About 9:55 I had already boarded my flight ready to leave Nigeria for england.

I sat quietly with my headphone on listening to some soothing music. The person who sat close to me I guess my age mates tap me, I jerked up and looked at him he then pointed to the air hostess, she greeted me and gave me a glass of milk. I drank a little and kept the leftover aside.

Just before putting back my headphone the guy introduced himself "hi I'm Jeremy". I turned to look at him and replied nicely "I'm Kristen". About to put on the headphone again he called out to me" you don't talk much do you".

I breathed heavily and said to him "you looking for who to keep you company while your bored"

He laughed and said "obviously"....."you don't look fully American are you black American…?"

I smiled at him and answered "kinda…are you traveling alone"

"Nah my folks are behind us" he said, we talked for quite some time and got to know each other better, told him my reason for traveling, though he felt remorseful he also said his dad died when he was 9.

He asked for my phone number and I gave it to him without hesitation

"So what part of England are you heading to?"

" Kensington" he sure is cute, I just smiled all through our chat, it's coming to an end soon and I may not see Jeremy again.

"That's dope…we heading to Oxford street, it's not that far from Kensington, we might get to see each other sometime. Will you start schools here or you'll be going back"

"I'm not quite sure but I'ma do a test run and attend to see if I fit in" thinking about it gave me goosebumps. Schooling in England, what If that's the case....oh no it's gone be hard fitting in "I'm sure it'll be nice to school here"

"Cabin crew, please take your seats for landing"

The plane finally landed...pheww!

I picked up my bags and went past security to board a taxi. A text came through, I opened it to see it was from Jeremy GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR DAD, WE'LL SEE EACH OTHER SOON what a nice guy right making her feel like she already belongs here. So she used the opportunity to call her mum and keep her updated on her arrival.

Moments later she stopped a cab and asked the driver to take her to Kensington "please am new here, take me to Kensington" the driver just nodded. 40 minutes later I arrived at Kensington. I found my way to 1A Addison street, Kensington, NSW 2033.

It was a huge estate.

Walked up to the front door and rang the door bell...

[Oh mind me..... I've got 3 step siblings, diamond, Jason, and Catherine. Diamond's 18, Jason 14 and Catherine's just 9]

My dad opened the door and cheered Kristen!! While hugging me. How does he know it's me, it's not possible except mum sent him my pictures. Catherine ran to the door "wow she's cute....big sis come in I wanna show you to your room".
