe a little bit, but she just seemed off." said Blake.

"Yeah, I agree," said Jess.

"Well, she might seem off to you, but I thought she was nice," said Ryan with an honest face.

Ryan and Blake talked a bit more about the subject until they made it to their houses. Blake lives next to Ryan, so Ryan's mom raised him, Blake, and Jess together. Blake's father passed away when he was four, and it was the right place at the right time for both parents, so Ryan and Blake's parents got along quite well.

"Well, see you tomorrow at work," said Blake.

"Hey, slowpoke, it's Friday," said Ryan and Jess simultaneously.

"Well then, see you bright and early Saturday morning to play video games," said Blake with a friendly smile while lightly punching Ryan in the shoulder.

"Yea, yea, whatever you say," said Blake while lightly punching Blake in the shoulder.

Ryan opens the door, walks to the kitchen, and sets his keys on the island. Ryan grabs a shirt and pajamas from his room and takes a shower.

"Hey, sis, do you want to shower first, or does it not matter?" said Ryan.

"No, you can go first," said Jess.

Two hours pass, and both Jess and Ryan are in bed.

"So this is his house. It's nice," said Amelia to herself.

Amelia walks into the kitchen through the living room and past Jess's room into Ryan's room. Amelia neals down to Ryan just inches from his face.

"I do not understand why you are unique, but you will learn to forgive me in time.

"Hunny, your home late," says Blake's mom as she looks up from her book.

"Yeah, I know we had this last-minute customer, and Ryan had Gugu eyes for this woman. He won't say anything to me, but I know," said Blake.

"Oh, is that so," said Blake's mom with a raised eyebrow.

"Mom, I would like to talk some more, but I'm tired, and I'm going to bed," said Blake with a sleepy face.

"Ok, dear good night." Blake's mom said.

"Hm, I'll have to ask Jess about that woman's time," said Blake's mother.

"Ahh, please leave me alone!" screamed a jogger as she fell to the ground scraping her knee on the gravel.

"Aw, why did you fall? I like it when my food runs," laughed a man.

"Please, I have money. Just take it," said the crying woman as she dug through her pockets and threw a few dollars at the man.

"James stops messing with this poor woman," said a female appearing from behind a tree."

"Oh, come on, Amelia, you're such a buzz kill," said James.

"Whatever, just finish your meal, but don't kill her. This is a small town, and we don't need this trouble," said Amelia.

"Oh ok, you always take the fun out of everything, but why even save her? Wouldn't we just go to a different town," said James.

"We need to keep a low profile so the hunters don't find us," said Amelia with a worried expression.

"Oh, don't worry about them. We simply move to a different place before they find us, or we deal with them," said James.

"Maybe and maybe not. I found someone, and I just can't place it, but Ryan is special," said Amelia.

"Whatever you say, little sis," James said while smiling at the woman on the ground.

James knelt to the frightened woman.

"Hmm, she smells good," James said as he touched the woman's scraped leg.

"Stay away from me, you creep," screamed the woman.

"Look into my eyes," said James.

"Hu what? No, I… I won't do it, said the woman, slowly looking into his eyes.

"Yes, look into my eyes. You want to listen to me. You want to look into my eyes," said James with a smile.

"Yes... I do?." said the woman.

James slowly bent down until they were merely inches away from each other. James slowly opened his mouth to reveal two sharp fangs as he made his way to the woman's neck, piercing into her flesh and drinking the warm, sweet liquid.

He started sucking her neck, gulp, and then suddenly stopped. Would you like some? He said, wondering. After a few seconds, he returned to his delicious snack.

"No thanks, I'm good, and you had enough, so stop before you kill her," said Amelia.

"Fine!" said James.

James licked the wound he made on her neck, and it healed. Well, for the most part, the outer layer healed, but there will still be bruising.

"You will forget this ever happened," said James to the woman on the ground.

"I will forget this ever happened," the dazed woman said back to James.

"Good, now let's go. It will be morning soon," said Amelia.

The woman suddenly snapped out of her daze and pulled out a gun bang. It went,

"Ah, stupid bitch!"

James spins around to see the woman with a small pistol.

"You shot me. What the hell!" said James.

