40 Chapter 40: New Powers

[Crush the Heavens, and make the Gods dread my existence, Deimos!... Slice my opponent with 10 million swords]: soren

Soren had pointed the tip of his blade towards Negi, and a bright light shot out the tip of Soren's Zanpakuto, as Negi dodged upon feeling the emanate threat, as he once again lost an arm, and upon looking back to where Soren once was, Negi noticed that Soren had disappeared, and frantically began looking around, before Soren's voice sounded from behind him.

[Looking for me?... Hehehe… This is where you die… Goodbye you bastard]: soren

Negi turned around, only to see Soren pointing a gigantic 4 meter broadsword towards the sky as it began absorbing the surrounding energies, while Negi felt that the sword was draining the energy from him, as well. Soren then swung the sword down towards Negi's head, and sliced him in half, as he split apart and fell to the ground dead, letting Soren power down, as his Zanpakuto took it's sealed from of a black katana, but it stayed by Soren's side, rather than being put back into the inventory space.

[That was quite something… A bit sad that I couldn't make a friend that experienced the same situation as me]: soren

Soren then swung the Katana before resting it on his shoulder, before he began walking away, while marveling at the sight of the planets in the distance that seemed to be quaking due to their earlier battle. As Soren was walking around, he felt that something was off, and turned to see that Negi's body had disappeared, leaving only the blood stains that soaked into the ground, dying it red.

[Now that's totally not horrifying… I split him in half… You can't tell me that he regenerated from that]: soren

Just as Soren put his guard back up. Negi's now completely intact body had lunged from the shadows and attacked Soren from his blind spot, but with Observation Haki, Soren saw him, and adjusted himself properly to dodge the attack, as he saw Negi's hand shoot past where he stood just seconds prior, and his nails seemed to be sharp, and appeared to be knife like, as each nail was pointed.

'This fucker was going to sneak attack me!': soren

Soren then swung his Zanpakuto towards Negi's body once again, and like before, Negi was chopped up, but seemed to regenerate, albeit slowly, while Soren only watched on with a look of pity in his eyes, as it seemed that Negi was no longer getting any kind of Zenkai Boost, as if there was nothing left in the pit to draw upon.

[Hehe… Seems like a Saiyan's strength isn't bottomless, after all!... It's over… Just roll over and die for me]: soren

[This is not over... My creator will indeed kill you, just you wait... Initiating Abandoning and Reattachment protocol… Leaving the current host… Destroying all evidence of residing within this body... Ascending back to the Creators realm]: negi's system

Soren then watched on as Negi's body began to be covered in a bright light, as he blocked the light from burning his eyes with his hand, and as the light dissipated, Negi's eyes seemed to go from the pitch black eyes, back to the white eyes, before he regained his pupils, as his eyes returned to normal, before his transformation wore off, and Negi fell to the ground unconscious. After a few hours passed, Soren watched as Negi woke up, before Negi began looking around, while he was deeply confused by the change in scenery, as the last thing he remembers, was clutching his head in pain, as he looked at the notifications from his System in his head, and he tried to mentally communicate with his system.

'System?... Hello… Are you there?... Hmm… Status!... Quest!... Shop!... Inventory!... Nothing's working!': negi

Negi tried to make contact with his System, but nothing worked, as it seemed that he no longer had the System's power, and as Soren watched this happen, he sighed before he spoke up.

[It's gone]: soren

Negi heard Soren's voice, and quickly turned around to see what he was talking about.

[What do you mean?... What's gone?]: negi

[Your System… After you blacked out… The God who sent you here possessed your body, and then had the System that he gave you fight on his behalf, and after I beat it, it decided that you were unsuitable for its creators plans, and abandoned you to be assimilated with its creator]: soren

Negi was a bit surprised, but there was nothing he could say or do to refute what Soren told him, and in the end, he accepted it as he got up to begin stretching, as he felt that he had been beaten and dismembered, as a shiver went down his spine. Negi then began jumping up and down, while cracking his neck, before he noticed that his tail was limp, and upon closer inspection, he noticed that he couldn't move it in the slightest, as it just hung there.

[That's strange… Did I break my tail again?]: negi

The fact that his tail was unresponsive to his actions of trying to move it, didn't seem to bother him, as it had happened many times before, but after a few weeks of healing, it was as good as new, and now that he had Senzu Beans, it would heal instantly, but after taking a single bean from a bag that he keeps on his person for emergency uses, and eating it, his tail still did not respond to his actions.

[What the fuck!?!?... What's wrong with my tail!?]: negi

Negi quickly began trying to touch and squeeze it, but nothing was felt, as if all the nerves were cut and disconnected, and his tail was now just an accessory. Soren noticed this, and then he remembered some of the words said by the system before it's departure, as he then spoke up, while catching Negi's attention.

[You are no longer a Saiyan]: soren

[... What?... What do you mean, I'm no longer a Saiyan?]: negi

[What I'm saying, is that you lost all the powers that were given to you by the System upon its departure… Just try to fly]: soren

Negi did as Soren suggested, and just like Soren thought, Negi was unable to fly, as well as unable to sense Ki, or turn Super Saiyan. Right now, Negi was 100% mortal, or rather, he was even weaker than a mortal, as he had no Ki flowing through his body at all, meaning that even a farmer with a BP of 5 would mop the floor with Negi if Negi didn't use martial arts to combat the brute strength of the farmer.

[Come… We should go, as I don't think this planet will hold up for much longer, and you can't survive in space anymore, since you don't have the Ki to make an oxygen sphere]: soren

Soren then opened a portal back to Earth, and both he and Negi stepped through, and appeared back where they first had gathered, right outside of West City. Soren then watched as Negi's face seemed to darken, as a deep depression began to wash over him, as he began to walk back to the city, as his dead tail dragged on the ground, while Soren silently followed from behind him while pondering on what he should do now.