"Your damn mind tricks only last so long, demon." said the woman on the ground.

The woman pulled the trigger, hoping to reshoot him, but it clicked nothing

"Oh, it seems like your last bullet didn't fire. What a shame." James with an evil smile.

"Snap!"

Jame appeared behind the woman lightning fast, snapping her neck."

"What the hell!" said Amelia with an angry face.

"She shot me. What did you expect to happen? Besides, my mind trick didn't work on her." said James.

"Fine, whatever, let's go," said Amelia.

"Wakey, wakey eggs, and bakey," said Blake with a happy face.

"Oh god, what time is it?" said Ryan with a dizzy look.

"It's almost noon, and I got McDonald's, so eat up, and let's play some video games," said Blake with a happy face.

"Ug."

Ryan gets up, runs to the bathroom, and throws up in the toilet.

"Shit are you ok?" said Blake walking to the bathroom.

"I'm feeling better now," said Ryan.

Ryan walks out of the bathroom and sits down on his bed.

"Did you get any for Jess?" said Ryan.

"Oh shit, please don't tell her," begged Blake with a grin.

"Are you sure you're feeling alright?." said Blake.

"I'm fine!" said Ryan.

"Well, if you say you're fine, then I guess you're fine," said Blake.

"Hey, I want you to have this." said blake.

"What is it?' said Ryan.

"It's just a little trinket I found. Said Blake.

"Ok, I guess," said Ryan

Ryan hooked it on one of his belt hoops on his pants.

"Where is Brenda?" asked Ryan.

"Moms at work at this time," said Blake.

"Even on the weekend?" said Ryan.

"I guess she doesn't tell me much about her job, only that she will be gone for a while," said Blake.

"Yeah, I guess, but she has been working a lot lately," said Ryan.

"I try not to think about it much," Blake said sadly.

Blake grabs the remote from the end table and turns the tv on.

"Breaking news!" said a news anchor.

"Woman found dead near Leafond Sematary!" said the anchor.

"Holy shit, that's just down the street," said Ryan with a shocked face.

"You want to check it out?" said Blake.

"You read my mind," said Ryan.

Ryan finishes his food and gets dressed. Ryan and Blake head out of the house, walk down the block and pass the small park to the cemetery.

"Man is it always this bright outside?" said Ryan.

"Stop right there, authorized personnel only." said an officer.

"Officer Trudy, it's nice to see you again," said Blake.

"Oh, hi, blake." officer Trudy said while blushing.

"So what happened here?" said Blake.

"Well, I'm not supposed to tell people this, but I guess it can't hurt to tell you. A woman was found dead in the cemetery. No one knows how she died yet, but it doesn't look good. It looks like she had a gun, too." said officer Trudy.

"Wow, nothing like this ever happened in this small town before," Said blake.

"Why would you ever want something like this to happen," said Ryan.

"I wouldn't, but I just thought this was interesting, is all," said Blake.

"So, officer Trudy do you know who that woman is?" said Ryan.

"Well, I can tell you she's not from around here, maybe a tourist on vacation." said officer Trudy.

"Everyone move out. This is a crime scene!" yelled the sheriff.

Ryan looked around to see quite a large group had gathered around them.

"Ok, let's go," said Ryan.

"Hey isn't that your mom?" said Ryan pointing into the investigation area.

"What, no, I don't see anything?" Said blake.

"There you are. I was wondering where you went," said Jess with a concerned look.

"Sorry, we just saw the news and wanted to check it out ourselves," said Ryan.

"It's fine but let's go," said Jess while grabbing Blake and Ryan's hand and walking them out of the area.

"Yeah, let's go. I haven't been feeling that good," said Ryan.

"Oh, and I found the rest of the food in the bag, so thanks for lunch," said Jess.

"Damn, that was my food," said Blake.

"Well, too bad it was quite delicious," said Jess.

"Well, whatever, I'm not hungry anyway," said Blake.

"I brought my car so we can drive home," said Jess.

Jess, Blake, and Ryan walk to Jesse's car.

"So, Brenda, what do you think happened?" said the sheriff.

"I'm not at liberty to say I need you and your men to secure the perimeter and let my men handle the situation. Said Brenda.

"This is my territory. I know this is your specialty, but this is still my investigation." said the sheriff.

"Not anymore. My name is special agent Carter, and Brenda is my partner. I want a tent around the body and fencing around the perimeter; this place better shut down in two hours."

"Yes, sir!" said the sheriff.

"Hey Ryan, do you want to hang out ?" said Blake.

"No, I'm not feeling well, and I'm kinda tired," said Ryan.

"Ok, feel better," said Blake.

Ryan and Jess walk to their home. Ryan goes to his room, and Jess plops on the sofa to watch tv.

Ryan wakes up and looks at his clock on the wall. "Damn, it's already nine o'clock."

"Shit, have you seen the news? This is very bad, " said Amelia while pacing back and forth.

"Don't worry, sis, now go back to bed and get some sleep. You're going to need it because we're leaving tonight. Said, James.

"We can't leave, at least not yet there's this person-" "oh, that kid Ryan right," said James interrupting Amelia.

"Yes, and considering I didn't tell you his name, you read my mind, and you know I don't like that. Said Amelia.

I didn't read your mind. You would have noticed; I simply skimmed your mind. You were thinking of Ryan almost the entire time we have been here, so it wasn't hard. Said, James.

"I still don't appreciate that."

"Besides, do you think we will stay in this cheap motel for long?"

A loud bang went off outside the motel. You can hear it banging two more times; then it stops, and all that's left is a loud voice.

Open up, bloodsuckers.

"Shit," said James.

"How the fuck did they find us?" said Amelia.

"How the hell am I supposed to know," said James

He was cut off by a loud bang and crack. They knew they didn't have that much time, so James devised an excellent plan for escaping without having them. Notes he suddenly jumps up and runs to the bathroom.

James jumps up and runs to the bathroom.

"Come on, Amelia, there's a window back here."

Amelia runs to the bathroom, where James smashes the window and jumps through, and Amelia follows.

"Hey, they went back here." said an agent.

"Damn, they're gone." said another.

The second agent walks to the bathroom and sees they went through the window.

"Well, we lost them," said the double agent.

"I'm going to make a call." said the first agent.

The agent picks up his phone and clicks a contact in its ring. You can hear the call go through.

"Yeah,"

"Special agent Carter, this is Robert calling in to say we lost them," said the first agent.

"Fuck, can't you do anything right," yelled Carter.

"I'm sorry, sir, agent mark is still looking in the room to see if he can find anything," said Robert.

"Hey, there's nothing here; tell Carter." said mark.

"No need, I already heard you," said Carter.

"click."

"Shit, he hung up," said Robert.

"What do we do?" said mark.

"We go back to base camp," said Robert.

"Shit, that was too close," said James.

"I know, but I still don't know how they found us. Said Amelia.

"Beats me, but we need to go; let's find a car and get out of here. Said, James.

"Yeah, you're right. Let's go.

Ryan walks out of his bedroom.

"Pizzas on the table," said Jess.

"Thanks, but I'm not hungry." Said Ryan.

"Are you feeling well? I tried waking you up earlier, but you wouldn't wake," said Jess.

"No, not ever since the other day. I haven't been feeling well," said Ryan.

"Well, eat some pizza and," knock, knock, knock, "now, who could that be at this time," said Jess.

"Thud, thud, thud."

"Yeah yeah yeah, I'm coming!" yelled Jess.

Jess walked over to the door and unlocked the deadbolt opening the door.

"Crash!"

"Shit!" yelled Ryan.

Jess flew back from the explosive impact of the door hitting her; she tumbled into the refrigerator, hitting her head, and blacked out.

"Holy shit, sis, are you ok?" said Ryan.

"She is fine, probably just a little dazed," James said.

"Jesus, James, you didn't have to do that," said Amelia.

"Who are you, people? "Wait, I know you," said Ryan.

"you are that woman from my restaurant the other night," said Ryan.

"Yes, and this is my brother Jess," said Amelia.

"Hey, I would like to stay and chat, but we have some not-so-nice people after us, and my sister won't leave without you, so you either come with us peacefully, or I will knock you out and put you in the trunk.

Ryan looks at his unconscious sister and then looks back at Jess.

"Fine, I will go."