'The kid is distraught, that's obvious… Should I make him a cultivator?': soren

As Soren was thinking about the advantages along with the disadvantages of giving Negi powers again, the both of them had finally made it to Bulma's house in West City, before they both entered the gigantic estate, as Negi continued his depressed walk of shame into the home, while Soren would have been awe struck at the sheer size of Bulma's home, if not for the homes in the Cultivation world.

'Hehe… The normal cultivators home is bigger than this': soren

Soren then followed after Negi with his hands behind his back, as his robe swept across the floor, and soon, the two of them were in the backyard, where they saw Bulma and Chi-chi, along with Bulma's parents sitting down at the patio table, while both Goku and Vegeta were sparing in the air, as the group at the table watched on.

'Can they even keep up with the speeds they fight at?': soren

What Soren didn't know was that Dr. Briefs had created a special pair of contact lenses that could slow a fight down just enough to let them watch with ease, while they fight would continue at the pace both Goku and Vegeta wished to fight at, and after their fight concludes, the contact lenses would still be replaying the fight for a few more minutes. Bulma happened to sense a new presence, and quickly turned her attention towards Soren and Negi, as a look of rage filled her face, before she lunged at Soren to pummel him into the ground, and knowing that he messed up, Soren just let it happen as he resigned to his fate.

[You asshole!... You gave me power I didn't want!... I just wanted to look beautiful… boohoo *fake crying*]: bulma

Upon hearing the commotion, both Vegeta and Goku stopped their fighting and came back down to see Bulma whaling down punch after punch onto an unconscious Soren, while Negi seemed to have a look of fear on his face, as he watched Soren's soul try to fly up to heaven, only to be grabbed by Bulma, and shoved right back into his body to continue suffering the beating.

'Rest In Peace… You were a great God': negi, goku, vegeta

After Vegeta got Bulma to calm down, Soren got up and began dusting himself off, while he appeared to be physically fine, while mentally and spiritually, he was a wreck, as he now feared Bulma, and even when he tried to cover his body in Haki, Bulma seemed to break right through it like it was nothing.

'Was that the famous Heroine Plot Armor that lets them actually cause damage to the MC who seems invincible to even the Demon Lords?': soren

As everything began to settle down, Goku was the first to point out the lack of Ki within Negi's body, and it was not like he was hiding it, as it was extremely hard to rid the body of the presence of Ki, as even the plants released the presence of Ki, so being void of Ki was akin to being non existent.

[Negi… What happened?... Why can't I sense any Ki from you?]: goku

[Yeah… Kakarot's right… And your tail… It's never down like that… It also looks dead… Did you break it?]: vegeta

As Negi and Soren heard both Goku and Vegeta's question words, Negi shook slightly before he spoke.

[I'm no longer a Saiyan]: negi

Upon hearing that, both Goku and Vegeta were extremely confused.

[What do you mean?... You can't just change your race… Look! You still have a tail, and everything!]: goku

Goku tried to make sense of it, while Vegeta stayed silent trying to think about Negi's words, and then after a moment of silence, Negi spoke again.

[No… I lost my genetics as a Saiyan… More like they were stripped from me, and I am just a human, while I am also the weakest being in the universe]: negi

Upon hearing this, both Goku and Vegeta were surprised, as they had never heard of being stripped of one's race, along with making them lose all their power, but seeing as it appeared to be true, they just felt bad for Negi, as they tried to change the subject, as it might make Negi even more upset. And for a whole week, Goku and Vegeta trained, while Soren, Gine, Mark, and Kouki began to relax at Bulma's home, while occasionally, Negi would come and watch Goku and Vegeta fight, while trying anything to feel the presence of Ki in his surroundings, but nothing came to him, while Whis would make visits sometimes, as he wanted to see what Soren was up too, while packing some food that he would force Soren to make upon winning a bet, or a fight, and even Whis was surprised towards Negi's condition, and even he couldn't bring back Negi's power.

[I'm sorry, Negi-san… But I can't do anything for you… But if you perhaps knew who stripped you of your powers, then maybe Soren over here can help you reclaim them… You see what he did for Bulma, right?]: whis

[Yeah… It's not that simple… But you did give me a great idea, Whis-san!... Thank you!]: negi

Negi seemed to have brightened up upon coming to a realization, while Whis just laughed, before taking both Goku and Vegeta to train on Beerus' planet. Negi seemed a little upset that he couldn't go, but he would soon make his way there, but first he needed to do a bit of groveling to someone who can give Mortals power, and with this idea, Negi spent the next week begging Soren to help him.

[Please!... Just help me like you helped Bulma!]: negi

[No!... Why should I help you?... Also, I didn't help Bulma, it was just a gift that kept on giving]: soren

[Please!... I'm not asking for much… I just want to get my powers back… I'll do anything!]: negi

Soren was getting tired of the constant harassment, and at one point he even wanted to kill Negi, but upon thinking how it could affect his relationship with the others, he decided to at least hear out Negi, and see what he has to offer.

[Anything?... Then if I were to ask you to be my slave for the rest of your pathetic life, you would?]: soren

Upon hearing Soren's snide remark, Negi grit his teeth, but he really wanted to get his powers back, as he even tried to make a wish with Shenron, but even Shenron couldn't help him, so he swallowed his pride and spoke.

[Y-Yes, M-Master!]: negi

Soren only slightly smiled, as he could tell that Negi was desperate, but he didn't know why, but seeing as geving Negi power wouldn't put his life at risk, he took out 2 pills, and threw them over to Negi while explaining.

[The white one will return your energy, while the orange one will boost your energy… You can pick what energy you wish to cultivate, but there is nothing I can do about returning your Saiyan race genes]: soren
